Comment: Thank you for your nice card. I had this card before, but sent it off for a swap. Yes, when I visited Paris in 7/10, mostly everyone had no bicycle helmet. In North America, it's different. Enjoy Spring!
Comment: Thanks for these great PC and the extra! I will send the 2 out in Round 30!
Sounds like there was a lot of damage, by weather, by you! Please be safe when you go out and about! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: I'm really disappointed with the choice of postcard. I understand the swap was sender's choice, but my profile specifically asks that partners not send things of religious or political affiliation. So imagine my surprise at the card you sent. I don't condone war or the amount of money that is wasted on supplying weapons that destroy people. Not sure if it was deliberate or not. Perhaps you didn't read my profile. But I find it difficult to understand why you couldn't find any other type of postcard to send but that one.
Response: I'm sorry! I don't send postcards like that to anyone. I am trying to think of the postcard I sent to you but can't. The only thing I can think of was that it must have stuck to the one I wanted to send and the other fell off in transit. Again I would never send anything like that intentionally. Shirley
Comment: Thanks for the post card showing Vermont. I have friends who used to live in Manchester Connecticut but a couple of years ago moved to Northampton just outside Boston. They think New England is amazing, one of these days I will have to go and find out for myself! Best wishes
Response: Small world! I am originally from Northampton. Moved to NC to get away from the ice and snow. You should go visit in the fall when the leaves turn, it is breathtaking. It is like nothing you have ever seen. Go visit an apple orchard, lots of fun!
Comment: Thanks for the postcards you chose for me, Shirley and the fun little extra suitcase cards. Sorry to hear your town is still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Florence. We were lucky here in SW Florida as Michael passed us by before slamming into the northern part of the state. Fingers crossed for the upcoming season.
Comment: Super fun map card, Shirley. So, I, too, went down the rabbit hole looking up the place names in the Czech Republic listed on the map. It seems that the Stola Josef is a mine that offers tours for the public??? Fun postcard -- strange destination. Thanks so much. :)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful waterfall pc! I think you are my first partner from NC that I'm aware of :) I had never heard of Mooresville either until I met my boyfriend in college 9 years ago - and I only lived an hour and 15 min from it in Greensboro haha New Bern is a beautiful place - I'm so sorry to hear how devastating Florence was for you guys. I wish you all the best of luck with the rebuild.
Comment: Thank you for re sending Shirley. What a darling card. I know what you mean about slowing down on Swap-bot, last year I sent out over 300 cards and received almost that many. This year I think I sent out around 200 cards. Stamps go up another 5 cents this year so I’ll probably cut way back again this year. I do buy a book of stamps when I go grocery shopping if I have some extra money that week because I love sending and receiving Christmas cards. I already have 2 books of stamps put away for Christmas. Hope you have a very happy birthday coming up.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Christmas card. I received it back on 12/20, but I fell behind in rating swaps due to the holidays. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all the best in this new year : )
Comment: Thank you for this postcard. I like it. I would like to visit this city. When I came here almost 30 years ago. Nobody seemed to notice Christmas. They did give presents to children on Jan. 1st. It's a "name day or saints day" for Saint Vasillies. They still do it but now days Christmas is also a day for presents. Also people now put up lights and such stuff and have Christmas trees. I don't work from Nov. until Apr. I am rested but not bored. be well, I wish you to have faith, love and health in 2019
Comment: Thanks for this great PC! Yay, everything is big up here, except for the deer! They have Sitka Black Tailed Deer that, even when full grown, their shoulders are only 4 ft high. I'm originally from WI where the White Tailed Deer are 6 ft+ tall and will beat the tar out of you if you don't get them first. LOL These are so tame, they follow my DH around when he goes on walks. Happy New Year! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Thank you for the different postcard. I love different cultures and I love learning about them. I am always asking questions when I don't know about something because thats the way I feel we learn!
Comment: Yikes! I thought I had rated for this swap but must not have hit the save button.Belated but sincere thanks for the great postcards and for including an extra. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
Comment: Thank you Shirley for such a pretty card. Yup, I too suffer pain. Esp. from my MS. Some days are worse than others. Today isn't too bad & I look forward to these days. I myself have been SSD since 2001. I was 40 at that time & am now 57 going on 58 Feb. 5th. I hope you're doing alright and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!~
Comment: Oh wow what a GREAT BLUE postcard... I am getting ready for a daughter's wedding TOMORROW and then Thanksgiving with out of town company......and and and and I needed to remember Keep Calm & Carry On.....thanks......
