A little about me: I am married for 19 years to a very hard working man who is involved in several leagues and organizations. Keeps him busy while providing me plenty of craft time. We have one adult daughter who is in college. I work part time, I love my computer and the friends it has enabled me to make - swapping is just one of the things I enjoy doing, reading is another hobby I really enjoy immersing myself in another world through books. I am an avid baker and enjoy collecting recipes too.
I listen to a variety of things but mostly I like oldies and classic rock. I do enjoy musicals too!
I like to watch the Big Bang Theory (it makes me laugh something I don't do often enough!) Grey's, Ghost Whisperer and Numbers but the world doesn't stop if I miss them :) I try to watch The Amazing Race & Survivor each week - I really enjoy both of those shows it lets me see places I will probably never get to. I am not so much a TV person and would rather read a book or play in the craft room.
I love rubber stamping and I guess you can say I am a paper addict since I just seem to want every pretty paper I see and often have a hard time saying NO. I especially love mat stacks like Basic Grey (my most FAV!), Paper Studio and Die Cuts With a View in the smaller sizes like 6x6 or 4x6 since I use them for card fronts and layering.
*funky socks :) this is my first love LOL!
*Leanne Ellis Designs: http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=47_54
*Doodle Factory by Starving Artistamps
*Innovative Stamp Creations nature stamps ROCK!
*brads and charms
*rik rak - all colors and sizes!
*Paper Edger's (punches & scissors)
*Cuttlebug embossing folders
*ribbon (1/2" wide or smaller - I don't find much use for larger width ribbons)
*Glues - Tombow Brand and double sided tape mostly but am open to try most any!
*Patterned Paper (Basic Grey is my most FAV!)
*decorated envelopes - just leave room to address them please
*handmade items are always intriguing!
*hot cocoa (regular and flavored) NO coffee I do NOT drink it at all
*canceled international postage stamps
*CHOCOLATE!!!! he he
*Books : cozies and Christian mysteries and fiction are favorites, Cooking series mysteries are fun too - I like to cook and bake!
*Pampered Chef clips
*Scents I like are Vanilla and florals, for instance I like Gardenia and Sweet Pea
*I like baking so cupcake liners, cup cake toppers & decorations (especially handmade ones), mini bread loaves liners or other baking necessities.
*I can't knit or crochet anymore so I would love dishrags and/or hand knit socks or even a purse/bag. I am open to swapping something I make for one of these so just PM me if you would be open to that also.
My daughter:
* LOVES Nightmare before Christmas so anything there is always welcome!
*favorite colors are pink & black
*loves music especially hard rock/metal (her choice not mine LOL)
*she is also a funky sock lover - she converted me!
*her passion is photography
*she is getting married next year so any ideas you have for table favors would be great too!
*plastic pieces parts - I don't use them and they just end up collecting dust. I am not into the big and bulky embellishments or additions.
*I also don't care much for glitter. (glitter glue ok but messy glitter - not so much- lol)
I've been doing the book thing alot so though I might add some favorite authors and series to help out those who are choosing :)
I like Sue Grafton and have read all the way up through P.
Felicia Mason I just read Sweet Devotion - very good :) What happens next?!?!?!?
Other authors I like: Mary Higgins Clark. James Patterson, willing to give most any mystery author a try
Darn I can't think of the author but they are cooking mysteries and the main character is Goldie - she is a caterer.
Really anything is fine though - I like to READ :) Keeps my brain agile LOL!
I have been doing the monthly book swap and love the variety of books I have received - new authors new genre's.
Bookmarks are always welcome too!
