Comment: I'm sorry you're so sick! I hope you feel better soon!
Response: Thanks so much, Colleen. Thankfully I'm feeling much better now. I finished the last of my 10 days of antibiotics yesterday and for the most part, I'm feeling pretty much back to normal. Thank God! Thanks so much for the rating and the heart. Have an awesome day! 🌹🌹🌹
Comment: Wow! Great that you got anything done with all that trauma! Big hugs to you and hope you are recovered soon. And, CONGRATS on the no smoking. Hope that continues.
Response: Thanks so much, Kim. I'm feeling way better now - finished my last antibiotics this morning. As for the not smoking, well - that didn't last much longer than the 7 days, I'm sad to say. Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: I have so many files and emails to delete that I dread even thinking about going through them. You were productive! Thank you for sharing. :]
Response: Thanks so much, Kris! Yeah, I have so many files/emails as well and the only way I can handle them is making myself do only a certain number at a time (or I probably would never get rid of any. lol) Thanks for the heart and the rating, Have a great day!
Comment: Thanks so very much for your email about your day! The train sounds like a great experience, I'd love to buy some postcards on that! We just had an election too, it's no fun voting when it's hard to decide preferences! You are so lucky to have your friend take you places!
Have a great day! Greetings from Australia
Lisa 🇦🇺 😀
Response: Thank you so much for your quick review, I really appreciate it. Have an awesome day, Lisa! 🌹🌹🌹
Comment: Don't be too hard on yourself for not getting much done. I wasn't very successful either. Everything you got done is a step forward from when you started. I hope you're feeling better soon and that the Dr. finds out what's wrong. Hugs to you!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words. I did go to the Dr. yesterday and have an order for a test so hopefully they'll figure out what's going on. Have a great rest of your week and thank you for the rating and the heart. (Hugs)
Comment: Thank you for the wide variety of recommendations! I really enjoyed DaisyYellowArt :)
Response: You're so welcome! Yes, DaisyYellowArt is my favorite - also she has a website named that and every June and July she has a thing called ICAD (which stands for Index Card A Day) and it's a really fun thing to do! Thanks for the rating and for the heart! 😀
Comment: Thanks for the recommendations, I look forward to checking them out!
Response: Hi! Thanks so much for the heart and for the quick rating (both are very much appreciated!) I hope that the links I sent are something that interests you. Have a wonderful rest of your week. 🌹 🌹 🌹
Comment: Thank you for sharing your random facts w/ me <3 I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if you could find a way to track where all your crosses have traveled to?? That would be so neat!
Response: Thank you so much for the heart and the quick rating, I appreciate both of them so much. And YES, that would be so cool if there would be a way to track where all of the crosses go to ... I'd love that! Have a great week. 🌹🌹🌹
Comment: Congratulations on your upcoming great-grandchildren! Sorry to hear your kitty had fleas, I hope she's feeling better now
Response: Thank you so much for the congrats and for the quick rating as well! Kyla (my cat) is doing better now but does now seem to have a bit of dry skin due to having had to wash her a few times with Dawn to help kill the fleas when she had them. Have a great day! 🌹🌹
Comment: Laundry is just THE WORST! lts pretty much the simplest thing I always have to do and its 100% my least favorite chore. Thank you for sharing your accomplishments!
Response: I hear ya, sista ... I really hear ya. I don't have a washer and dryer in my apartment but only have to push a cart down the hall (NOT far at all) and there our laundromat is ... and yet, it takes me the longest time to get there. Oh no, it's not the short walk to get there that holds me up and it's not pushing the cart with laundry. I walk by this same laundromat every time I go out the back door of our building which is at least 4 to 6 times a day and yet is my laundry done yet? Um, the answer would be NO! 😂🤣😂
It's not hard, all we have to do is to put the clothes in the washer and to put our laundry card in the slot. There may be hope for me yet but I'm not so sure ... yes, I agree with you, laundry is THE WORST. lol I just want to know WHY because like you said, it is the simplest thing we have to do! Thanks so much for the 5, the heart and the comment. Have an awesome day! 🌹🌹🌹
Comment: Haven't you done well this time! Virtually everything done! I bet you're feeling pleased and that the house is shiny and clean!
Response: Thank God for the swaps is what I can say! lol (Of course, I'm sure I would have gotten this list done regardless, the swaps really do help me!) House is clean - today my friend, Christine and I are going shopping! 😂 Thanks so much for the great rating!
Comment: I love your letter so much. Such sweet and funny memories 💓. Thank you for sharing with me and communicating so well when you needed a bit more time. I hope we can swap again- Happy Mailing
Response: Awe Ramya, I am so happy that you liked my letter ... it's just after 6:00 a.m. as I write this and I just wanted to say that your comments have just totally made my day. Thank you so much! I hope that we can swap again in the future as well. Have a wonderful weekend! 🌹 🌹 🌹
Comment: Hi Debi - thanks for the newsy letter and telling me about where you live. It sounds so peaceful! My town is part of Richmond, but I also like Roanoke and the area out where you used to live. So nice visiting with you!
Response: Hi Ilyse, I'm so happy that you got my letter and that you liked it. Also, thank you so much for the 5 and the heart as well.
Have an awesome day! 💕💕
Comment: Thank you so much for your mail! The Day John Died (and Diana too) sounds very interesting! I also love learning more about JFK, and yes, I think so, he's a very good-looking guy! ;) Maybe I should look for this book and read it. I have other books about the Kennedys, for some reasons I haven't read that one yet :/
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. If you were to get the book "The Day John Died", I'm sure that you'll enjoy it. Have a wonderful day! 🌹🌹🌹
Comment: I know it feels like you didn't get much done, but It looked like a lot of things crossed off to me! I hope you're feeling better!
Response: Thanks so much ... I guess I was just disappointed that I wasn't able to get more done than I did. I am feeling some better but not 100% yet. Have a good weekend! (Thanks so much for the heart!) 💕💕💕
Comment: You’re very detailed on your list! I feel like you accomplished quite a bit even if you don’t think you did.
Response: Yeah, I think I've always been detail oriented for some reason. lol Awe, thank you - I feel better knowing you think I got quite a bit done (I've been kicking myself in the butt for not getting more done. 😂
Have an awesome day and thanks so much for joining my swap! 🌹 🌹 🌹
Comment: I may have journaled every day since 2008, but some of those entries were literally one word just to keep the habit going. :) Thanks for the postcard!
Response: Thank you so much for the heart! Hey, even if one word while journaling - that is an awesome idea to keep the habit going. I start full force when doing things like that but then miss a day and the next thing you know, I'm way too the track and never get back to doing it. Thanks for the tip! 💕 💕 💕
Comment: Hi Deb, I think you've done really well this month! You managed to do a substantial number of the things on your list, and you've got ideas about how to accomplish some of the other things. I'm really enjoying these swaps. Like you, having the list and having to tell someone else what I have or haven't done is a great incentive to get things done, especially those pesky jobs that I don't really want to do! Did you find it helpful this time sorting the list into categories? With a long list, I get totally confused if I don't have some subheadings!
Response: Thank you so much for your comments, like you - I feel I get much more done than I normally would have with the swaps when I have to tell others what I did or didn't get done. And absolutely YES, listing my to do's by categories has helped immensely and I thank you for the very helpful tip on this! Have a good weekend. 💕 💕
Comment: Thank you for the pretty card! Weather here has been crazy too keeps going up and down!
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. 😀 As for our weather, it was in the 50's yesterday, today is heavy rain and tonight, back to snow and possible ice. I want Spring ... NOW! 😂🤣😂
Have an awesome week!
Comment: Omg...I couldn't believe how many favorite songs we have in common!! Sugar, Sugar and I Think I Love You were my absolute favorites as a teen!! Because You Loved Me, The Dance, Bridge Over Troubled Waters...all classics!! Thank you!
Response: You're welcome. And, thank YOU for hostessing the swap ... it was a fun one! Also, thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. Have an awesome rest of your week! 💕
Comment: Fantastic list! I was a DJ in the 70's so every one of these is a fave of mine. Thanks Debi!
Response: I'm glad you liked them all. I was afraid that all my partners would be like, REALLY young and have never heard of any of the songs I chose. 😂 Have an awesome day, Ilyse! Thanks for the great rating too. 🌹🌹🌹
Comment: i loved the cross!! im going to run a string through it and hang it from my shelf in living room so i can see it. im trying to find a way to put the ucards in my bullet journal. thank you so much!!! hugs
ps sorry for the late rating. getting over covid. so tired and weak last week.
Response: Amanda, I hope you get feeling better soon. (Hugs) I'm so happy that you love the cross! Thanks so much for the rating.
Comment: I thought your list was pretty ambitious. I'm glad you got as much done as you did.
Response: Thanks so much for the quick rating! Yes, I think my list this time was totally "overly" ambitious. lol
Have an awesome weekend (I hope you're somewhere that you'll miss the snow storms. We're to get them from Sunday night into Monday.) I live in NW Pennsylvania.
Comment: Greetings! It sounds like you accomplished a good portion of your list. Great work making progress. I'm sorry to hear about your water spill. That must have been so frustrating. 😲
Response: I don't think my next list will be as long as this one was (but then too, sometimes when I get started with a list, I don't know when to stop and then regret it later. 😂)
Ugh, yes - the water spill was majorly frustrating (the carpet is still wet from it!) It just happened yesterday so it should be dry in a day or so (I hope!) Have an awesome day and thanks for the prompt rating and the heart. 🌹🌹🌹
Comment: Thanks for sharing! The butterscotch latte sounds so yummy! I couldn't sleep with the tv on, and I've always been lucky with cats, other people's, they only wake me up if they fall asleep on my head and I can't breathe, LOL.
Response: Colleen, thanks so much for the 5 and the heart, I really appreciate it and your rating so fast. Have a good day! 🌹🌹🌹
Comment: Hi Debi! Super cute postcard you sent! Glad to hear you are keeping cozy in the cold! It snowed here a few days ago but the weather here in Nashville is so bipolar we got a rainstorm two days later and it all melted away :(
Response: Thanks so much for the rating. I'm so happy that you liked the postcard ... Have an awesome day! 🌹🌹
Comment: The picture of Lexi is precious! What a beautiful cat! Your picture of the rotary dial phone and memory about party lines reminded me of growing up. My sister and I would listen on the line that my grandma shared with another household (a no-no). I remember the other household saying, "Is someone else on the line?" and we - as children - would do some heavy breathing, laugh, and then hang up the phone. But, I digress. Thank you for sharing such fun photos in this swap!
