Hi, my name is Helen and I’m from Staffordshire, England!

I love all things crafty, especially papercrafts, crochet, knitting, sewing and handlettering. I've recently become addicted to snailmail and absolutely adore all of the decorated mail that is being exchanged around the world.

I’ve been happily married for 20 years and have 2 gorgeous boys (18 & 19) and 2 crazy dogs.

I love live music of many genres, in particular I like indie rock, acoustic rock and solo artists like Ed Sheeran. I also enjoy the outdoors and like nothing better than taking my dogs for long walks, especially on the beach.

I work in travel and plan destination weddings all over the world. I'm really passionate about travelling and love to visit new places and experience different cultures and cuisine.

When I was in my teens and early twenties I had many pen-pals around the world but sadly technology took over… I've recently started writing to pen pals again and now have friends in the USA, The Netherlands, France, Indonesia, India and Canada - I'd love to connect with people though Swap Bot and make new friends by swapping and letters.

I usually like to send medium to long letters with little gifts depending on what my penpal likes – sometimes stationary items, washi tape, tags etc, other times it’s chocolate or tea… In exchange I’m happy with all styles of letters or postcards, some of my friends don’t decorate their mail or include gifts and that’s fine with me, it’s nice just to share letters 😊 – but if they do send gifts then it’s always nice to receive little things (stickers, tags, anything paper related!) No tea for me, I’m a coffee girl!

I also really enjoy quotes, particularly if they are handlettered – I like to practice my handlettering and try different style fonts and pens. I’m still a novice but hopefully practice will make perfect (one day)

I'm really looking forward to getting involved with Swap Bot and getting to know lots of like minded people.
