I'm a mother of 2 boys, ages 14 and 6. I also teach middle school age children, grades 6-8 (talk about the "wonder years"!) My interests include quilting, gardening, reading, and papercrafting of all kinds.

I have a love for vintage chenille fabric, roses, shabby chic decor, jadite, our 5 year old Beagle & our shelter rescue part angora kitty. School is back in session and so there ends my summer fun! I hope to continue to do as many swaps as time will allow!

I will ALWAYS rate my swap partner. If I haven't rated it means I haven't gotten it.

Also, I don't send extras just to get hearts. I may send something extra if I have something I think you might like. I never expect a heart, but will be pleasantly surprised if you give me one! In turn, I don't give hearts just "for extras". I give them if I get a warm and fuzzy feeling from whatever you sent me!

Love Andrea Bocelli, Norah Jones, Paul Simon, opera, some country, stuff my kids listen to, oldies, The Beatles. Pretty much a whole lot, maybe just not heavy metal.

Have been trying to read Eat, Pray, Love. But lately, all I read are textbooks and student papers!

I love historical fiction (favorite was Cane River)

Anything on HGTV, Desperate Housewives, Project Runway...can't wait til next season!

Love the silly like Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Romy & Michelle, Wedding Crashers, or romantic comedies like Hitch. But also like serious movies such as The English Patient, Beaches & The Color Purple, Once Around and The Shawshank Redemption.

Scrapbook goodies like charms, letter stickers, die cuts, stamps, ink pads, pretty or unusual paper

vintage aprons, hankies or buttons

FQs (not a fan of batiks, real "country" like geese or ducks or ethnic prints, but love novelty fabrics with sayings, household items, vintage.retro look, 50's art, etc)

ATCs have been fun to learn how to do and I'm thoroughly enjoying them. It's a challenge to come up with something different each time and to use just what I have (I try not to go out and buy anything else as my craft shelves are already overflowing!)

In fabric, right now I'm into browns & pinks, aqua & brown, anything that looks aged like shabby roses & ticking. I love the color of jadite green (like the dishes), the contrast of black & white.

My only real pet peeve is when fabric or paper smells of smoke. I am extremely sensitive and can sniff it out right away! If you are my partner on a swap, a small piece of a fabric softener sheet in the package would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not into the real cute stuff like Hello Kitty but if you send it I wouldn't be offended. I have nieces that would love it!

Other than that, I'm pretty easy going!