Response: Awe, I'm so happy that you liked the pics that I chose. I love this swap too! You weren't the only one listening in on others calls (though I can't say I ever made a sound when I was listening in. The others on our party line lived in our neighborhood and had I said anything, I sure would've been in trouble if my mom had found out. 😂 Have an awesome day!
Comment: I really love the kitty pic! What a sweet girl. And the fruit cocktail tree is so cool! I want to grow one!
Response: I'm so glad that you like the things that I shared. Thank you so much for the great rating and for letting me know that you loved Kyla's picture (she's my baby - honestly, I don't think she realizes that she is a cat. Ha! Ha!) Have an awesome New Year! 😀
Comment: TYSVM for doing this swap with me!!!! I enjoyed reading your answers. It is fun getting to know you. Thank you again!!
Response: Shana, I was more than happy to do the swap with you and am happy as well that you liked reading my answers (as you can tell, sometimes I tend to talk A LOT. Ha! Ha!) Have an awesome day! (P.S. Thanks so much for the great rating you left me!)
Comment: Hi Debi! Thank you for the great pcs! OMG Michael Jackson, that is awesome. I dressed as him for Halloween when I was a little kid. I had the red jacket and glove, lol. Love the vintage extras too. Thank you 😊
Response: You are welcome! I'm so happy that you liked what I sent. Have an awesome day! 😊
Comment: Thank you for sharing. I love reading about you & your life. We have somethings in common. I love, love Garth Brooks & The Dance is one of my favorites. I have visited Israel and went to Savannah, GA with my Granddaughter after her High School Graduation in 2012. I moved to GA in 2015 after retiring just in time for her College Graduation. And I am a dust collector also....LOL!
Response: Awe, thank you so much! I'm so happy that I didn't bore you half to tears. lol Have a good day! 😊
Response: Thanks so much for the great rating and I'm so happy that you liked the letter I sent. While reading my letter, I'm sure you figured out that I tend to be a bit gabby (okay - A LOT gabby! 😂) and I always, always give lots of details. lol Have a nice day, Kara!
Comment: Thanks for the sap and the elaboration on your answers.
My dream vacation is six weeks in Australia, New Zealand and Auckland and that is the first thing I am going to buy when I win the lottery.
I love learning too but hated school.
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart, Neal - I appreciate it! I hope you'll win the lottery soon so you can take your dream vacation ... that'd be totally awesome!!
Comment: Thank you for hosting this swap that got me moving! It sounds to me like you were successful in accomplishing a lot! Your index cards make me think of the ICAD challenge (that I'm not so great at keeping up with!) It's wonderful how you share them! Keep up the good work. :)
Comment: Thanks for the email, Debi! I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the series and that you managed to find them at the library. I love to buy books, but I get most of the from the library, because they're very expensive in Australia.
I'm interested in the Civil War period, so I might have to check these out.!
Response: Hi Raynor, thanks so much for the awesome rating. I hope you'll be able to find this series in your library, they really are worth reading! Have a good day. 😊
Comment: I would love to go back for a visit, but be able to take my cell phone and take pictures and videos of my parents, grandparents, and the people and things I miss most! Three of my childhood friends have now passed away. One from cancer, and two from causes unknown. So young!
Response: Absolutely yes about going back for a visit and being able to take pictures and videos, wouldn't that be so awesome?! I too have lost numerous childhood friends ... so, so sad. Thanks for the great rating! 😊
Comment: Thanks for the nice postcard. Our weather is probably similar to yours - starting to get hot.
Response: So happy that you got and liked the card but I'm trying to figure out just how you got it so quick. lol Seems like I just sent it only a couple of days ago! It was 90 here today but thankfully there was a breeze enough that it wasn't unbearable. 😊
Comment: I loved your email!!!!!! And yes I know who forrests mom is and who is shelbys mom and Smokey and the bandit. And “you really like me you really do. “ speech. Lol. Thanks so much and thankful for small worlds. Take care
Response: Have a good day, Mindy ... I'm hoping we can do some more e-mail private swaps - it was fun! 😊 Oh and thanks so much for rating me so quickly!
Comment: I love a lot of the songs on your list!! I’m only 26 but I consider myself a music lover so I listen to most anything and had already heard of many of these great songs! ❤️
Response: Awe, I love that you knew and love a lot of the songs on my list. That is awesome! To this day, they are still among my favorites and of course, remind me of my growing up years. So many good memories! Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. (Hugs)
Comment: Yes! Calligraphy just takes practice, right? I'll just add it to the list of things I want to do 😆. I have copperplate books too, you know, for someday. Thank you for hosting!
Oh, I LOVE this AUDREY HEPBURN pc!!!
Response: I am SO HAPPY that you love the PC! 😀 And that is awesome that you put Calligraphy on your list too. I had to laugh - I know exactly what you mean when you said - you know, for someday. Me too! 😂🤣😂
Comment: Debi thank you for all the wonderful wonderful quotes!!! A few of them I've never crossed paths with. I love the one about never looking in the eyes of someone God does not love. The 4th one, about people forgetting what you say and do but never forgetting the way you made them feel, is one of my all time favorite quotes. I even have it on my swap cards! Amitra and Amrita are both of Sanskrit origin from India. Amitra means "enemy of the universe." Amrita means "immortality." (So far so good!) Thanks for a grate swap! Be well & happy swapping. Oh, your handwriting is beautiful too by the way!
Response: Awe, thank you so much for the 5 and the heart and thank you even more for your kind comments. You've made my whole day! (Hugs)
Comment: seems like our droids will both be doing the laundry LOL thank you
Response: Thank you so much for the great rating. I wonder how many other droids will be doing laundry as well? Ha! Ha! Can you imagine a day that would happen and what our grandmothers and great-grandmothers would have thought?! 😂
Comment: Thanks for the great note. Love you penmanship. Too many people don't know cursive or even how to read it!! Special thanks for the cross.
Response: Hi! Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. 😀 Also I'm glad you were able to read my writing (believe it or not, people tell me frequently that they like it but as for me, I feel I still have a lot of work to do on it. lol) You're so welcome for the cross ... I'm glad that you like it! I know what you mean about cursive writing, it really upset me when I found that the schools aren't teaching it anymore. That's insane if you ask me! Have an awesome week.
Comment: Debi - I got your letter today and absolutely loved it. It was a really wonderful peek at your day(s) and as I was reading, I marveled at how vastly different we and our lives are, yet how much we shared in common too. I hope that your cousin's husband is continuing to recover; that you have started on the next book; and that InCoWriMo is going well for you. Also, I participated in a few Simple Woman's Day swaps a few years back. : ) Thank you so much for a really thoughtful swap. xoxo
Response: Awe, thank you so much - I'm glad you liked the letter (as you can tell, I tend to be LONG-WINDED. 😂 🤣)
Bill (my cousin's husband "is" continuing to get better and too, I did read the next book and loved it! Thanks so much for the great rating and too, for the compliments. Have an awesome weekend!
Comment: Informed delivery shows should have rcvd but with usps Being so wonky lately it hasn’t physically arrived I know how important ratings are so here it is 😊❤️
Today is February 4th n the pc physically arrived!!!!’ Our normal mail carrier has been out fir awhile and has returned which I believe the rest of my mail will start returning as well. The other one that subs is bit as friendly or what I feel cares as much as he does. Mr Ron as my son and I affectionately call him is awesome and genuinely loves his job. ❤️ btw the pc is gorgeous
Response: Mindy, I'm so glad that you got it and too, that you liked it!
Comment: Thank you SOOO much for taking the time to write a long chatty letter. It arrived earlier today when I was totally worn out with an internet project -- taking time to read it was just the break I needed. Good luck on all your projects. Be healthy and happy.
Response: You're welcome June, I'm glad that it was just what you needed at the time it got there! When answering 18 questions and well - you know how much I gab, there was no way that it wouldn't have ended up being a LONG one. lol (Hugs)
Comment: Thanks for the swap.
Sorry for the delay in rating. I don't know if I should contact my email provider for a third time or just get used to checking my junk mail folder a couple times a week.
I had a chuckle at your drinking Folgers. I have a jar of it in the freezer for emergencies. An emergency being my coffee maker or grinder breaking down. I keep it in the freezer because it will keep there better than in my cupboard. It has been in there for more than five years.
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 (and the heart too!) Merry Christmas (even though it won't be like it usually is.) Take care and stay safe, my friend.
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. The only thing is - I had numbers cut out to put the #14 on your PC and totally forgot to do it before I put it in the box. (The intent really was there though! 😀)
Comment: Hi Debi. My postcard arrived today! Thank you so much for the vintage inspired PC. Were you able to meet of your goals? I met most of mine but am giving myself a do-over. haha
Response: I'm so happy that you finally got it. What is really strange is the person I received from sent hers 3 days after mine and I just received hers the day before yesterday! lol I met some of my goals but then too, some had changed too so I guess I need a do-over as well. 😂 😂
Sometime in January (I hope!) I hope to start these swaps up again. Have an awesome day!
Response: Thanks so much for the rating. Yep, some I did but also I had a big change for plans for the week and along with the plans change, so changed a lot of my weekly list. lol All in all it was a good week!
Comment: Thank you for the great email! I really enjoy getting to know more about you and your interests. I hope your postcard project is going well - it's so inspiring that you think about other people so much. I am certain that everyone who gets one will truly appreciate it! I'm looking forward to doing this again but only when you have the time! I hope you're doing well! Thinking about you often, Dana
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. I love our email swaps as well and hopefully soon will be able to get started on answering your last email. (Hugs)
Comment: That's so cool that you get a special postmark from the train!! Love the card & the facts; thanks so much. Have a great evening!
