I am a busy restaurant manager from South Carolina who spends what little free time I have on crafts and reading. Along with the crafts I listed as favorites below, I enjoy trying to learn how to use my new camera (Nikon D70s). Trying to learn to paint using watercolors and also draw. My work is stressful so I try to take my mind off it with anything that I can. I am not married but I have been with the same man for nearly 6 years now. No kids. We talk about getting married but to be honest, I am content being as we are right now. This year I may even try to squeeze in some gardening. Even if it is only in containers. I absolutely love going to thrift and antique stores. Just browsing everything is like eye candy.
Favorite crafts, hmm.. I love embroidery. I recently was turned onto redwork and have have been looking for good patterns to try doing my own. I am learning to sew and would love to make a quilt in the near future. I have a fabric addiction and need to put all I have to some good use. I picked up knitting and crochet and taught myself after weeks of frustrated knots and twisted cabling. I wanted to learn because growing up I watched my great grandmother crochet bedspreads, table cloths and anything else you could imagine. I wish I were more interested in it while she was alive, I bet learning from her would have been amazing.
Sex and the City. I can't wait until the movie comes out later this year. As for what is still on tv, October Road. It is simple.. but there is something about it.
I love cupcakes. Real ones, felt, knitted... anyway I can get them. Pink, aqua, white, light blue, and red are my favorite colors. Litte birds. Stripes, dots, and flowers. Anything Cath Kidson. Cooking. Collecting lait bowls and tea cups. Vintage knitting needles. Chocolate. Pink, pink, and more pink. Vintage linens. Baskets. Anything Ikea. Apple scented candles. Favorite mags - MS Living & Romantic Homes.
