Hi!
I'm an 19-year-old second-year Theatre student at the University of Victoria. I have a variety of interests. I love bold and interesting anythings, going to new places and taking in the culture, cooking - especially organic (though I'm still learning how, and how to be a vegetarian), making crafts, everything.
My DISLIKES: Anything cheap (I don't mean monetarily - I'm all for bargains! But in quality. I like stuff that lasts more than two uses around, you know?), Kitsch, Anything I can't actually use
That having been said, I won't send anything of bad quality or that is cheap, either. I realize this is not a one-way, me-win street. That would just be rude.
I love everything unique - I am such a sucker for quantity control. :) My favourite colours are pink, blue, lush greens, white, and red. I believe in quality over quantity. But then again, a quantity of quality never hurt anyone! ;)
I'm learning to knit right now, and I love it. I am also learning how to cook in vegetarian style. I also make handmade wallets (it's become something of a business, actually!) I love chocolate and girly pampering stuff (although anything from a chain store makes my skin hurt a lot), soothing teas and good books. I am a big fan of everything organic and fair trade. I am a huge environmentalist, so earth-friendly ideas make me very, very happy!
I happy, fun, and positive things. :) What I am hoping for in swaps is something fun that I can use, that I can make, that won't just sit on a shelf getting dusty.
Living in Canada, I'm not certain how long it will take for things to get to me, or how long it will take for them to get to you. I try to send everything Priority Post, and I always send before the deadline, but if, for some reason, it doesn't get to you within a reasonable amount of time, that's why.
I'm pretty much self-taught (and always learning with practice!) in: paper crafts (ie: collage, making wallets, decoupage), knitting, silkscreening (designing and printing by myself), and watercolor painting.
Eventually, I would like to learn to: Paint with acrylics, Sew
I have a little list of little things that will let you get to know me a little better.
When I grow up, I want to be a(n):

I have a true phobia of needles (not like when people use the word "phobia" and mean they're just scared of - no, a real one) of needles. I plan on giving blood once before I die. Oh dear!