Comment: Thanks so much for the great card and the crocheted ornament! Love it! You did forget to write the name of the swap on the outside of the envie, which is a requirement of the swap. The poor pups where you live! Would their masters like to walk around barefoot?? Probably not! The trick with the boots is to start the dogs off when they are young, but if you can't do that, then make it a positive experience for the dog. Of course, you probably already know all that. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Happy Holidays!
Received the resend on Saturday. Thanks! I have been under the weather with influenza. Hope you are staying well at your house.
Comment: :) Although you did not send me a winged fairy on a dinosaur's shoulders - this was a fabulous swap indeed! Thank you for reading my profile and thinking of my love for typewriters and telephones. The cards are absolutely lovely! And thank you also for passing the traveling postcards on. Have a wonderful day :)
Comment: You sent such a beautiful card! I am so sorry you ran into all those expenses because if the hurricane! We are so excited for Christmas this year. My son will be 2 years old the week before Christmas so the holidays are a big deal now to us! And thank you for the fantastic tea!
Comment: Hi Shirley,
I hope your town is drying out from the hurricane.
Thank you for the notecard, I absolutely LOVE it. Where on earth did you find McCall’s pattern notecards and matching pattern themed envelopes? I feel special to receive one. I don’t know that I would send these fun cards to anyone, haha! Thanks again hope you and yours are well, safe and dry.
Comment: Hi Shirley,
My little red travel sewing machine is called a king. It works with batteries or adapter, weighs nothing and does a good job piecing when I take it on trips. I get extremely hyper after work and use to self medicate at the Waffle House. LOL now I self medicate by crafting. Lot less calories for sure 😀
Comment: Thank you, Shirley, for the lovely package filled with such fun stuff. The fabrics are perfect for my crafting style and all the extras are much appreciated. That strawberry bag and the little worry cat are just too cute! Thanks:)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful NC PC and for joining this Swap also:-) I have been to NC many, many times. My Grandparents lived in Morganton-way up in the mountains. I think it is where I got my love of mountains.
Comment: Thank you so much for the great swap!! So sorry I missed rating you earlier. :) I LOVE the tea and the recipes too!! The grilled iceberg one sounds interesting for sure - heck they all sound interesting! Will definitely give them a try. :) Thanks again!!!
Comment: Hi Shirley,
Thanks for the Chappaquiddick PC. It features such a dramatic sky.
We have been to Edgartown but never went onto Chapy. I agree with you on Maine vs. the Vineyard. I'm biased though.
Comment: I should give you two hearts for your extra card! Thank you so much! I do love trees! I sure don't know much about Martha's Vineyard, so it was a surprise to see a tractor there! (Another "T") It looks like a Farmall - like the one I learned to drive on in Nebraska! Thanks again for the beautiful postcards! Happy swapping!
Comment: Absolutely love all the wonderful purpose you sent! Can't wait to quilt with them!! Mine loved the dream catcher and I just can't believe all of the special selection of fabric you sent that will be perfect for my I spy quilt!!!!
Comment: I got 2 maps, 1 banknote, many used postage stamp and special coin of Vietnam and Beautiful Quarter : District of Columbia Frederick Douglass National Historic Site, April 3, 2017.
This envelope is special for my in this Month.
Thank you very much.
Comment: Thank you! Do you ever dig for shells? My family likes to take shovels to the beach and dig the sand away layer by layer, hunting for shells.
Response: I don't remember digging for shells. But I do remember digging for clams. We used to soak them overnight with breadcrumbs to get the sand out of them and then steam them. Usually dipped them in broth to clean them off and then dip them in melted butter butter. Pure heaven. Shirley
Comment: Thanks for the multi-color skein of yarn! I've never used one of those types before. And that crocheted doily is beautiful -wow! the colors are gorgeous! Thanks for the sunflower notepad.Happy Swapping! Jen
Response: Jen Glad you like them. I haven't used the yarn yet either, so I can't wait to find a pattern to use mine. Thank you for the rating and the heart. Shirley
Comment: Thanks so much for the beautiful package. Love the nightgown, slippers, and all the goodies. Hope you are doing well. I will write to you snail-mail. Keep swapping.
Response: Carol, thank you for the rating and the heart. Looking forward to your snail-mail. Just am getting over a very bad case of stomach bug which has literally kept me from doing anything.. I have never been so sick. Hopefully when the good weather hits and I am able to do things outside, I will begin to feel better. Been a very long winter and no spring.