Response: Hi! I'm so happy that you liked the card and a few fun facts as well. Yes and I don't remember if I told you or not but believe it or not, though I've meant to get some mail postmarked from on the train, I haven't as of yet. And this year of course, with the COVID, it wasn't running. Maybe next year though! Have a great rest of your week. 😀
Comment: I really enjoyed reading your letter. It was like chatting with a friend. 😊
Response: Awe, I'm so happy that you enjoyed reading it. Believe it or not, I have had a lot of people tell me the same thing (that my letters were like chatting with a friend!) I take that as an absolute compliment. Thank you so much! (Hugs) Have an awesome rest of your week! 😀
Comment: As usual you rocked this challenge Debi! One of the things you said brought back memories for me- of my Nana cutting and cutting and cutting in order to make quilts. Sometimes I would be drafted in to help and I remember thinking "How many more of these pieces can it possibly need?" lol. Take Care :)
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. You know what - we must think a like because I thought the same thing when cutting the coasters out. lol The cutting is my least favorite part of it. I bet those are good memories for you though, huh?! (Well - I mean about your Nana, not necessarily the cutting part. 😂) Have a good weekend, my friend.
Comment: Thanks for hosting this, and I'm very glad to see the series will continue! :) Your goals are surprisingly similar to my goals this week, altho I refuse to deep clean the microwave! Laughs, a good project for the partner. Anyway, I wish you luck completing your tasks... especially the photo one. (yep, I'm going thru photos as well!) :)
Response: Hi! You're so welcome and I love this swap because it really has been helping me to stay on track. I did get my pictures done and the microwave but the other 3, "hopefully" they'll get done. lol
Comment: Sorry for the late rating . I have been unwell with bronchitis. Thanks for sharing the books/series that you read. I am going to see if they are available here in our libraries. Happy reading.
Response: Hi Karen, I hope that you're feeling 100% by now. Thanks so much for the rating. Have a nice week! 😀
Comment: Your great-granddaughter is beautiful. That little doll kind of looks like her a little bit. But yeah, that's pricey, although I'm sure a lot of work went into restoring her. I'd love to see that island in person one day as well. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
Response: Hi! Awe thanks, yes - I too think Madilynn is beautiful but then too, I may be a bit biased. lol) Thanks so much too for the 5 and the heart. Hope your week is a good one! 😀
Comment: Thank you, the postcard is one that I had in a set that I had recently sent out, so I am happy to see it come back full circle. Isnt it funny how that happens! I love the image on this card and also your information about your hometown. Sad to hear about the town, but it sounds like an area steeped in history. Hopefully something will happen to revive the area. Where we are half the year is minimal people and in the summer it is tourist season so it swells with people then winter comes and massive unemployment etc. I couldn't imagine it all year round, but we learn to deal with what we are used to. People are so easily adaptable aren't they? Well thanks again
Response: Nicole, thanks so much for the rating and the heart. Also I really enjoyed reading your comment as well! Have an awesome weekend!
Comment: Madilynn is gorgeous! That outfit really shows her personality :) And waterfront scenes always calm me down - even when the water is choppy. And the doll you found on Etsy has the most interesting eyes! Thanks for the great pix!
Response: Awe, thanks so much - I'm glad that you liked them all. Have a nice weekend! 😀
Comment: Thank you very much!! My weekend was a very emotional one!!! I did enjoy visiting with some old friends that I haven't seen for quite a while!! Thank you again!!!
Response: Awe, it's always great to be able to visit with old friends, especially those you haven't seen in forever and a day. I'm sure you really enjoyed yourself and am happy for you. Thanks for the great rating you left for me. Have a good week! 😀
Comment: I live a few short blocks from the coast of NJ. I love the ocean. Almost every vacation I’ve taken has been to somewhere near the ocean. I’d live in it if I could so I totally get how you just want to be around it. I really enjoyed reading your answers. Thanks for sharing!
Response: Thank you so much for the 5 and the heart - I'm so happy that you enjoyed my answers (as you can see, I am NOT a person of FEW words. Ha! Ha!) Have an awesome day! 😀
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter! I have not decoded your letter yet, but just wanted to let you know I received your letter! Thank you for the recipe cards as well :)
Response: I'm so happy to know that you got it and I appreciate your prompt rating more than I can begin to tell you (in fact, if I could give YOU a heart - I would just for the quick rating!) 😀 I hope you enjoy the letter!
Comment: Thanks for the welcome and the beautiful card! I've never been to Nova Scotia (or Pennsylvania) but one of these days...
Response: I'm so glad that you liked the card - it was the prettiest scenic one that I could find. I do hope that one day you'll get to Canada and to Pennsylvania (both are beautiful - especially in the fall time when leaves are changing!) Thanks for the great rating - I appreciate it. Have a great day!
Comment: Great carx! Its slowly cooling off here. Im not ready for winter either!
Response: You are so welcome! I think you got me mixed up with another swapper as I don't have a husband now and no picnic plans either. lol (That's okay though, sometimes when we get busy - things can get a little mixed up. lol) Have a fantastic rest of your weekend! 😀
Comment: thank you for the great list. some songs on it i like, others i need to check out
Response: Thanks so much for the awesome rating. I swear I could do one of these lists a half dozen times a year and come out with a good many other songs that I'd forgotten about over the years (until I heard them again, of course!) Thanks for joining the swap!
Comment: I think your picnic table has lots of character and it looks like a lovely place to sit. I too see many deer in my yard but it's more of a forest haha I still always see it as a blessing when they visit us humans 😉
Response: Thanks so much for the rating! I'm glad you liked my little area where I sit at. That's so cool that you get to see deer often in your yard as well and yes, it is a total blessing! Have a wonderful weekend!
Comment: Thanks for the quick send. I'm often surprised how many series there are. Oprhan train seems a perfect subject for a series.(I know 2 people now living in US, who were sent out of London on orphan trains)
Response: June, thanks so much for the rating! Wow, I learned something I did not know - no idea why but I thought that the orphan trains was just a US thing ... I was surprised to read that it was international as well. (Thanks for the info, I found it to be interesting!)
Comment: Thank you for sharing your monthly read. I had to google about Orphan trains. It sounds very intresting. Happy September reading.:)
Response: Hi - Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. When I started reading books about orphan trains, I had never heard of them before but then found out that at one time, they were a real thing. You have a great September reading as well. 😀
Comment: Hi Debi, the Orphan Train series has been very popular at the library where I used to work. I'm glad you are enjoying them. Happy reading :)
Response: Thanks for the 5 and heart, Tracey - I appreciate both! Yes, I totally love this series - the only thing wrong with them that I could find is that there are only 6 books in the set. lol Have a nice weekend!
Comment: Hi, Debi! I always rate immediately! Your photos were so much fun to see! Lovely area. I love wildlife, too, & especially enjoy the birds in my backyard. Have a great day!
Response: Thank you so much, not just for the great rating and the heart but also for the prompt rating, I really appreciate it! You have a good day as well. 😀 By looking out my window as I type this, it looks like mine (or at least part of it) is gonna be a wet one but it's all good as we need the rain!
Comment: Hi Debi, what a great write up thank you for sharing. I would love to walk along the trail near your apartment. We are geocachers and it wouldn't surprise me if there are geocachers down the trail. If your not sure what I'm talking about Google it. In America it is a big thing and some amazing cachers.
Response: Thank you so much, I'm glad that you enjoyed reading it! I have heard of geocaching but have never done it before. The trail behind our building isn't a real long one (for a reference, it's about 2 city blocks long), BUT - at the end of it, you walk across a bridge and pick it up again not far once you cross the bridge). Have a nice day and thank you so much for the rating!
Comment: Thanks for the fun tour of your outside area. I love that you can see deer and other animals right there. Heck, my street is called Deer Meadow and I never see any deer here LOL! ❤️
Response: Hi! I'm so glad that you liked my little (okay - my LOOOONG) tour. lol I swear only "me" would have something to talk about as in this swap and make the e-mail THAT long. Ha! Ha!
Oh man, I love your street name! You are probably not gonna believe this but my apartment doesn't face the back yard but instead, faces the street and honestly, I see deer out front in the yard and on the sidewalk quite often (mostly between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m.). For being actually in the city limits and so close to downtown, it's amazing for sure! Thank you for the great rating and - have an awesome day!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful words of scripture. I especially love the Philippians, the Galatians, of course all the Psalms.... I love it all! And I needed some cute new recipe cards to send out, so thank you for the extras. Blessings to you and your family
Response: Awe, thanks so much - I'm so happy that the verses that I chose, spoke to you .. that's AWESOME! 😀 You are so welcome and I'm glad that you can use the recipe cards as well. Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for joining my swap!
Comment: Wow... I survived haha your email was great, lots of detail, sometimes I can't elaborate like that 😂 Hopefully you had a nice trip with Christine and got yourself a new computer program?! Sleep well and best wishes x
Response: Thank you so much for the awesome rating, I really appreciate it and I'm glad that you liked my e-mail. Christine and I did have a good time shopping and also no to the USB external DVD/CD drive (they were out of stock that day. Darn it!) lol Have a good day and thank you again! 😀
Comment: I am reading your email. Have reached end of Wednesday and totally loving it! I can relate to it so much! All the organising, To Dos, planner stuff, procrastination, issues, etc. If you ever want to exchange emails like electronic penpals may be.. let me know. I am lazy and busy so would not even mind sharing voice memos in emails. Thank you for this swap! Hope you get things done :)
Response: Thanks so much for the awesome rating! I love that you can relate so much to what I wrote (it makes me not feel like I'm the only person who has a problem getting organized! lol)
I started working on this coming weeks list, the day I sent my swap to you and my other partners and kind of feel that since I didn't wait till Monday to start, that I'm a bit ahead of the game so to speak. I will definitely remember to keep you in mind for email swaps, things like that, having a list and being accountable to someone, does help me to get things done!
Comment: Thank you for the email! What a cute girl she is :) I have been low key thinking about getting a cat, but my apartment is not that big and there is already quite lot of outdoor cats in the area so I think I will have to wait for that.
Have a nice day!
Response: Ninna, thank you so much for the great rating. And thanks so much for saying how cute Kyla is (she's a special girl, for sure!) Have an awesome day! (Hugs)
Comment: Always a joy to receive your responses. Thank you, it was fantastic to read!
With our once a day exercise - they relied on people just doing as they said. Around me no one stuck to the lockdown anyway (it's not a great neighbourhood) and I went out more than once a few times myself. As a general rule, for me personally, I did a walk in the morning then incorporated another walk into going to get some food or something like that.
I hope the cases in your town are going down/stopped again. Nottingham hasn't had a new case for nearly 2 weeks now, but Leicester (the next town over) is back on full lockdown so they're panicking that people in Leicester are just going to come over to Nottingham as our pubs and cinemas are re-opening today.
