Hi, I'm Maike!
I'm into sewing swaps right now, though I started with some kawaii ones. I still like deco tape a lot, but I already built up a huge collection and just add some tapes I really like every now and then. So no more kawaii for me at the moment :). I prefer just a few swaps a year that I can put the right amount of work and dedication into.
I just love beautiful cotton fabrics and jacquard (woven) ribbons.
Some of my own ribbon designs (folklore-fox&badger, vintage clover, rainclouds and raindrops so far) are available at Schuy's. For international customers: you can contact Andrea for all her products in English. Her address is info@schuys.de
Please try to stick to the right form if you want your package to arrive. The ZIP code comes first! It's:
name
street and house number
ZIP code and town (no state)
country
fabric
♥ Cotton fabrics from the 70s (such as old bedsheets) and Japanese and American cotton fabrics. Those beautiful quilting fabrics become more and more popular and available here, but they are still very pricy. It usually still pays off to order fabrics from the States DESPITE high postage and customs.
♥ jacquard ribbons (though the most beautiful ones are from Germany :-) and a huge variety is easily available here- and I already have most of them, so it's rather a thing I can give in swaps). I'd love to get "jcaroline creative" ribbons by Jessica Jones: the adorable squirrel and funky flowers designs. If anyone would like to swap for any German ribbon don't hesitate to contact me!
♥ I LOVE 70s/former East German terrycloth towels and bedclothes, so feel free to contribute to my collection, ehm...
crafting supplies
♥ rubber stamp blocks such as staedtler mastercarve or speedball speedycut/speedycarve or moo carve
baking supplies
♥ cute and extraordinary cookie cutters
♥ I love non-realistic cute apple prints (fabric)
♥ Actually I love everything apple
♥ I love duvet covers with cute apple prints, I have a great vintage collection: it seems that apples were a popular theme in the 70s. One of my favourite designs:
♥ I love vintage duvet covers with heart prints, see above
♥ Some illustrators and styles I adore:
Sanna Annukka
Klaus Haapaniemi (I'm all into Finnish design)
Quentin Blake
Voz Perkins' Monster doodles
Shinzi Katoh
Rob Ryan
(East) European folklore
Sergey Jakushev
Axel Scheffler (oh my, his SQUIRRELS!!!)
Bill Wattersons's Calvin and Hobbes
Clare Mackie (her animals are so adorable)
♥ I like fast driving. Unfortunately my car doesn't go faster than 110 mph. It's such a snail :(. I wish I had a Volkswagen Scirocco III or a Volkswagen EOS. My favourite colour would be brown ("Dark Maroon Metallic").
♥ I love thunderstorms, clouds, rain and most of all snow. I feel most comfortable with temperatures between -10°C and +15°C. I hate the feeling of sun on my skin and I just can't stand temperatures above 15°C. I'm so not into spring and summer- call me a slater :)...
♥ I wish to move to Finland one day (though I would really need regular care-parcels filled with German sweets)
♥ I love Dsungarian dwarf hamsters- the best pets I've ever had♥
♥ I like playing cello
♥ I love Arabia Moomin mugs
♥ I love former East German and 70s terrycloth towels and bedclothes, in fact those are mainly quite ugly, but that's what I like best :-P
♥ I'm quite peculiar on pens:
I only use Lamy Safari fountain pens (I have all of them) and Lamy Logo ballpoint pens
I only use Rotring Tikky special 0,5 pencils (I have them in many many colours♥)
I love Faber Castell Polychromos♥
♥ if you are from Australia or Great Britain: for some reasons I absolutely don't understand my sister loves Vegemite and Marmite. Sorry, but that stuff already stinks like hell- how can anyone EAT it?!?!?!? She prefers Vegemite, though she usually eats Marmite, as she's got friends in England who provide her...
♥ I like all colours, pale, bright, vibrant. I'm very much into all shades of purple, teals/turquoise, brown. I don't really like vibrant blue, green and red, but all other shades like light blue-it's all about combination...
♥ food swaps. I sign up for chocolate swaps every now and then. I'm not picky when it comes to chocolate in any form. I prefer milk chocolate though, as I'm not very much into dark or white chocolate. But that's just a preference, I occasionally eat dark/white flavours too. Please no liquid fillings and no alcoholic fillings, but I'm absolutely fine with all kinds of nuts, fruity fillings (like strawberry-yogurt), I love coconut chocolate, wafers, caramel, toffee (no brittle...)/fudge, marzipan, gingerbread-flavours,...
♥ please no food unless I sign up for food swaps- with a few exceptions: I love Kitkat mint (usually green wrapping), it's absolutely unpopular and unavailable here (why oh why???) and I also love peeps marshmallows (you don't really get marshmallows here :(.
food swaps: I don't like gummies, liquorice, hard candy and crisps (chips), I'm all into chocolate, bisquits and cakes!
I don't like tea/coffee
Hmm, I hardly ever listen to music, so I really can't tell.
I don't watch television a lot... But there are some shows I like nonetheless. I usually like watching the Simpsons while eating dinner. I also like shows like Dexter, The Mentalist or Malcom in the middle, Scrubs and I love The Big Bang Theorie- though we often miss seasons on German television. Well, I prefer watching the originals anyway. And I'm very much into all kinds of superpower stuff :-). I recently discovered a badly dubbed rerun of Little Britain on a comedy channel. I'd prefer the original but I think it is hilarious regardless.
I'm not picky on books, as long as they have a nice cover (very important ;) !) I'm willing to take a look at it at least. Though I'm not into thrillers, love stories or historical books.
I like sewing, though my skills are still quite poor. I just bought a new sewing maschine, so I'm really into sewing right now. I also like to carve stamps. And I love baking ♥. I can't even cook noodles ;) and I don't like hot/warm food in general, but I'm pretty good when it comes to baking cakes and cookies.

I am loving the item you sent as a replacement. To the point that I have looked up the pattern to make a few as gifts. Fits easily in all my pockets so one more reason I don't have to carry a purse. YEAH! I don't like purses. Thank you so much dear
I still have yet to receive anything from this swap yet