Comment: Thank you, the cookbook is awesome and the mock apple pie is I think going to be the first made. I may have a winning apple pie recipe (figuratively speaking, my work and friends LOVE it) without apples sounds interesting.
Response: Hope you enjoy it. I also enjoyed reading the whole series of books that went with it. Love the mock apple pie recipe. My friends are in awe when I tell them what is in it.
Comment: Thank you- I love the generous assortment of note cards you chose to send to me and I enjoyed reading your note. We've also had the coldest winter here in memory, and spring has taken longer than usual to warm up- but I think we are finally there! Wishing you good weather to enjoy your gardening!
Comment: Hi Shirley! I received the traveling PCs you passed on plus the extra for me to keep - thank you! I haven't gotten the postcard I sent out traveling yet either... I wonder if I'll ever see it again. Best of luck to both of us that we get ours back!
Comment: Thank you for the great card and telling me about your weather. Ours is going up and under the freezing point, today was only 14°F in the morning but in a couple of days it should rise to 37°F. I can't wait for real spring!
Comment: Thank you for the interesting cards. I have been through an air refueling jet at the 190th Kansas Air National Guard base here. They have the KC-135 Stratotankers. One of my ex-son-in-laws was a mechanic in the unit.
Comment: I'm having a hard time finding something that starts with "F". Pancake? Blueberries? Butter? Maple Syrup? That's about it. Great card, though. * Duh! That went right over my head. Thanks, Shirley.
Comment: Somehow, I archived this swap instead of #10. Love the Carolinas. Talk about cold winters!!!!! It's 35 degrees and sunny today in N. Ohio. . Another storm coming in tomorrow. As they say, "in like a lion"....I hope it goes out like a lamb.
Comment: Hi, I received you 2nd send out. Thank you so much. We have plenty bridges here. Just no covered ones. Hopefully one day I can see one in person. I always thought they were neat.
Got the first card you sent in the mail today. Thank you so much. I will send one to you as well if you don't mind. Thanks again for re-sending.
Comment: Shirley! this was a amazing gift box! I absolutely loved everything in the box. The notebook was actually made into a movie and its one of my favorites! so happy to finally have the book. I look forward to using every single thing in the box. did you make the kitchen mat yourself? love all the cute stationary stuff they will all get a good use out of.. Again thank you for everything.
Comment: Fun card -- I love the Arizona version of that card, which I send out frequently. Sorry for the late rating. The family put some swaps on the craft table; it got ignored for 2 (??) weeks. Happy swapping.
Comment: Thanks for the PC. I didn't realize Texas was part of the Confederacy. We just visited friends in GA two weeks ago, and they still call us "Yankees"! So funny.
Thanks again! -----And then I opened the envelope with TWO blank postcards inside! Wow! You outdid yourself! Thank you so much! I like them all! Thanks again!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard! I love Vancouver. :-) Alaskan cruise is definitely on my bucket list (such great wildlife), although I may just go the cheap route and get a cabin on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry. I hope you get to do your Alaskan cruise someday!
Comment: Thank you â¤Â¸â™¥â™ªâ™«*¨*•.¸¸⤠for the sweet ANNIVERSARY card that we will open on that day... & the great gift! I really do appreciate the Coca~Cola lunchbox and it will go lovely on top of my hoosier with my Coke collection! I hope you Enjoy a 💙💚💛â¤ï¸ðŸ’œ rating! Blessings, cc
Response: c c, i am so happy we could resolve the no show card. I am so happy that you like the Coke lunchbox. It has just been sitting in my home waiting for a new place it would get appreciated. Thank you for the rating and the heart. Shirley
Comment: I'm going to be away this weekend so I opened a day early. Thank you for the adorable card & all the extras. It was much more like opening a birthday present than a birthday card!! Happy January birthday!!
Comment: WOW! Got your card today. Smeared with black. Luckily with looking closely you can read my name and address. Also big luck, your username was not messed up! The postal service has gone from great to bad. :( thank you sweetie, happy new year
Comment: Thank you for the Christmas card & the postcards, Shirley. I spent a winter in Chicago long ago & the Adler Planetarium was one of my favorite escapes. The outhouse is a hoot, & that building in New Zealand is awesome.