You're really strong-willed - I wouldn't be able to have a new Fitbit or laptop and not open them for a month! I was bad enough at Christmas when I knew I was getting a Fitbit as a present and knew it was at my mum's waiting for christmas day, lol.
Yes, we have sayings etc your "hit the bed and was out like a light" - I'd probably say "hit the sack" rather than bed, but out like a light is the same.
I really hope you find a good doctor and get the surgery soon. Fingers crossed. I was like that with an operation for my eyes - I kept putting it off because I didn't like the idea of having the operation done, but at some point it got too much to deal with and it clicked for me and I just went for it. It wasn't so bad :-). Hopefully yours won't be too, Think of the benefits after the pain.
How's your daughter. Did she get tested? I really hope she's ok.
No, our swimming pools aren't reopen yet - I'm going insane! Open water swimming is open, but I've not done it before and haven't got a wet suit so haven't been.
I loved reading your swap - and even more so that you made it a nice even 5,000 words :-). That's perfect!
Take great care of yourself and keep smiling. Thank you for doing this swap with me.
Response: Awe Mickie, thanks so much for the awesome rating and I'm so happy you liked the swap. Yes, my daughter was tested and is now waiting for the results. Hey, when I was "that" close to 5,000 words, I couldn't pass that one up. LOL Message me anytime, my friend!
Comment: Omg, this Bob Marley postcard is amazing, thank you!
Response: Oh, I am so happy that you liked the card. Sometimes one isn't sure whether their partner will like the one they chose to send. It made my day to read that you really liked this card. Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
Comment: Loved reading more bout ya. Thanks for hosting. Ky sounds wonderful. Carmella is my cat she desperately wants to go outside she suffers anxiety and has pulled all her fur out. We can’t let her out because of our nosy neighbor who thinks she is being abused. Sigh. Have good day and thanks
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart, Mindy ... I'm so glad that you liked the letter. Awe, that's sad that Carmella wants to go out but can't. I love taking Ky out but as she gets older, she doesn't like going out like she used to. : ( Have a great weekend! (Hugs)
Comment: Thank you so much for my verses.. I feel so bad that my handwriting is so large and sent you too many pages. But I loved writing each on of them down! Very lovely calming swap.
Thank you again for mine :)
Response: You're so welcome and please don't feel bad that your writing was large or more pages. The only time I have a problem with huge writing is when I have a letter swap with a page requirement and have had people write huge just to fill the pages up without saying much of anything at all. (Too true!) Anyways, yes - I also love this swap and if you'd like to do another one as a private swap, just let me know! : )
Comment: Thanks Debi for hosting these Bible swaps. Like them very much. God bless.
Response: I'm going to soon post a longer one than the last two have been and will message everyone who's been in the past two, to see if they'd like to join. Thanks so much for the rating you left. Have a wonderful day, Karen!
Comment: Hi I did enjoy reading all about Kyla I feel I really know your cat at well as you do. I love the photos she looks sooo michevious.
Response: Kathleen, thank you so much for the 5 and the heart. I'm glad you liked reading about Ky (she's definitely one of a kind! lol) and also happy that you love the photos as well. As for mischievous ... you got that right but I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world!
Comment: Kyla definitely picked you, cats always do! And she does look like a tuxedo, just a different color.
Response: Thanks so much for the rating, Candace! As for Kyla, I'll never find another one like her, that's for sure. Here it is, 7:00 and I'm awake (have been since just after 6:00 when she started bugging me. lol) Have an awesome day!
Comment: Thank you for the nice letter. Been thinking of getting a couple of kittens, but the local animal shelter isn't open for adoptions right now. My daughter and granddaughter fostered cats last summer and it was so hard for me not to adopt them all. By the way . . . your envelope was very nicely decorated. Thank you for the recipe cards too. Just he right size and I like the lined ones best. Thank you again and stay safe.
Response: Thank you so much for the rating and also I am so happy that you liked the letter and the recipe cards. Have a good day and I hope you and your family will stay safe as well. (Hugs)
Comment: Thank you for the e-mail, I must admit this is the longest I have ever received! It's nice to read your story, I can relate on some points too! (P.S. I exercise semi-intensely for 15-20 min a day to eat pizza or pringles during the day.... cheating only once a week though!) Stay healthy and safe!
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and for the heart. Yeah, as you can see - I am quite the talker. ha! ha! I am the same way with writing letters as well. Have an awesome day and you stay safe as well.
Comment: Thanks, Debi. All your snow is amazing in April! I'll drop you a letter to answer some of your questions.
Response: The last snow we had actually was last night and I had no idea we were to get it but I looked out the window and it was coming down hard. Thankfully today we've had none as of yet. lol I'll look forward to your letter! Have a good day, June. : )
Comment: Thank you Debi for the song/video. My friend and I sang that song New Year's Day as our way of welcoming 2020. We surely need to raise our praise in the middle of the storm. Blessings to you, and thanks for participating in the swap. <3
Response: It is an absolutely awesome song, isn't it?! Thanks so much for the rating and also, thank you for hosting this swap!
Comment: As always Debi, it was a pleasure to receive a swap from you! I love your handwriting it is so easy to read and VERY pretty! Hugs!!!
Response: Jaimie, thank you so much! Believe it or not, I have a love/hate relationship with my handwriting because to me, it never seems good enough to suit me. I hope soon to start a calligraphy course and maybe then I'll be more pleased with it. I so appreciate your comments though, more than I can tell ya. (Hugs) Stay safe, my friend!
Comment: You’re right first responders are hero’s. Along with all the other jobs out there people might think are menial. Where would we be without them❤️
Response: Yes, I totally agree about the other jobs as well. Grocery store clerks, truck drivers, fast food workers ... so many every day people who work jobs that help to keep this country running. Thank God for them too!
Comment: SOS for chocolate, love it! First responders are a blessing!
Response: Thanks so much for the rating ... oh yeah, and the chocolate? It is a must when quarantined (well, sheltering in place) but I also found hot sauce is also a must for me as well. LOL
Have a good day and Stay Safe!
Comment: Thank you for your Psalm 1 swap email. I enjoy these little studies - keeps me searching in the Word:)
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart, Rose ... I really appreciate it. I also love these studies and especially like being able to do it via e-mail. I'd been thinking of doing some bible swaps via e-mail before now but hadn't gotten myself together to get them organized and posted but hope to soon!
Comment: I reallly REALLY Like that song!! Thanks for sharing
Response: Hi Hope, I'm so happy that you like it. The same here ... I had never heard it until the song swap in your group and the first time I heard it, it was like - Yes, my all-time FAVORITE praise & worship song! Have a good day and ... STAY SAFE!
Comment: Thank you for sharing this glimpse into your world! I enjoyed reading your letter very much! Sounds like your Kyla kitty can be a full-time “job” ... I can relate, having kids!!! Love the quotes as well 😉
Response: Hi! Thanks so much to you for the 5 and the heart. Yes, sometimes Ky does feel like a full-time job and I know I tend to WAY over-spoil her but I wouldn't trade it for anything. lol I'm so happy that you liked my letter (and the quotes too!) (Hugs)
Comment: Thank you for sharing. I very much enjoyed reading your answers!
Response: I'm so glad that you enjoyed it and I'll take that comment to mean that it was worth waiting for (after it being returned to me twice for insufficient postage when there was enough on it from the first time I mailed it. lol) Thank you for your kind comment and also for the 5 and the heart ... you just made my whole day! : )
Comment: Thank you so much! I do love these Bible study swaps also! I know of a couple of boards I can put these cards up on.
Response: Thanks so much Diane ... I have a lot more of those cards so if you could use more, I'd be happy to send you some! I don't get out and about all that much and especially now with the Coronavirus because of my compromised immune system. Thanks also for the 5 and the heart. (Yes, I love these swaps too!)
Response: I think so too (Smile!) I think I want to start a notebook and write down all of the lyrics of the songs I like. Maybe too, thought about hosting a swap for that ... an email one for maybe 10 of our favorite songs including the lyrics to them. Just an idea!
Comment: Can I give you all the hearts and stars for this swap?? I loved your answers and the detail and depth you went to. Thank you so much for doing this swap with me.
Response: Awe thank you for the awesome rating AND all the hearts and stars (but your sweet comment is worth more to me than all the hearts and stars!) You're so welcome and remember, there are other swaps we can do like this! : )
Comment: Debi, thank you soooooo much for such a thoughtful package!!! I’m feeling really special that you picked out such personal verses for me! And i absolutely adored your extras, i swap soooo many postcards because i collect them, so they will go to good use. Thank you again :) 🙏
Response: I'm so happy that you liked everything ... just hearing that, totally made my day! (Hugs) Oh and thanks so much for the awesome rating as well!
Comment: Thank you for the Elvis postcard. I love him. Here in Tulsa OK we have had a mild winter too, I hope it stays that way.
Response: I'm so glad that you liked the card! About the weather, as I said - it's been really mild but then I just saw on the weather that starting Wednesday or Thursday of this coming week, it's to get nasty out and we'll be in for Lake Effect snow. Ugh! (I live about 45-50 miles south of Lake Erie and when we get lake effect snow warnings, we usually "really" get the snow. Oh well, it is winter so I guess it was bound to happen. Ha! Ha! Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart!
Comment: Debi, thank you SO MUCH for your thoughtful verses. They really grounded me which is what i needed!n let me know if you would be interested in a direct swap. Also, i have a new favorite bible verse thanks to you: “love Is patient, love is kind.....” (Corinthians 13:4-7) Either way, Thank you TONS for the kind words ;)
Love your friend, Harley.
Response: Awe, thank you so much for your sweet comments, you made my day! - - I have an envelope going out to you in today or tomorrow's mail (for the next Bible Verse Swap!) Just now saw who I was to send to and it was YOU! lol
I can't do a direct or private swap right now as I have too many things I need to get caught up on but after that, I would love to, thanks so much for asking. : ) (Hugs)
Comment: Thank you for sharing! That mixed up could have happened to any of us :)
Response: Candace, thank you so much for being so understanding (as my other partner was as well.)
After my mix-up, I have been checking and double checking to make sure the right swap got in the right envelope. lol
Thanks for the great rating!
Comment: Thank you! I hope someday you have the opportunity to learn to play the guitar!
