NEWS My father is moving in with me and it's turned the house upside down! Some of you may be receiving swaps a little later than intended, I've contacted you, and I apologize for the wait. This week is Thanksgiving holiday for the uni I work at, so I'll have time to catch up and maybe even get ahead (fingers crossed) while my mother helps me make room for Dad.
If you've not received a tag from me after 2 weeks, PM me! Otherwise, I'm good on the swaps (as long as I remember to check under the car seat for lost packages!).
I'm a university librarian (I specialize in Literature) and have been quilting less than a year but am already addicted.
My first quilt was a gift for my Dad at Christmas. It was an applique quilt of grizzly bears. I became seriously addicted to making those bears, so much so that my parents turned a room in their house into a sewing room for me, my Aunt gifted me a sewing machine, and my grandmother and aunt and I now go to quilting classes together.
It's been lovely. In fact, I'm making quilts for friends, family, and people at work because I want to quilt and need to give them to someone!
When I'm not quilting, I love being crafty in general from making jewelry to handmade cards.
My favourite holidays are Halloween and Christmas. My Mom and I always give each other Halloween gifts. And my best friend and I occasionally do as well. :)
I love to read and write fantasy/sf.
Also in my life is my sweet boy, a doxie, named Baron von Wienerschnitzel. He's a long-hair and the sweetest boy ever.
I love swapping tons of different things. Always have since I was a kid. I'd trade baseball cards with the boys and stickers with the girls. Today, it's often books with friends and fabric and quilt patterns with family.
My favourite colours are nature-related. Autumn colours like cinnamon or pumpkin-orange, grass greens, ocean blues, etc. I'm definitely not a fan of pastels.
Also, I will always do my best on any handicraft skills, and if it doesn't please you, please contact me and let me know what I can do to make it up to you before you rate me poorly. I do so hope this never need happen!
