Part XI

It's time for another round of the "For the Movies" swap! The rules are basically the same and are as follows:

We all have movies that we purchased and then just didn't really like or just don't like anymore. For this swap, you will be exchanging 1 of those movies -tv series are also acceptable- in it's ORIGINAL BOX with 1 partner. These should be original dvd's only. No copies. These should also be "region 1" dvd's. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Region1DVD) This swap will be USA & Canada only.

Users with no-sends, ratings lower than 4.9, & anyone with less than 5 ratings of a 5 for postal swaps will be banned.

Last day to sign up/drop: December 16 Last day to send items: December 19

This swap is sender's choice & NOT profile based, so please do not make any requests. (That takes away from the fun of the surprise.) Please remember that anything within the guidelines is to be accepted graciously.

*DO NOT SEND ANYTHING WITH A RATING WORSE THAN "R".

Animals wearing Sunglasses ATC

As an antidote to all those serious New Year's resolutions, let's have some whimsy! Animals wearing sunglasses!

It's a simple swap. Create a total of two ATCs (one each for two partners), and meet these two requirements:
1. Animal(s) wearing sunglasses;
2. No stickers as the main element.

Have fun, be silly, and make something at least as nice as what you'd like to receive!

This is a swap to send a Christmas Card - NOT to your partner, but rather,
to someone that your partner knows, that your partner thinks would like some cards.

The person in need of some cards might be hopitalized, or, home-bound, or, in the military, or, away from home in some way, or, just someone your partner knows, that doesn't get many cards for the Holidays.

When partners are assigned, you will contact your partner and get the address of the person your partner wants you to send a card to.

Your partner might choose to have the card sent to themselves, and, they will give it to the person,
or, your partner might give you the actual address so you can send the card directly to the person.
Just send the card to the name and address that your partner gives you.

It might be nice to add a little cheery greeting of your own, too, on the card.

Handmade or store-bought is fine.

I hope I am not stealing this idea from some other swap that is like this. (sorry, if I am)

I am thinking this is sorta tacky to include the swap name inside the card - I think it might make the recipient feel bad, if they think they are some sort of charity case..
So, I am thinking,
that we should just email our partner saying when we sent the card..
and, the partner will contact
the person to see if they received a surprise Christmas card, and, then, the partner can rate you.

In a nut-shell: Send one Christmas card to a person that your partner knows.

Your partner will supply you with the address.

Merry Christmas to all.

Favourite music videos

I love to discover new music, so I thought what better way to do that than through a swap?

You'll have 5 partners and to them you'll send between 7-10 links to your favourite music videos (from youtube, veoh, yahoo and similar sites).
Of course it can be any genre since this is a senders choice and a sender's favourite.

Everyone is welcome to join!

10 photos email swap

This should be an easy swap, open to everyone, as being an e-swap, I am quite happy to angel.

For this swap, you are required to email your partners (there will be 3) the last 10 photos you took. It doesn't matter what they are off, because all of us like tot ake photos of different subjects (for me its mostly pets, others like scenery, art, etc). They should be the last 10 photos you took from when your partners are assigned. They don't have to be anything special, they don't even have to be perfect, just as long as there's 10 of them. You can tell a bit about each photo if you wish.

So, when your partners are assigned, send them the last 10 photos you took. If this is confusing to anyone, just ask and I'll answer.

You have one week to sign up, and one week to send.

Large Letter Postcard Swap

Greetings everyone!

You will have 5 partners. Send each partner one store-bought large letter postcard written and stamped. You will be sending a total of 5 postcards (one to each partner).

Please make sure you have 5 Large Letter cards to send before signing up for this swap.

This is an international swap so there is potential for you having to pay for international postage for 5 postcards. International postage from the US to another country is 98¢ (or 75¢ to Mexico or Canada).

Rating of 4.5 required. I will angel any flakers - please let me know if you are flaked on.

Please remember to rate your partners after you receive each card.

If you have any questions or if I am missing any details to the swap, please let me know. Thank you!

Book of the Month (December)

BOOK SWAP DETAILS:
Can you believe it’s already December and the year is winding down! It’s time for another book of the month swap!
I'm putting the send date later than usual to avoid the craziness at the post office before the holidays. Feel free to send earlier, though!