Response: You're welcome, Denise. I guess it I ever am going to learn to play the guitar, I'm going to have to find some things to cut out that I'm doing now so I can have the time to do it. Thanks for the 5 and for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the interesting facts! I especially enjoyed the one about your home town... and I never knew where the term “burying the hatchet” came from until today! 😀
Response: I'm so happy that you enjoyed reading the trivia that I sent. Oh my goodness, you know what? Even though I wrote it (okay - copied and pasted it) but it was one of my trivia facts ... I had never thought of it that way as to where the term "burying the hatchet" come from but I'll bet you are right about that. (See how un-observative I can be? lol) So happy you pointed that out! : )
Comment: L-O-V-E the postcard! Also, the translation is hilarious. Thank you so much! Your translation was way better than mine!
Response: You're so welcome and I'm glad you liked it. Oh trust me, with the translation, it took me a few tries before I got something that was a bit out of the ordinary. I think it doesn't happy every single time with the translation being funny. I "LOVE" that swap and hope that I catch the next one so I can join it too! : ) Thanks for the 5 and the heart . Have an awesome week!
Comment: Thank you for the article!! My hubby was to be in the Philippines this week for work reason so this article has some uncanny magic in arriving!! Thank you for sharing and caring!! xx
Response: Awe, you're welcome and I'm so glad that you liked it. Yes, that is something that you got it this week of all times that it could have come, huh?! Thank you again for everything and being so understanding. Have a great week! (Hugs)
Comment: Your trip sounds so interesting! Thank you for sharing!<3
Response: Thanks so much - I hope to get there one day. I mean, I have been to Georgia before but not to see a real plantation house and that's what I want to be able to experience and see how magnificent the house is. Thanks so much for the rating - have a great week!
Comment: I've heard wonderful things about Georgia!!
My parents went castle-hopping in New York.. I never knew that was a thing, but apparently they have amazing castles there! Just in case you're up that direction :)
Response: Hi Alyssa, I've been to Georgia but mostly it was driving through it on our way to Florida. I live in PA and so am not all that far from New York ... I did hear of a castle up there that gives tours and hope to get there someday! Thanks for the rating and ... have a great week!
Comment: You and your sister seem close! I love it!
Response: Hi Cindy, Yes - my sister and I are really close. But then too, we had to be - we're the only girls and have 3 brothers so we had to stick together. lol Have a nice week and thank you so much for the 5 and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for your wonderful letter and the coloring recipe cards.I love to color. I so enjoyed reading your letter and learning all about you. I would be interested in doing other swaps and continuing to write to you. I will send you a letter soon in answer to your questions in the letter. Thank you again.
Response: Hi Sue, I'd love to hear from you and will be waiting for your letter! It might take me a bit of time to write back until I get caught up on my swaps I'm doing now but I will answer. Thanks for the 5 and the heart ... both are appreciated!
Comment: Thanks for so many looks are your earlier days. You may not know I teach writing to senior citizens and the past two weeks have been writing about early memories. What a variety....Iove hearing all the different ways people lived quite a few years ago.
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. No, I didn't know that you teach writing to senior citizens, that is AWESOME! I love the "Remembering When" swaps because I guess, I seem to have many more happy memories of growing up than I do now. (Now, is that sad or what? lol)
Comment: Hi, Debi. Thank you for the note. The train ride sounds like a lot of fun and a great experience. And thank you very much for the postcards -- I love them!
Response: Hi Richard, I'm so happy that you liked the cards I sent. And, thank YOU for the great rating! The train is awesome and I hear it every time it runs because it's just across the creek from where I live. : )
Comment: When i saw the words "plantation" in the title of the book, my jaws literally dropped. But i read the synopsis for The Whistle Walk and i am curious. Will try and get a copy of it. Thanks for sharing!
Response: I hope you can get a copy of it - I'm only like 20% into the book and am loving it! Thanks so much for the 5 and especially for the heart. : )
Comment: Thank you for sharing. Good luck with your Faith & Finance. I wanted to be a Nurse but life sent me in another direction. Happy Swapping.
Response: Thanks for the great rating! As for my Faith and Finance classes - they're going great (it's just my spending that isn't really cooperating. Oops!) Maybe this coming week I'll do better (I hope!) Have an awesome week!
Comment: (⊃｡•́‿•̀｡)⊃━☆ﾟ.*･｡ﾟ Thank you Debi for the uplifting articles! I absolutely 🅻🅾🆅🅴 them! I am especially touched by your genuine and meaningful handwritten ones that required some of your undivided attention and quality time. I am truly humbled and honored to have been your partner. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity. 💖❥💞❦💕❧💗♡💓♥️❤️❤💘ღ💝❣💘💚💟💙💜💛 εїз Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ ❤ ƸӜƷ εїз
Response: Awe, thank you so much for your kind words. I always write mine out, one because I love to write and secondly - because I don't own a printer. lol
In fact, I'm just taking a break from one I'm writing out right now (well, not right now but before I come here to respond to your rating.) It's from the Uplifting Article Swap that Linda is hosting now. Love those swaps!
Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart! (Hugs)
Comment: HI Debi! That is so cute that you thought you could take a nap in the restroom! I had a teacher who made us call the bathroom "the facilities". That was kind of weird, right? Happy swapping!
Response: lol - Thanks Erica. Yeah, you're right - having to call the bathroom "the facilities" is kinda strange for sure. And these people are the ones who taught us and were preparing us for LIFE? Ha! Ha! (Just kidding!)
Comment: Thanks for sharing! I talk to my cats a lot too; one of them likes to talk back! :P
Response: I was just telling my friend last night when she had her dog out for a walk - she was talking to him and I told her that I would love to know what they would say if they had a conversation back that we could understand. lol Thanks for the 5 and the heart, Eunice!
Comment: Thank you for joining this swap. I enjoyed reading your answers!
Response: Thank you for your awesome rating - I'm so glad that you enjoyed reading my swap answers (at least one of them, I wasn't sure if I could come up with anything for it. lol) Thanks so much for hosting the swap!
Comment: Thanks for your lovely letter. I really enjoyed reading about our day.
Response: Oh, I am so glad that you liked it. My life is generally pretty boring but even so, I just seem to talk a lot so I guess I can make it sound more interesting than it really is. (Ha! Ha!) Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart.
Comment: Dear Debi and Kyla, thank you so much for your lovely mail and all the gorgeous picture of your sweet cat. I love all the details you wrote me and I wish I could pet your sweetie. She is such a cutiepie! I hope you have many much years of beautiful time together!
Stay creative, and have an amazing day!
Response: I'm so glad that you enjoyed my e-mail and my rambling on about Kyla. She's a special girl and I just wanted everyone to know that. lol I absolutely LOVED doing this swap because of all of the awesome pictures and hearing about everyone's pets ... it totally made my day, both to share Kyla and to get to see and read about others animals as well. Thanks so much for joining the swap!
Comment: Thank you for the email! I don't regularly listen to a lot of the songs on the list you sent, but they're ones I know from growing up with music-loving parents who played them all the time! It was nice to take a trip down memory lane like that. Thanks again!
Response: You're so welcome and I'm glad they were good memories. Good ones for me too when I could take time and go back over and think of some of my favorites! Thanks so much for the rating and for rating so fast!
Comment: Thank you for the vintage TV post card. Very unusual. In Tulsa we had storms one day and snow the next. Luckily it didn't get below freezing so the roads were fine to drive on.
Response: I'm glad you liked it - yeah, I found an entire pack of the vintage type postcards with all kinds of the old-time actors and actresses and another one with old time advertisements. So happy you didn't get bad roads from the storms. We had a couple of days here in NW PA that the roads were horrible bad but it's all good now. : )
Comment: Your verses have had a profound effect on me. I needed them so much during this rough time. I will hang them by my bath mirror so I can see them every morning before work, thank you so much. God uses each of us to help one another. I have begun to collect recipe cards. Thank you Debi.
Response: I don't know what you're going through but I am so happy that the verses were a help to you. Yes, God does use each of us to help others, that's for sure true! (Hugs) - - Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. : )
Comment: Thanks for your nice note and enclosed cards. Good luck decorating your planner.
Response: Your so welcome ... thank you for the 5 and the heart and for the encouragement on my planner (I have to admit, I'm so intimidated enough that I haven't tried decorating it yet .. but I will!)
Comment: I whole-heartedly support your weight loss goals! Please keep in mind that some weeks you may not lose, but don't give up! It's just how the body works. Perseverance is key!
Response: Thanks so much for your support ... it's not always easy trying to lose but this time I'm not worried about how many pounds that I can lose how fast because that never works in the end. Now I'm just happy to lose a pound a week and if not, it's okay as long as I know I'm eating the right way.
Comment: Thank you so much for this thoughtful mail, and for such awesome answers to the questions. ;v; I really love your handwriting. Oh, and thank you for the awesome groundhog day memos!! That's so awesome, I love stuff like that!! Thank you for sharing such awesome mail!!
Response: Awe, thank you - I'm so glad that you liked it all. (Hugs)
Comment: I really enjoyed participating in this swap - our answers are similar but different in their own ways and it's awesome! Your handwriting is really pretty. (Also, thank you so much for the lil tuckins!!) I hope you had a very Happy New Year, and God bless!!
Response: Thanks so much for the awesome rating and for the compliment on my handwriting (I'm still working on improving it though!) and you are so welcome for the cards I sent with your swap.
So happy you liked the swap and hope you'll join another one of the Bible Study swaps too. Happy New Year!
Comment: Hi Debi! Thanks for the awesome share! Your apartment complex sounds huge! Thanks also for the recipe cards! Wishing you all the best! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I'm glad you liked it Vicky, thank YOU for sharing that with me (it's been not such a great day here) but your comment really meant a lot to me. And, thank you also for the 5 and the heart. Hopefully we'll be partners again some other time!
Comment: thank you for the card! Fall has set in here as well. I would have loved another month of summer, my summer was non-stop I didnt even get a chance to do anything fun. Enjoy the upcoming holidays!
Comment: I am SOOO Sorry about not RATING!! OH EM GEE!! I totally forgot!! We Had company the the past week and I was distracted. Please forgive me!! I even Stayed up REAL late doing that swap so Not to make a bad first impression! LOL
Response: Hi Hope ... Thanks so much for the doing the swap with me and for the 5 and the heart. I hope you had a nice time visiting your company! (Hugs)
Comment: Thanks for the cute letter. I will tell you what my diabetes educator told me. Don't buy it, then you can't eat it hahahaha. I have been snacking a lot more lately and I am trying to get out of that habit. That is my goal for the coming week (this was my first goal swap). Happy Swapping!
