not currently in any swaps because I'm not sure what I want to do swap-wise--going thru a lot of transitions right now
b 1960, live in Rhode Island USA. Work as a database manager.
Very important: because of allergies, dislikes and whatnot, in surprise/mystery/item swaps please DO NOT send the following items: jewelry, FOOD, cosmetics, any and all scented items (perfume, candles, bath stuff, potpourri, etc), child-oriented stuff, household items, religious items (my religion is best kept to myself and I don't need to be converted to anything).
ALWAYS ACCEPTED IN ITEM SWAPS: Interesting ethnic music (storebought or burned CD), art supplies (markers, funky interesting papers, fibers, buttons, unusual beads, origami papers, handmade paper, ephemera from where you live, vintage photographs or printouts of same). Someone claimed that art supplies are too broad so maybe this will help.
favorite colors: purple, teal, sapphire blue, red, rose, earth tones
I implore you--PLEASE pay attention to my dislikes--if you send me rubber stamping and art supplies, funky papers, postcards, stuff like that I WILL BE HAPPY, overjoyed, jumping up and down and ecstatic!
jazz standards, swing/big band, classic rock, U2, Beatles, 70's, 80's music, classical. I really really really love Mozart's clarinet concerto
Dune, An American in Paris, When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, Singin' in the Rain, Casablanca, Saturday Night Fever, Star Wars #4
hmmmm. my tastes tend to change. RIGHT NOW: PBS' Secrets of the Dead, most episodes of NOVA, Scientific American, CSI Las Vegas, Law & Order Criminal Intent. I am not too intrigued by the upcoming fall season. Nothing really interesting looks like it's on the horizon--all rehashed from what has gone before.
artist trading cards, altered books, altered floppy disks, art journaling. If it has to do with paper, I have probably some interest. I would also like to get into mosaics. I also collect postcards, dust bunnies, stamps.... And writing too--can't forget that. I also collect stamps but I've been doing so for over 30 years and am very specialized in my interests