Comment: You must have been in a hurry when you mailed out this swap, there was no swap name or signature on the card. I think the card I got is for this swap. I’m waiting on two other swaps from you so I hope I’m guessing the right one. I sent you a message about this but I guess you didn’t get it. Thank you. Merry Christmas.
Comment: I really like the Christmas penguin card you sent along with the extra goodie tucked inside. Guess what, Shelly Court is literally like 5 blocks away from where I currently live. What a small world!
Comment: Hello Shirley,
Thank you for the lighthouses for the Outer Banks postcard. I love lighthouses and wish I could visit more in my travels. I have seen a few but only in my travels to the East. Where I live ,New Mexico, there are no lighthouses. In fact, the only thing we have to do with water are a few lakes around the state. I live in Albuquerque and there are some lakes within driving distance of the city, However , just no lighthouses!
Comment: I love all the cards you sent. I had to open them all. You included such great extras. LOVE, love, love purple pen and flashlight key chain. I really appreciate everything. It felt like Christmas came early.
Response: I am so happy you liked what I sent. It was fun putting it together. Shirley
Comment: Holiday greetings from Illinois again this year,
Thank you for the neat cat card and extras. I loved what you wrote in the card too:-)
Merry Christmas & Happy Swapping too!🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
Comment: Hi, Shirley, Christopher Radko ornaments are beautiful! I even always envied people who could collect and keep these ornaments safe from year to year! I’m afraid I’m a bit of a klutz and would have some catastrophe and break them all. Such a colorful card and wonderful ornaments. Wishing you a fabulous Christmas!
Comment: Thank you again for the great card and extras. I love seeing the little ones at Christmas. I have 5 great grands from 2 to 7 years old. I get to see all but 1 and her adoptive parents always post lots of pictures so we can see how she is doing.
Comment: Thank you from your postcards and lovely handwritten note you enclosed! Nicholas Sparks is well know here as well! I am not sure about the movies, but maybe I'll find out if I can see any of them here.
Comment: Shirley ...The postcards from North Carolina are beautiful! Love the fancy "bird's-eye" view, light houses and especially the map of North Carolina (my first). The lovely deer postcard is interesting and unique. I'm delighted to add them to my collection. Thanks for a great swap!
Comment: Now I have to find my little Christmas tree. Thanks so much. I can't wait till December. It finally got cold here in Maryland so I'm getting in the mood for Christmas. Happy HOlidays. Love swapping with you.
Comment: Hi, thanks for the postcard! Wow I am surprised PA is so much less colorful than us in the fall. We have all sorts of colors here now. It's a cool PC nevertheless and I think I have been only a few brief times to the state so it's a nice reminder to go back :)
Comment: Shirley, thanks so much for the wonderful Santa card, and for the extra stickers you put in it too! I love getting such colorful and happy mail in my box, instead of just bills and junk mail. I so look forward to checking each day to see what has arrived and to read the notes that the senders have written. Thank you again for brightening my day with this one!
Comment: Thank you for the card. I had a hard time finding large stickers this year and none left from last year. Walmart usually has the Christmas stuff out by now but they were just starting to bring out Christmas mas and the other stores didn’t have much either. I’m glad they’re not putting out Christmas too early.
I won’t be sending out many crochet items this year, I’ve been having a problem using my hands, for a while I couldn’t even write. Been going to the dr but they haven’t found a solution yet. Oh, the joys of aging. Until next time happy swapping.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful PC. I will NEVER forget flying into Massachuttes one year at the height of the fall foliage. When we broke through the clouds, the colors were absolutely indescribably beautiful, and something I hope to see again in my lifetime. Thank you again for sharing such a lovely sight!
Comment: Thanks for the pc's. My fave is the chairs on the beach - definitely an adult dream (with a drink), lol. I'd love to learn to surf, but it might be past my time - damn. I've been to the Grand Canyon - awesome.
Comment: Hello there,
I am so sorry for the late rate. I am just now unpacking . Hubby decided to have some construction done in the house and I had to hurry up and pack it all up. Including all my swaps and didn't get a chance to open them until now. Such a awesome swapper.