Response: Good luck this week with our goal (I say OUR goal because we're sharing one and the same!) You're so right, don't buy it and ya can't eat it ... sure wish it were that easy. LOL I actually bought a bag of apples yesterday and consider that a snacking win for me this week. After all - it's only myself and the cat here and Kyla (cat) won't eat them so I guess I'm gonna have to or waste the money I spent in buying them. lol (I hope this coming week I'll have a loss to show for it!) Thanks for the 5 and the heart!
Comment: Sorry for the late rate. My fun mail has been sitting in a stack it seemed I could never get to! Thank you for the beautiful floral postcard. The postal machines "wiped off" the words at the bottom, but the flowers are untouched. The scripture is spot on. I need it going into this week of meetings! Summer ended for me a month ago, so it really went by too quickly!
Response: As they say, better late than never ... thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. And, so glad that the scripture is one you needed. Have a good week!
Comment: Thanks for the very fine swap. Lots of interesting information. The National Railroad Register, from a few years af=go, indicates that only the OC&T is operating in your town. It interchanges with Conrail just north of Oil City. So one line you see must be the tourist ride and the other their freight operations. They list several customers.
Your town sounds like a worthwhile stop on our road-trip to Cleveland next year.
Response: Neal, thanks so much for doing the swap with me and for the rating as well. As long as you're interested in the oil discovery and the train ride, it's a great place to visit! Also they have a Caboose motel where you sleep in train cars which have been made into hotel rooms. I've never been in one but think it's a cool idea!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your grievances with me! I am enjoying these swaps so much! I am the same way, in that I find myself eating more and more vegan. I can’t commit to 100% (I did for 30 days) because I enjoy honey!
Response: Yes, I like these swaps too but if I don't get more stationery sets, I'll be out of them. lol I have TONS and TONS of stationery, but only one tablet with the envelopes that match so once they're gone, I'll be out. Will see what I can find for getting more but it won't be in my town for sure. LOL Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Thank you so much for the card and postage stamps! Those were very thoughtful! And I loved the Elmo one. Give Kyla some extra love from me (: And don't be afraid to start doing postsecrets. Once you look up a few examples, you realize you have a bunch. Well, at least I did, hahaha. Thanks again! (:
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. You're so welcome for the card and stamps though if I could have found more stamps at the time, I would have surely sent them. It's a case of having too much stuff and not knowing where anything is when I want/need it. lol I do believe that I will try the postsecrets ... I can't imagine what I would have to write but as you said, once I look around - I'll probably find a bunch that I could write. lol
Comment: Your Letter was hysterically Witty!! My hubs and I had fun reading it in the car!! We giggled over your Affair with Ben and Jerry's and we thought you did very well this week! Congrats on your goal!!
Response: Hi! So happy that you and your hubby liked my letter and thank you for the congrats. When I weighed myself on Monday of this week, I had lost 5 pounds since the last time I weighed. Hooray!! Thank you so much for the 5 and the heart and more than that, for letting me know you both enjoyed and had a giggle or two from reading what I wrote. Have a great day! : )
Comment: Thank you for the wonderfully newsy letter! I truly enjoyed it! Hope your Kyla is drinking and doing well! We live a little over a mile from a train and we can hear the trains, I too love that sound! I also have a desk like yours, my son got it for me! God bless you!
Response: Donna, thanks so much for the 5 and the heart and I'm glad you liked my letter. As you see, I do truly have the "gift of gab". LOL
Yes, Kyla is drinking again - I took her back for her 2 week check-up on Monday and the vet said she could eat her dry food again and so I gave her some for supper and she was back drinking that same night! God Bless You and Yours as well. (Hugs)
Comment: OMG - I used to belong to the Trinity Cross Stitchers where we made the same type of crosses for missionaries, too! LOVED working with the colors and plastic mesh. So relaxing while watching tv. <3
Response: Thanks so much for the rating (and a heart too!) : ) I've never heard of the Trinity Cross Stitchers but it sounds like I'd fit right in there, for sure! lol
Comment: thank you for the PC. Best wishes for your cat, I hope she is doing better <3
Response: Thank you for the rating and for thinking of Kyla. She is doing okay with the exception that she still has not drank any water since I brought her home that day (August 7th!!) She has been eating canned food due to them pulling her tooth and they say that she's getting enough fluids that way. She was a big drinker before and for the life of me, I can not figure out why she won't drink her water now. I literally measure it out in a measuring cup and then when I change it, I do the same and that's how I know she hasn't been drinking it. She has an appt. this coming Monday so we'll see what the vet has to say.
Comment: I read that friendship story before in Readers Digest or Guideposts. It brings tears to my eyes. Beautiful story on true friendship.
Response: Thanks for both ratings - for this and the bible study swap. I appreciate them. So happy that you liked that story but sorry it was a repeat for you. It really was an awesome story ... yes. : )
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter! Your handwriting is absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed reading about your favorite summer activity and about where you live. It put a smile on my face. Thank you again :)
Response: Oh my gosh, thank you so much (for the compliment on my writing) because I have been working on it but still don't have it to where I'm totally happy with it but I must say that I feel better about it now than I did! I'm glad you liked reading the notecard. Have a wonderful day! (Okay, so it's a quarter till midnight right now so instead I'll say, have a fabulous day tomorrow! Smile!)
Comment: Love the cruise boat PC! A private pool would be nice, especially with this heat wave of a summer we're all having.
Response: I totally agree about a private pool being nice (I want one but I live in an apt. house with 63 apartments and unfortunately no pools allowed here. Darn! lol) Thanks for the 5 and the heart. I appreciate both!
Comment: Hi Debi! Cool card! Does her swimsuit have POCKETS?! Yes, it's hot here, but after going to Michigan for a week recently I can say that it might just be hotter up north right now. WOW. We couldn't wait to get back to Atlanta to be cooler, lol. Thanks! :):):)
Response: I'm glad you liked the card. It's for sure been hot up this way lately (NW PA) but while in Michigan, I hope you had some kind of fun while you were there! Have a wonderful day. : )
Comment: Thank you for your lovely email. I enjoyed reading all of your answers. It was nice to read about your likes and dislikes. I also really enjoyed the things you told about your antique desk, very inspiring. Maybe I'm gonna do some of these things as well. 😁
Response: Hi - thanks so much for the 5 and heart and I'm so glad that you liked my e-mail. I "LOVE" these kind of swaps! Have a wonderful day. : )
Comment: Thank you for your answers. I enjoyed them.
I can relate your not-really-vegetarian to my desire to limit my sugar intake. Do you know how many different ways there are to not say “sugar”? There are a lot!
Response: Thanks so much for the great rating, Neal. Oh man, yes - I can just imagine the ways to have to not say sugar ... that'd be really, REALLY hard!
Comment: Thank you so much for joining with me in this study. The next Sunday after doing this study we got our new SS books for this quarter and we are studying Timothy1 & 2. So I will get to know Timothy well.
Response: That's awesome Diane (about the Timothy 1 & 2 studies. Thank you for the 5 and the heart. Have a good day!
Comment: Thank you for the pretty card! I hope your cat enjoyed her walk - that's so sweet she gets to go out in the world!
Response: You're so welcome and I'm glad you liked it. Yep, Kyla enjoyed her walk ... last night we took another one over to the grocery store (which is only across the street) but she likes going with me there! lol - - I almost forgot to thank YOU for the 5 and the heart. Thank you! : )
Comment: I love this postcard. Maureen O'Hara was fantastic in it, pretty impressive since it waas her first film. She was only 18 when she played Esmerelda.
Response: That card and a couple of others, I had multiples of and it wasn't like I really thought "Yuk" at it, I'd already saved one back to keep for myself. lol I thought it pretty as well but didn't realize it was from her first film. That's awesome! Thanks for the rating!
Comment: I think the lie is that you are good at guitar.
Response: Wow, you did pick out the lie. Well done! ... #'s 1 and 3 were truths. My cats actually DOES go shopping with me at the Dollar Stores and too, I have lived where I do now for 7 months and have only used the stove once (I microwave mostly. lol) As for the guitar, I started taking lessons but have forgotten what I've learned.
Comment: Thank you for your story. I like "wordy" and detailed.
I have to tell you, I am not at all a cat person. When I started reading, my thought was "Oh no... she is going to write 2000 words about her cat." but I never stopped smiling as I read it through to the end.
Don't tell any one but I have been warming up to cats for a while now. Other people's cats. I'm not going to run out and get one.
Best Wishes, Neal
Response: Neal, thank you so much for the awesome rating. I'm glad that the story kept you smiling as you read it. Hearing that, made my day!
Comment: Hi Debi!
It was really fun reading your answers! And I'm probably around your age, those books were some of my favorites, too! 😊 Thank you for swapping!
Will go rate now.
Response: I'm glad you liked reading it, Julie and thank you so much for the 5 and the heart. Have a wonderful day!
Comment: Hi Deb, great hearing from you, OH Layla we are having issues with school, ya, she doesn't want to go lol. I will show her your post card and tell her you said hi. Have a great day! Thanks for the super cute post card
Response: You're so welcome. The postcard was one that I had gotten from Zazzle - they do have some really cute ones there!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Great letter! I love the paper you used. I would love to do a private mini composition book of randomness swap whenever you want, just let me know! And your kitty sounds adorable :)
Comment: As you did in rating me, I tagged a heart for this swap. I so enjoyed reading all your answers and felt that we were sharing a cup of coffee and chatting! This was such a nice swap to be a part of! I look forward to doing more if you ever choose to host another!
Thank you again for including me! It was so fun!!
Comment: What a great postcard! It really made me laugh out loud! Thanks for bringing me some much-needed cheer on a dreary day (please hurry springtime)!
Response: I'm glad you liked it and that it made you laugh ... and yes, I hear you - I'm waiting for springtime to get here too and the sooner the better! lol Thanks so much for the heart and the 5. (Hugs)
Comment: Thank you for sharing! I loved those verses as well! I will pray for your prayer requests. I'm so sorry for what you are dealing with. Thanks for the beautiful cross and the beautiful bookmarks!
