My name is Hayley, and I am 28 years old. My birthday is on October 1st. I am married to my high school sweetheart. We got married on 12-22-2003 His name is Jason and he is 28. His birthday is on June 1st.
We gave birth to our first child on March 1st, 2008! So excited to be new parents!
Jason is in the U.S. Army. He spent all of 2006 in Iraq, and now is a veteran, having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom III. And he will have to go back to Iraq in Fall 2008, unless things change by then. We are stationed here at Fort Hood in Texas, but we are both originally from Minnesota. It is much different down South! LOL. We have been in Texas since 2004.
We have our 2 cats who are like our children! LOL. We have Jax who is 3. Jason got him for me for Christmas in 2004. He is black & white, and fat and lazy, and kind of a mutt. LOL. Then I got Jason Dexter for his birthday in 2005. Dexter is little and skinny and he is 2. He is a Siamese, and looks like a little tiger. Dexter is definitely “Daddy’s Boy?. When he was a kitten he peed on my bed pillows so I would not sleep next to Jason in the bed. Bad kitty! LOL.
I am just a housewife. I like to call myself a SAHAW (Stay At Home Army Wife) kinda like a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom). LOL. I will probably get a job when Jason goes back to Iraq.
Pretty much anything. I have a million songs on the computer that range from spiritual to rap to rock. Depends on my mood. I really like anything. I am easy to please with music. But I suppose what I listen to the most is Top 40's.
I like the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy. I also like a good "chick flick" and comedy. I love Drew Barrymore too, so any movie she is in will probably be something I will enjoy.
Big Love, The Sopranos, Starter Wife, Army Wives, Grey's Anatomy, Dog The Bounty Hunter. I am a TV junkie! Is there a support group for TV addiction?
I do have to say, I read more than I watch TV. So that is more educational or something. LOL. I have stacks upon stacks of books I still need to read, and boxes full of books I can't bear to get rid of. I could open up a used book store! (One of my dreams actually!)
Scrapbooking, latch & hook, anything creative like drawing or painting or writing. I'm pretty outdoorsy too and like to garden and tinker with my flowers.
I collect way too much! LOL. I think I need a support group (just like for TV)! Heh heh. I collect: Anything with dragonflies or butterflies on it, shot glasses, novelty knives, postcards, vintage postcards, Chinese fans, dream catchers, candles, anything Army or patriotic, Americana, stickers, pens, books, and anything Minnesotan or Texan, foreign newspapers, and state spoons and bells, etc, etc. The list goes on and on.
As for swapping, I like to swap letter-type swaps as I love to write, FB’s, stickers, postcards, etc. Depends on what the swap is. I am up for anything most of the time.
My favorite colors are red, white, and blue (together), or just yellow. Or black. I like crafty things, or creative things. I am a total mail junkie. So anything I get in the mail is great.
I dislike browns and grays for colors. I don't like typed letters, especially for pen pals letters, as it seems so un-sincere. But I of course understand some reasons for needing to type, like a handicap or bad handwriting.