Comment: Thank you for the great postcards and in such a pretty envelope! Love the stickers too! Isn't it fun to read a book and know the setting so well?? I love that too!! I enjoyed your note, thanks so much xoxo
Comment: Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful card :) You asked the significance of "Midlothian" -- There's lots of history here, and the site of early railroads and coal mines. The Mid-Lothian coal company is a big part of the history. That's all I know :)
Comment: Thank you for the card!! I have been to New Bern once!! Very nice place. The card has a moose on it too. I love moose. I learned something new as well since I did not know the northern lights were in MN too! Take care. :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the cute PC - I love the rabbit and the moon. I understand about not wanting another animal as they are work and can get underfoot. I love my little pom and would be very lonely without her as I'm sure you've experienced. Thanks again for the great PC and hope to see you again in future swaps.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful lighthouse material and postcard. My friend went to the Outer Banks on vacation a few years ago. She took some beautiful pictures. One day I hope to visit there as well. 💜
Comment: I cried when I opened the package. I wasn't expecting something so wonderful, and considering how my summer has been going this is a wonderful surprise. The beads are BEAUTIFUL! I'll design a necklace around the beads to feature them. The fabric is fantastic and perfect for a scrap quilt. What detergent do you use? It smells lovely! The bookmark made me sigh I love it so much. This is perfect. Thank you so much!
Comment: Thank you for the nice New Bern postcard! I'm fairly certain I drove through your town on a road trip years ago and I recall it being very nice. Thanks for sharing your part of the world with me :)
Comment: Thank you for the Portsmouth Village Methodist Church postcard and for suggesting that I read up on the national park! I found some interesting stuff about the "hoi toider" accent and the Outer Banks in general.
Comment: Thank you for the pretty fabric , I like it very much, I will be making come fabric doll houses for the craft fairs this winter and these small patterns will be great for them. Thank you for swapping ,
Comment: Shirley, thank you so much for the fabulous fabric, they match!! And I LOVE the scarf, it's beautiful! Thank you for the dream catcher too! I am so glad you joined in my swap! Thanks again for everything!!
Comment: We went to Alberta many years ago without a map. We'll have to go back. Thanks for the great card.
And thanks for the CA map. I haven't seen this one.
Also for the Outer Banks card with the Pirates. Fun!
Comment: Thanks for this beautiful PC!!! I love when the ocean is so smooth that it reflects like a mirror! Most of the time, the ocean, in front of my house, is so clear, on calm days, I can see 30 feet down to the bottom. Hugs from Alaska. Sherry
Comment: Shirley thanks for the neat items. My grand daughter Ella has a knack for catching butterflies so the butterfly stickers will be nice for the pages of the scrapbook I'm doing for her. I absolutely love the Elvis card. I did not have this one! It amazes me that I have over 100 Elvis cards and people seem to find ones I don't have. Thanks so much!
Comment: Wish I could give you 10 hearts! The outfit is so cute and I love the matching shoes and sunglasses. Thanks so much for horse fabric and scissors, too. You are so thoughtful and generous. I love swapping with you.
Comment: Oh what a great choice. Thank you for the stunning geographical fun postcard. Oh we have pretty much the same weather here. The summer has a break and the rain took over. Have a great week - the weekend is coming closer and closer. :)
Comment: Love the dress and the necklace and hair clips are super cute. And shoes are always a nice bonus. Also, thanks for the notecards and pen. Oh, and I almost forgot, I always like that you make undies :).
Comment: Wow, I just love the grass skirt and flowers. You went so far beyond the swap. I just love everything. Thanks so much for spoiling me. It will be 90 tomorrow so I'm going to put the outfit on my favorite doll. Thanks so much.
P.S. My husband took the little hula doll and put it in his bathroom. He said the sky light will make it dance all day.
Response: Carol, I had so much fun putting this together once I got the idea of what to do. I like it so much, and I had extras of everything floating around, I made an outfit for my AG doll. Glad your husband liked the hula dancer I threw in. It seems that the husbands are left out when we receive all these wonderful packages. I wonder if he will confiscate the pen once he finds out it is not only a pen but aa flashlight. My husband thinks these are a riot because he can shine it in the tiniest places and see what is there, Take care and I am glad you liked the outfit. Shirley
Comment: Thanks, Shirley, for creative choice of card for the letter N. I would love to spend a vacation in North Carolina--especially in the fall and early winter. I've read so many books set in North or South Carolina, and the lowlands, etc. I like N. Sparks's novels partly because of the setting. Thanks and Happy Swapping!