Response: Thank you so much Yvonne for the prayers, they are much appreciated as also is the 5 and the heart. You are so welcome for the cross and bookmarks. The cross I made (I've literally made thousands over the years to go in with Operation Christmas Child boxes and also to nursing homes as well as overseas when I know someone who's going for missions. Working on them keeps me busy and out of trouble. lol
Comment: Thank you for the lovely letter and extra goodies! I hope you got everything done that wanted to in your letter, and don't worry, you definitely don't sound stupid ahaha! - Ellie x
Response: Awe, thanks so much for making me feel better. Those letters though at first they sounded like it - aren't the easiest ones to write, ya know? lol Have a great day and thank you for the 5 and heart!
Comment: Experience speaks. Thank you for such a lovely mail! It's so beautifully written, it almost felt as if I were there in the same room with you 😊
Response: Awe, thank you so much! I've had other people tell me the same, that when I write they feel like they're right there with me in a real conversation. lol Have a wonderful day and thank you again, you have made my whole day! (P.S. Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart too, though your words meant more to me than both of those together!) (Hugs)
Comment: Thank you for the Bible verses! The cards are very pretty! Your note made me laugh because you said go ahead and laugh! Your coloring was perfect and extras not needed anyway! Your note was very sweet! I think as creative people we are almost always more critical of our own projects! God bless
Response: Donna, Oh good - I'm so glad that you liked the cards and too, that I made you laugh. Thank you so much for the 5 and the heart! (Hugs)
Comment: I loved your email. Give your sweet Kyla pets from me! Thanks for a wonderful swap.
Response: Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked it. Just reached over and give her pets from you as I read your comment because she's laying right next to me in my Idea Raskog cart (it has a top, middle and bottom in the cart and of course, she's taking up the top one!) Thanks so much for the heart and the 5! (Hugs)
Response: Thank you so much, I wasn't sure which boards to share but then realized that some didn't have the required 20 things on the boards. lol Thank you for the 5 and the heart rating. Have a wonderful weekend!
Comment: Despite your problems, you got some things done. Good job!
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the encouragement. Today it's feeling some better so I'm happy about that. Still hurts at times but still, getting better bit by bit is better than not at all. lol Have a wonderful week!
Comment: I'm sorry to hear about your back pain! I hope it gets better soon! Being unproductive is the pits! Thanks for sending your update, though! Get some rest this weekend!
Response: Thank for the rating and heart and yes, you're so right, being unproductive surely is the pits. Especially when i have to get a letter finished for a swap and it hurts to sit. I'll get it done though, one way or the other! Have a great week!
Comment: I loved reading through your song list. We have a few in common. Thanks for the cute stationery too. I have a terrible time finding anything like that around where I live!
Response: Trust me, I can't find the cute stationery around where I live either ... it's called Ebay or Etsy. lol If it weren't for them, I'd be back to writing tablets again. Ha! I'm so glad you like my list as well. Have a fantastic day!
Comment: Well done on all your goals, it was a big list. I wondered why you already sent it out on Thursday with unfinished goals? You could have tried 3 more days. Good luck for next week...
Response: Hi Cindy, thanks for the compliment. I guess with unfinished goals, I had some left and sent my list out was 'cuz this was a short work week. lol Have a great day and a good upcoming week as well.
Comment: It was nice to get to know a little bit of your childhood through this swap, I wish drive-in movie theater still existed to try it out
Response: Thanks so much for the great rating (and the heart!) As for drive-in movies, there are still some that are still open here in Pennsylvania but unfortunately with no car, it's hard to get to one these days. lol Still - great memories. When we were little (many kids' moms did this), they'd get the kids dressed in their pajamas before they went to the drive-in because chances are they would have fallen asleep before they got home. That way they could just carry them in from the car and put them into their beds.
Comment: Thanks so much for your long letter on the coolest paper! Cooter is about 6 inches wide and a pretty grumpy guy lol. He does live in an aquarium with a big rock bridge that he loves to bask on. When we got him in New Orleans as a baby he was only about an inch and a half wide - that was almost 7 years ago. He's grown quite big since then. One time he bit Goldie's nose. Poor girl. No more petting the turtle by the dogs. He really tries to bite us too so pretty much no more petting the turtle at all now that he has a rather large beak. By the way, Kyla looks and sounds precious.
Response: Elizabeth, thank you for the 5 and the heart too. I'm so glad you liked the letter and ... the paper too! So Cooter is a crochety old man, is he? lol How long do they live? Awe, thanks for the compliments on Kyla. She's quite a girl, I can tell you that!
Comment: Thank you for the list of awesome songs! There's only one that I wasn't really familiar with. You had me at Tommy Roe lol. So sad to hear about Peter. Did you watch the Monkees tv show? Peter was always my favorite. Your list made me smile 💜
Response: Hi Jen, if I were to sit here with my eyes shut, I can still picture myself in my bedroom at home playing the song "Dizzy" by Tommy Roe over and over and over again! lol Yes, I always watched the Monkees growing up and in fact one night this week they had 2 episodes of the Monkees air in honor of Peter. So happy you liked my song list! Thank you for the 5 and the heart.
Comment: Not a single song on your list that I don't love. It was so hard to narrow my favorites down to just, well, 22 on my list.
Thanks for the swap.
Response: Hi Neal, thanks for the 5 and the heart. I'm glad that you liked my list ... it was hard to choose as I had so many to choose from over the years. [P.S. You're surely welcome for the swap and thanks for joining it!]
Comment: I'm sorry I didn't think of this until I received the reminder; I haven't been on here. I LOVED LOVED LOVED your letter and the papery treats!! I wrote back...hopefully you have received it by now....and hope to hear from you again!
Response: Tracy, thanks so much for the 5 and the heart and I am so happy that you liked my letter and the paper things I sent. I did in fact get your letter a couple of days ago and loved it too. I'll write back but it may be a little while as I'm signed up for quite a few swaps right now plus have one to angel that is quite detailed. I'll write back though as soon as I can. Promise!
Comment: Thank you for the inspirational articles! Yes very inspiring! The one about military was so very sweet! The one if the teacher reminded me of how God guides us each day. Teacher was incouraged, the son perseverance and saving the father, very heart warming!
Response: I'm so glad that they were inspirational to you [they were to me as well!] Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart ... ya made my day! : )
Comment: Thanks Debi, I am about to settle down and read your letter. I wanted to rate you while I had a minute. Love the goodies too:)
Response: Emily, I still plan on answering your letter you wrote me this past year, "if" I can find it. I moved and still can't find everything. Was so horribly busy from May through the end of the year that I just didn't have time then to answer it but I haven't forgotten! ----- Make sure and update to let me know if you liked the letter or not! lol
Comment: Thanks for the lovely PC and your note. I gained 8 pounds over the holidays but am back on track now. Slow and steady works well for me. I've lost three pounds in January and that's fine.
Response: Thanks so much for the rating. I hope you're still on track yet - as for me, yeah - not so much right now but I soon will be [I hope!] lol I am going to follow the weight watchers plan though I am not a member or anything, it seemed to help in the past. As for you - keep up the good work!
Comment: I enjoyed your answers and the stationary is great. I was watching that groundhog except reruns rofl. He did good this year. I was afraid I was going to have to blindfold him hehe. Cool thriftstore find!
Response: Hi Kathy, thanks for the rating. I'm glad you enjoyed my answers and the stationery ... since my swap to you, I've also bought more of it [not same design but more none the less.] Oh my goodness, I'm getting obsessed with it. ha!
Comment: Thank you so much for the uplifting article. It was so touching and such a great reminder of what a simple gesture of kindness may do for someone. And the hand writing made it even more personal!
Response: Awe, thank you so much! Both for your comments and for the 5 and the heart. Have a nice day and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Comment: HI Debi! I so enjoyed this swap and your email, it made me smile so much as I was reading it. It was just like you were talking to me, very friendly and fun. I will certainly look up Juliet Jones and also 'tangling', whatever that is! While you're saying how cold it is (brrrrrr!) we have been here sweating it out with temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius - last Thursday was the hottest since 1939 with 48.6*C, if I remember correctly! Enjoy the deer, your new place and (maybe by now) your new TV. I hope the pillow situation has been resolved to your satisfaction, too. All the best and thanks again for a great swap! Tracy
Response: Awe, thank you so much for the sweet words and the 5 (and a heart too!) I've heard people say that a lot when I write letters, that it's just like we were sitting there having a conversation face to face almost. Compliments like that really make me happy so thank you, you made my day! Edit: Woo hoo ... I just realized that you just gave me my 300th - 5 rating!!
Comment: I really enjoyed your letter. I've seen cats being walked on a leash but never one riding or staying in a stroller. My friends cat has a 12 foot leash and she allows it to climb trees while out on the walk. I smiled to hear you say, "well, hello sister", except for using the microwave and toaster, I haven't turned on the cook stove in four years, but, having a puppy, I have to sweep the kitchen a couple of times a week. I didn't know the first oil well was in Titusville, but, did you know that the first major soda pop brand made in the US is Dr. Pepper made just outside Dallas? I don't like going to the movie theater and I don't like eating out at restaurants either. I record all my shows. High school home ec. LOL, I hadn't thought about that class in years. I could teach you to thread the sewing machine needle as long as you had a good strong light and good glasses. I love the awesome cross bookmark, thank you
Response: Awe, I'm so glad you liked both the letter and the cross - that just made my day! Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. : )
Comment: thank you for sharing this swap with me, I enjoyed reading your answers, I like your last added point about the pillow, sometimes in this illogical world I look at something and think, HUH Really!! You are a lovely person to share your wonderful crafty creations as you do.
Response: Thanks so much for the 5, the heart and for the sweet comments. I really enjoyed doing this swap with you and hope we can do it again sometime!
Comment: Nothing surprises me anymore with Thelma. Let me research that center for unwed maiden aunts where Aunt Bernice gave birth last year. ;) Thank you also for the cool vintage postcard!
Response: Thanks so much for the 5 and the heart. It sounds like you enjoyed the card and I sure hope that you did and it gave you a good laugh. Have a good day! By the way I'm doing the same swap again right now if you'd like to join again!
Comment: Thanks a lot for your email, I loved the story of the bet between you and your son! :D I was smiling a lot! I guess this happen to a lot of people: they have a strong will about loosing weight and after a while they are not motivated. Actually, I'd also like to loose weight, and actually, it would be very nice to loose 50 pounds! Right now I'm 93 kg and my dream is to be 70-75 kgs *.* I hope both of us can do it! :) Happy Holidays, take care of yourself! P.S.: thanks a lot for organizing the swap :)
Response: Thanks so much for the quick rating and the heart. Have a good day!
