UPDATE 10/18/09 - I am leaving swapbot again due to all the flakers.. it is so discouraging to put all you have into a swap only to receive nothing in return.. I have had 3 recent swaps where I was stiffed.. it's just not worth the risk anymore.

I am a married Christian mom of 3 - 1 girl that is almost 9, and twins boys that are 3. I started crafting at an early age and after a brief hiatus have returned to my first love :) I love hand-embroidery - mainly cross stitch and crazy quilting.

I stopped swapping on swap-bot for a while because of all the people not getting their items - or getting substandard ones... I have decided to give it a try again.. and so far it's been awesome.. I have gotten such wonderful packages from everyone... and been rated by all but one.. I kind of have gone a little swap crazy.. and it seems am spending a fortune on postage.. but I have been having so MUCH FUN!! I forgot how much I enjoy swapping.. I spent a year or two focused on selling and got burned out.. this has gotten my creative juices flowing again.. I remember now how cool it is to receive things from people all over the world. That being said - I am much more picky about the swaps I join - only ones with strict profile requirements.. and when I host swaps I am just as particular.

Anyway - I pledge to rate for every swap I get.. and I appreciate that if you are sending to me and are going to be late - please send me a note.. I always try to contact my partner before I rate a 1 or a 3.. I am a seasoned crafter, but I appreciate the love and effort put into everything I get from the novice to the expert..

pink/brown or aqua/brown combos... I love batik fabrics.. vintage fabrics.. just about any fabrics.. except I cannot STAND disney or looney toons anything - especially disney or looney toons fabric.

~colors - just about anything except for putrid colors like mustard yellow or pea green.. my favorite color combos are pink/brown, aqua/brown, green/brown

~felt food patterns from Japanese pattern books or very inexpensively on etsy

~vintage aprons or vintage apron patterns (can be reproduction stuff)

~reproduction vintage fabric - 40's, 50's type stuff with cherries

~anything with teapots, tea cups, or birdhouses

~cloth napkins that can be embroidered

~storage containers for my crafts - big and small

~buttons (the kind you sew on)

~rubber stamps

~blank cards (blank on inside and out)

~love seed beads!! All colors..

Gosh I have done it all but right now I am totally into ANYTHING made out of felt.. felt food, food with faces, pin cushions, dolls, softies.. anythign I can sit down in my recliner and sew by hand while I sip my tea.

I have also gone back to making prim dolls, it really is fun..

My crazy quilting and cross stitch is on a back burner, but I feel an urge to work with it real soon.

I hoped I would never have to create this section.. but alas.. I have..

Ratings Flakers-

@chanel on the FAD:Brown Fat Quarters - this was so disappointing as I made sure to customize the quarter she got according to her profile and sent her a baggie full of extras also based on her profile.

Flaker Flakers- @katara on the handmade corsage swap.. no message it was late.. no nothing..

@jacksbluejane Owl and note swap - this was especially sad because she was the hostess.. she had been my partner on another swap and had "issues"..

@elmi - Creative Card Challenge - Use a Quote - obviously not angeled since the flaker was also the host - I had to contact her to see if she would send (since it was marked "not sent" after the deadline).. she said she would send in a couple days and 9 days later it's still marked "not sent".. the saddest part about it (not including how I worked hard on what I sent to my partner) was that she was the HOST of the swap. ~this was angeled by @redrooster

I have one that doesn't fall in either catagory.. @cllfdl I volunteered to angel a swap and the person didnt even have the courtesy to tell me it arrived - eventhough she read every message I sent her..