Comment: Very interesting PC - thanks so much - I really liked it. We've had good weather lately but I know the heat and humidity will be upon us soon - ugh. Thanks again for the interesting PC and stay cool ~~
Comment: Love the cool pc. Haven't been to the Boston Aquarium in years and we go up to Boston for my son's appointments once a month maybe I can get someone to take the kids since I don't do well with crowds or maybe have them play hookie 😉
Comment: Thanks Shirley but you sent me a POT HOLDER (instead of a mandala) and used YOUR favourite colour (purple),which I don't like much and which are VERY different to mine ( orange, red and yellow). It looked like you had just sent me something you already had in your cupboard. In comparison, I followed your colour choice, went to the shops and bought YOUR personal colours to make something for YOU. I understand life can be tricky sometimes but I gave you time to make another one and you said you will but never did.
The swap was extremely clear and simple so I am disappointed. If you can't honour this swap, why are you joining others?
Response: I don't understand. I sent you a red and yellow mandala a few days after your memo. Didn't you get it? Evidently not if you are rating me. As you can see, I have done over 3,000 swaps and have over 5,000 fives. I do send my swaps out to have such a good rating. I am sorry you didn't like the first mandala I made you (it wasn't a pot holder and wasn't something I had hanging around the house). I have already spent over $25.00 in shipping charges which is a lot for me. I think you have already made of your mind that I am a bad swapper. Sent another and have not heard any word from her. There is no more I feel I can do, but hope whoever reads this will understand I did everything in my power to make this swapper happy and she has not responded.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful, calming view of North Carolina's lighthouses, complementing shell postage, smiley face sticker, and inspiring quote; I hope I will be able to see/visit some soon -- I always looked forward to roadtrips with my family as a kid :)
Comment: Great minds must work in the same direction because I sent out the same PC to my partner -- so funny. I have a lot of sand dollars that I collected through the years - they are fascinating and the little ones are such fun to try to make them out. Thanks for the great PC :-)
Comment: love the civil wah and the others also
thanks for sending the civil wah and the others - I am ging to look and see if I would make any of those recipes and the other books chances are good I will make some from them. I like these little books also
heart for you
Response: I am so happy you like the Civil Wah one. They have some cute cookbooks like that here but they are a bit pricey. Enjoy and I hope you can make some of them if not it is good for a laugh. Shirley
Comment: Thank you for the card and extras! Those blue bonnets are pretty! Thank you for re-sending the returned card... hopefully the sorter learned where Fairbanks AK is or got taken off sorting duty :)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely fabric quarters , and the darling buttons to match. I know a sweet little girl turning 6next week, ( neighbor) I think I will make something for her with those cute f.q.s She is like a granddaughter to me. Marcia
Comment: Hello Shirley! Thank you for the postcards and your note. I especially liked the National Park Service cards, they are my kind of nerdy. I would open up those paper dolls, have them photocopied at a good print shop and cut out the copies. 74 strikes me as the perfect age to start playing with your toys!
Response: Thank you. You know I just might do that. My granddaughters are coming in July, that would be a fun thing to do.
Comment: Shirley ~ You chose great PCs for this swap - the Pennsylvania waterfall/autumn one is just gorgeous. Thanks so much. I also enjoy Nora Roberts and Elin Hildebrand - I am such an avid reader and always have been so I have numerous authors that I enjoy. Hope you're doing good and we'll see you again at the mailbox in the future ~~
Comment: Thanks for sending the postcard, definitely my first TN mapcard. Yes, I've been to Blountville, TN and visited the Appalachian Caverns and camped on their grounds. It was very pretty. Thanks again! :)
Comment: Need you worry at all this is the best now I am going to sit down and go thru and place the goodies in my cubed storage units
this is the best ever heart for you and
more if I could
I just found the tiny pipe never have I seen one this is so just so great
Comment: Wow love the card, hate to say it they are changing the way GS is again, sucks they made it like a school curriculum and more changes this year as it was I didn't follow the book and did things like I use to do and now they are even adding the STEM stuff and it's going to be national. So unfortunately I can't keep dealing with the rules changing over and over so going to give it up and see if my daughter can be a Juliet and work with her one on one. Do you realize I have only 4/5 girls which is perfect but I have to have an assistant even when only 2 show up? And can't do it in my home? On top of it the "New" thing is the parents are going to be selecting which troop works for them for days and times like a high school class. Going to go back to 4H lol
Comment: I love this PC -- Arizona is one of my favorite states. So many people think the entire state is hot and dry but there are parts of it that get quite a bit of snow in the winter -- it's a diversified state that's for sure. Thanks for the perfect PC for this swap. Hope you have a great week ~~
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful little church postcard. We have one near us that looks similar to this one. A beautiful little church but to the left of it sitting back a little ways is a tire and lube shop with a KFC chicken place out front and the driveway/parking lot is shared with a firehouse that sits on the right side. It seems to have been there so long that the busyness of life has grown up around it. They still have services there. At least the parishioners don't have far to go if they like KFC for Sunday lunch. LOL!
