I will be moving to Florida mid-December. Then I will be moving to Korea in February 2012. I will keep my mailing address up to date.
Hello! My name is Danielle, but feel free to call me Dani if you like. I am currently 25 years old and living in North Cali with my amazing husband (Bobby) and my furballs.
I tend to be very laid back, but I can be very serious as well. I'm open minded and usually willing to compromise. But I can also be extremely stubborn with certain matters. I can also be very, very silly at times. I sometimes ramble on and on...
I'm not easily offended, so don't worry about that.
My tastes go from one end of the spectrum to the other. Cute pastels to black and dark jewel tones. Childish to sensual to elegant. Strawberries and Skulls. Ribbon and Lace to spikes and chains. :)
I love cute stuffed animals. Amigurumi, felt stuffies, kawaii plushies... I love them all.

I am a HUGE strawberry addict. I collect anything strawberry themed with one exception: I'm not very fond of strawberry shortcake the character. I will never have enough strawberry items. I have no idea why I love them so much, but they never fail to make me happy.
I love learning and trying new things. I love to travel and meet new people. I am fascinated by Ancient History, Foreign cultures, sub-cultures, alternative fashion, music and languages. I have an uncontrollable curiosity about most anything I come across.
I am currently learning Korean, Japanese and Spanish. Penpals or educational tools to help with these studies are always very appreciated.
For pen-pals: I can read Hangul fairly well, but I can't speak much Korean at all yet. For Japanese, please use romanji or Kana as I still have trouble translating Kanji.
I am slowly trying to pursue a degree in Cultural Anthropology. Moving around is making this difficult.
I LOVE learning about lore, legends, myths and superstitions from all over the world. So if you know one about your area or country, please share it with me!

I am fortunate to be married to a wonderful, supportive Hubby who encourages my swap-bot interests. haha He enjoys looking through my mail with me. He loves spicy things, dark chocolate and is a complete Tobasco sauce freak. He puts it on EVERYTHING! (ick!). He also likes interesting pens, origami, instant noodle dishes (especially Korean noodles), asian snacks, lotto tickets, Starbucks and Sanrio's Baby Coco (I like Baby Naru).
We have started to collect "couples" items, it started with matching shirts and coffee mugs my MIL has given us. We have a nice little set going now.
Yes, we are cheesy like that. ;)
Random examples of things I like, collect or use often:

Food & Beverage: Tea and hot beverages. Dark Chocolate. Unusual foreign snacks or candy. Funky flavored kit-kats. I have no allergies, I'll try basically anything once. lol
Favorite Colors: Black, white, creams, pastels & jewel tones.
Favorite animals: Alpaca, American Pit Bull Terriers, Woodland animals, especially deer, Fox & rabbit. Mythological / fantasy creatures like Unicorns and werewolves.
My favorite styles and themes are: Lolita, Gal, Shabby Chic, Gothic, V.K., Victorian. Strawberries and skulls.
My Personal Style: Varies from cute to edgy depending on mood. If its "Kawaii" or "Rock / edgy" or bold... I'm likely to wear it. I like fun rings (especially the two-finger rings), pearls, ect. I can't wear regular earrings as I wear 4G jewelry in my ears. handmade jewelry and cute plastic jewelry is fine. Hair accessories are always welcome. Especially cute hair pins or clips. I do wear neon colors sometimes. Leather & Lace, Spikes & Pearls, Ribbon & Chains, that sort of silliness.
Cosmetics: No allergies. I have fair skin with a pink undertone. I love neon colors and pastel colors. Especially irredescent shimmers, metallics or glitters. I love products with cute, elegant or creative packaging. I'd love to try some more BB cream samples, I'm trying to find one that works for my tone.
My favorite time of year is the Fall. I love cold mornings, snow and looking at the stars. I love falling leaves and petals, koi ponds, dancing cranes and mountain views. Catching a cat nap in the afternoon with Freya is bliss. I love window shopping.
My favorite Holidays are Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are all so festive and cheerful, a great time for family fun. I'd love to hear about your favorite time of year or Holidays.
Types of crafts I dabble with: Crochet, knitting, sewing, cartonnage, stamp carving, embroidery, cross-stitch, plastic canvas, scrap-booking and making envelopes.
My Scrap-booking themes are: Military (USAF), Genealogy / family tree, Victorian Era, Meaning of Flowers, History of the American Pit Bull Terrier.

I love Kawaii stuff.
Especially strawberries!
I am not picky about brands or country of origin. items from Daiso type stores are awesome! I especially love functional items such as tape, mini stamps, cases, pouches, notebooks, Cute face towels, tissue cases, ect. Little things that can make daily tasks more enjoyable. I'd love to trade for things like this.
I do not care for diddle...
My favorite characters are:
Other characters I like are:
I also love rement! Isn't it amazing how much detail can go into something so tiny?

As much as I love books, I'm slowly de-stashing most of my bookshelf and am avoiding putting more on it... I just repeatedly find myself drowning in books. ^.^" So I've decided to only keep my favorites in print form and am considering getting an ebook reader for most others. Its just too much to move around with. :(
I am still open to trading for books and magazines on cross-stitch, embroidery, felt, plastic canvas, crochet and beginner sewing projects.
I pretty much love music in general.
Some of my favorites include:
2NE1, 4Minute, Brown Eyed Girls, NIA, Lee Hyori, Koda Kumi, Olivia Lufkin, Anna Tsuchiya, Ayumi Hamasaki, Dir En Grey (especially old stuff), Seraphim Shock, the Gazette (especially old stuff), Phantasmagoria, Panic Channel, Soroban, Malice Mizer, Lollipop Lustkill, Project Pitchfork Red Hot Chili Peppers (OLD old stuff), Depeche Mode, Bif Naked, Souixsie and the Banshees, Christian Death, Zeromancer, Genitorturers, AngelSpit, Hello Drama, B.P.Z, Aural Vampire, Switchblade Symphony, Vampire Requiem, Rammstein, Pitbull, Toby Keith (Yeah, I said it.), Therion, the list goes on and on and on.