If you were in the last round of swaps, cool–send along the book you received. If you’re joining for the first time, pick out a book you liked, hard cover or paperback, but intact (both covers and all pages complete!) and send it to your partner.

**IMPORTANT!** *Please put a card or paper on the front inside cover so each reader can add her name. You can use a post-it if you don’t want to tape or glue.* Some swappers have been putting address labels in so we can see where they’re from too. If you don’t want to do that, please just put your name and location.
It’d be fun to register these books at Bookcrossing, a website for exchanging and passing along books. You can add a review there and keep track of where your book travels. Check it out at www.bookcrossing.com It’s free and kind of fun! If you receive a bookcrossing book, please do register it. You don't need to join to do that.

It is okay if it's not be the kind of book you (or your partner) would normally read, The idea is to try reading something different. Who knows, you might find a new favorite genre or author! If your your new partner has already read your current book (check the list in the front!), please just send a different one from your collection and keep the other book for the next month and a different partner.

For hearts you might add extras like popcorn or book marks, that kind of stuff. Look at your partner’s profile to see what they may like. But be aware that you cannot send media rate if you put in extra stuff!

USA only to keep expenses lower. Feel free to start an international one if you like!

Please pm before you rate someone down if you haven't received your book.

I hate to have to add this, but we've had some flakers, so no Newbies, and you must have at least a 4.5 with NO no sends in the past year. If you're a newbie or someone trying to claw their way back from a bad spell, please pm me and I'll set up a private swap for us. I will ban anyone who hasn't been online within a week of the deadline or who has recent late or no-sends.
Have fun. Happy book swapping and reading!

Let's Crochet Me a Granny Square

So I have seen these types of swaps before, and I thought it'd be a fun thing to do! Let's crochet 11 granny squares to send to 2 partners. The squares must be 10 inches by 10 inches in size. Be sure to leave the tail long enough (at least double the size of your square) so that you can connect your squares. By the time we get all of the squares from your partner, you will be able to make a small sized afghan. You are welcomed to make the afghan any size shape or style or color you want. How ever I do ask that you try not to use fancy yarns. Brands such as Redhart or I love this yarn! brands that are machine washable are fine, but don't use textured yarn. You are welcomed to send your partner fancy yarn as an extra for a heart if you like. Same with the granny square! You can do a traditional style granny square or make different kinds! Just make sure the squares are 10 inches and an even size... Heaven knows its hard to piece together an uneven afghan. This will be a great way to use up some of those odds and ends of scrap yarn that's just sitting there taking up valueable space! OR it can give you an excuse to buy new yarn! Either way lets have fun! Be sure to post pictures of your finished product in your flicker or blogs! I am making sure to give you enough time to make the 11 squares for your afghan!

Handmade Angel Ornament Swap

This will be a quick swap for a Handmade Angel Ornament. I participated last year and got some very nice ornaments for my tree. They can be made using any craft medium of your choice -cross-stitched, crocheted, knitted, plastic canvas or whatever craft you do. Please make sure the ornament is a good quality that anyone would be happy to have on their tree.

You will have two partners and make them one ornament each.

If you have any questions please feel free to let me know.

LOLcat/macro email swap

'Tis the season... to laugh!

Send each of your 3 partners THREE of your favorite LOLcats or other macros. (That's three pictures to each of three partners.) Feel free to send more if you have more favorites, but you must send at least three.

**What are LOLcats and macros?**

Macros are pictures that have been captioned with funny, bold statements. There's a whole sub-culture of macros featuring cats, since cats can be caught in such funny poses, and these are known as LOLcats. Here are some places you can find LOLcats and other macros:
- [I Can Haz Cheesburger?](http://icanhascheezburger.com/)
- [Celebrity Macros](http://roflrazzi.com/)
- [Sports Macros](http://upnextinsports.com/)

And here are some examples:

![Kaffee](http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/1472/batyn3.jpg)

Send your three favorite LOLcats or macro pictures to each of your partners via email. Please remember to use the BCC: option so that you keep everyone's email addresses private.

3.7 or higher ratings only, no recent no-sends, message me if you want to explain your circumstances for exceptions to this.