Comment: What an amazing St. Patrick's Day outfit. It is so beautiful. You went way out to make the dress, slip, hooded cape - and the horse outfit. Thank you so much for being so generous. You are such a skilled sewer. I love swapping with you.
P.S. Hope you are feeling better soon. You are one of our most valued swappers.
Response: thank you for your praise. Have you ever worked with moire? Love that material. Am on the mends after another stupid senior fall. Boy, do I watch how I sit in a chair now. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful card! Such a fun little history to read too. Ironically.. you live in a place famous for pirates, I live in a city famous for mermaids lol. Thank you too for the moving quote :) I love it.
Comment: The awesome lighthouse postcard came in today's mail :) Would be neat to go in one, but really wouldn't want to walk the steps to get to the top haha! We adopted the cats from an animal shelter, so unsure of their lineage, but by the size they have become we are pretty sure they are maine coons. - the big orange one, Romeo weighs 30lbs and Dallas weighs somewhere in his 20 lbs range..haven't weighed him in a bit. Romeo is a character! He has thumbs and knows how to use them for opening door knobs! so have to use deadbolts on the doors haha!
Thank you for the great card :)
Comment: Such a cute horse--thanks, Shirley! Trigger is just a bit before my time, but when I think of a Palomino horse, I think of Little Joe's horse from Bonanza with the different colored patches. Can a Palomino be of a solid color too?
Response: I think Little Joe's horse was a pinto. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks so much for the beautiful note cards (with extras) and personal note. I'm delighted with the cards you chose for me....the themes and colors are perfect for me. You really made this swap very special. Blessings!
Comment: Beautiful Notecards and great PC. I haven't been reading much and want to get caught up on Nicholas Sparks. Our weather is breaking records mid-60's and up to 70+ the last few days..and then back to 30's with chances of snow this weekend (small flurries). It's been a super mild winter for the Chicago area - we aren't far from Woodridge and I worked fairly close to there (Downers Grove). Have a great day. Take care, Annette
Comment: I just returned from a weekend getaway and what was waiting but your lovely package!!! Thank you so much for the bright & colorful package! This weekend, it seemed that the flowers were bursting through the earth all around me, so how appropriate to receive that beautiful floral tote!!!! And the nail files just matched! Thank you so much for all the goodies. I will enjoy them all, maybe the "to do" list most of all!!! Thank you again!
Comment: Well, after trying to find you I did! I wish you had written something in the note card - at least your ID and the swap name so I hadn't had to go digging to find you!
Thank you for the various papers and ephemera.
Response: I am so sorry. I do not know what happened. I am usually very good about writing the swap name and my names especially on cards with a nice note. I am glad you finally found me.
Comment: Thank you for my post card. I have visited North Carolina before but have never been to New Bern. It looks like a beautiful place to live! That was interesting that Pepsi was originally called Brad's Drink. I wish they hadn't changed it, lol.
Comment: You struck a chord with this card. I have seen too many Pacific sunsets to count. One of my life goals is to see the sunrise over the Pacific. A couple years ago I thought we were in the perfect spot in Hawaii. But when the sun began to rise we saw there was still a strip of land on the other side of the bay, so it wasn't a true ocean sunrise to me. I'll just have to try again.
Comment: Hi Shirley - Great PC :-) I haven't read those Nicholas Sparks books yet. I now have time to catch up but, find myself in the craft room more than readying so far. Happy New Year. Take care, Annette
Comment: Just went through the bunch of Christmas mail that arrived during my little winter holiday - sorry for rating so late! Thank you so much for the beautiful Christmas card & the little extra! Happy 2017 :)
Comment: Thank you. Very nice card and what a great postcard. I also like your return address label with the elf on it. I've been saving all the elf stickers people put on the the envelopes and this one is going in my address book! ðŸ˜
Comment: Thanks for the great PCs. . . I especially like the pioneer buildings of New Zealand and the Pismo Beach, CA one - such a neat area. Thanks again for the great PCs and hope you had a great New Years ~~
Response: Thank you! I am so glad you liked what I picked for you. Thank you for the heart. Happy New Year! Shirley