Comment: Wonderful answers. I feel a little sad you live alone but you seem so content. Keep crafting your crosses make a difference I am sure!
Response: Awe, thanks so much for your sweet comments and the 5 ratings with a heart. Yeah, I am content with living alone and well, I'm not totally alone as I have my cat with me [she's the baby! lol] I love doing my crosses as it makes me happy to help make others happy and also it helps to keep my from being stressed out.
Comment: I do agree with your opinion about hearts, even for an electronic swap! So since I liked reading your opinion and you clearly thought about this and it helped me as a newbie I think you deserve this heart. Thanks for sharing!
Comment: Oh my goodness!!!🤗 hugs hugs and hugs 🤗 I love this swap! Nothing better to read then the word of OUR Lord!!! Thank you so much for all the little goodies especially the yarn! I should be done by Monday! Thank u thank u thank u!!!!!
Response: You're so welcome! And, if you'd like to do another private swap like this ... I have more yarn! 😀
Comment: You have beautiful handwriting. You should do calligraphy and also try zentangle. You would be fantastic at both! Happy swapping....
Response: Oh my gosh, thank you so much! It's kind of funny though because I don't see my handwriting that way at all. However, another funny thing is you mentioned calligraphy and just this past week I ordered a calligraphy fountain pen and ink cartridges and am gonna try doing calligraphy. : )
Comment: Sorry to hear about your friend Harvey, I found that no matter what age boys will always pick on girls lol, I was taught its because a boy like you haha boy isn't that a double standard nowadays. But US ladies are stronger :)I am downsizing, I, too, keep saying to myself I will "someday" use it? BUT will I? And what about paper, pens, and washi? I mean theirs a exception to that, you can never have too much. My husband is always telling me, why do you have so many pens? He has 1 pen, 1, and he doesn't understand the struggle LOL Plus I am left handed, and always in need of a great pen. LOL Nice chatting with you again, we must do this more often.
Response: We'll get our 10 page (both sides!) letterswap set up soon! 😀
I love doing ones like this too though with prompts that give ya somewhere to start at.
Comment: thanks debi! love the vintage pc u sent. Titusville is where my mom was born. thanks so much
Response: I meant to respond to your telling me about your mom being born in Titusville a long time ago when you told me but obviously I didn't and am sorry! How long did your mom live here, Mindy? Just curious. Our town is small but it's a safe and awesome place to be! : )
Comment: Debi- Thank you so much for the lovely letter! I really enjoyed reading it! I'm so sorry for your loss of your friends. That is so hard:( That is awesome you used a fountain pen! I haven't used one of those! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! XOXO-Dawn
Response: Thanks for the 5 rating and especially the heart, I appreciate it and also am glad that you enjoyed your letter. (Hugs)
Comment: Debi...so good to hear from you...hope you have been staying warm and healthy this winter! Those verses you shred have always been favorites of mine as well..I have a son who struggles with learning disabilities and I always quoted those verses to him to encourage him that he is exactly the person God created him to be! I enjoyed the PC you chose... the young beauty that Elizabeth Taylor was...later years she kinda went over the top with her fashion accessories (my opinion only! Ha!) Hugs and kitty smooches for Kyla...Charlene
Comment: Thanks for your chatty responses. I think you're being over cautious with your saran wrap, but you're being a very good neighbor and thanks for hosting these swaps. The questions can be answered differently each time and that's good.
Comment: Thanks for the great card. Its 30 degrees here today...feels like a heat wave. I swear I wont complain when its 90 degrees. I want to complain that I'm hot. I'm tired of snow. Thanks again for the card...have a great day
Response: Hi! You're welcome for the card [I'm glad you liked it!] Oh and I totally agree with you about being tired of snow though if it's 90 degrees out, I know me and I'm gonna complain. lol I can't take the real cold like we've been having but can't take the heat either. I always say that I'm like Baby Bear, I need it "just right". LOL
Comment: I received the articles today. I'm looking forward to reading them.
It snows on the Big Island and Kauai. I haven't seen any snow here on Oahu. It was cooler in December, probably in the 60's in the evening.
Response: Thanks so much for the rating and the heart! If you'd like, I can send ya some snow. lol
Comment: Thank you Scarlet for the profile message. I loved your profile and hope to share in lots and lots more swaps with you. Love and Hugs
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter, I will be working on your letter this week, I have so much to do before the New Year, BUT I want to reply to your letter. I hope you had a Merry Christmas. God bless
Comment: Merry Christmas Debi ! I received your card & letter today. It actually came before Christmas ! Wow !Thank you for both and I enjoyed reading them too ! Special thank you for telling me about yourself. My kids are almost as old as yours are. Only I have 5 grown children. My youngest of the 5 lives here at home, so to save money. He is 23. My baby for sure, hee! But sorry to hear, you will have a somewhat lonely Christmas.
Response: Awe, I'm so glad it got there before Christmas and I'm happy you enjoyed reading my letter. ðŸ±
Comment: Thank you for the cute drawing, you did a great job, I even showed it off to my co-worker who also dabbles in swap-bot!
Response: Awe, I'm so glad that you liked it. I never even gave it a thought "until" I got a postcard from my partner, that I should have used my colored pencils and colored the girl in a bit. Thanks for the rating and the heart! : )
Comment: Hi Scarlett! I love the 1948 postcard from the Chicago Natural History Museum! That’s my childhood memory of the museum. Which had a name change to The Field Museum. What a treat to get this great card! Thank you!
Response: Oh good, I'm so glad that you liked it and especially that it brought back childhood memories for you. That's awesome! : )
Comment: So sorry for the delay in rating. I just got a bag of mail from the PO and your swap was in it.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on the subject as well as the adorable coloring cards
Comment: Debi...Thank you for the amazing card painted by the mouth and foot artist..BEAUTIFUL and definitely inspiring! It has been a great summer so far and all the family is well..I too enjoy the bird songs this time of year and watching them at my feeders. Love the coloring mini cards and have them tucked in my bag with some colored pencils to take along on my beach adventure the end of the month. Friends have offered me a free get away at their RV in a permanent camp resort at Rehoboth Beach, DE...All by my self...I'm so excited!! Hugs and prayers friend, Charlene
Response: You're so welcome, friend! I am so glad you like the coloring cards - I have 2 boxes of them but realized that I don't much like coloring anymore. Go figure, huh? lol Have fun on your vaca, it sounds like fun! I used to live in Dover and Smyrna, DE. While in Smyrna, I worked at McDonald's and waited on zillions of people going through who'd stop for something to eat. I never did get to Rehoboth Beach but still have memories of it due to all of those customers. lol
Comment: Thank you for your lovely long letter - I so enjoyed reading all about your precious Kyla, which I just now saw on your profile. She and our Coo have some of the same quirky tendencies, for one, "middle of the night tapping" :) I plan to write back and tell you more about our Coo, too. :)
Response: I'm so glad you liked the letter and I can't wait to hear more about your Coo ... I absolutely love and adore hearing about other peoples pets, their traits, personalities and the cute things they do. Letters such as that make me happy. : )
Comment: Oh my heck, my friend! You really are a paper hoarder just like me. Thank you so much for your generosity. I had so much fun going through the envelope. I want to do it again! And of course, thank you for your fabulous letter.
Comment: Fantastic swap! Thank you so much! I loved reading your letter and i appreciate all the wonderful extras you sent me for my junk journal. Im a PA native all my life.. just moved to nc. Id love to write you back :)
Comment: Hands down, the BEST letter I have ever read. Oh, my! This took forever, but it was fun to write and even more fun to read your answers. It was like chatting with an old friend. Please, pretty pretty please - be my penpal! 😃
Response: Awe ... Thanks so much! 😀 Hmm, about the pen pal request, do you also write long letters? If so, request granted! 😂 Message me anytime.
Comment: hello Debi!
i was delighted to receive your letter a couple days ago ~ hope you're enjoying the weekend/looking forward to a great week (new month, too) ahead!
will write back in a few weeks/take care!

Comment: Actually, I knew the first oil well was in Pennsylvania although I didn't remember the town's name. Thanks for refreshing my memory. And thanks for telling me what how the town's changed...an all-American story. It was an interesting letter to read.
Comment: I received your card and letter. Thank you for the encouragement scripture. So thankful that our Lord is faithful and each day His love is always to be found. Wow you are busy with many things to help. That is wonderful what you are doing. May you continue to see the joy of the children as you send along your touches of love and caring to them.
Comment: Debi, what a wonderful letter to have received from you! I felt like we were sitting at a table, having conversation.I am not traveling anywhere this year for mission trip.I will keep in mind your offer to make the games. What fun any child would have, when they have nothing. Thanks for the pocket crosses,so well made! You have alot going on with people around you, good luck with the newest grandbaby! They are a joy! Thanks againg for the chat, and extra's. Many hearts to you!
Comment: Hi Debi, our card came in w.o any smiley faces....but I am trying to get that fixed for you and then, I want you to have such a cute card you had especially made for this swap. So, I will need your address.....anita (pm me!)
Comment: Debi, I LOVE the postcard, what a beautiful card! I love ALL the colors, and even though you think it wasn't the right color around the border, I love it! It is beautiful. I love the scriptures especially. Ephesians is a great book full of reminders of how our life should be spent, living the life God intended for His children. Thanks for the extra note sheets too. Many hearts to you!!
Response: Hi Becky, I am so happy that you like the card and that ya didn't think the border color was screwed up. lol I had fun making it. : )
Comment: I really loved the card! But your words weren't sealed properly and some of them went missing in the mail and some were barely hanging on when it arrived (sad face *_*) Can you tell me what it said? But I really liked it, still! Just use a little sealer next time (I like matte medium & use it for sealing all the time.
Esp. Collage and washi tape!) Cheers!
Response: I am so sorry about the text. This was my 1st card with text and I never thought about it but sure will in the future! The text was from a book and it said "How could Nan's hair look so perfect without having to be licked into shape with cans of hair spray?" I thought the text was funny so used it. I so wish it would have been on when you got it but glad you got the card anyways and liked it. : )
Comment: Oh, I so enjoyed reading your answers, thank you! If you like, I could send you mine just for fun. I answered some of the same questions you did so it was fun to see how you answered yours. Thank you, too, for the fun cards - I LOVE the "she knew when to fold 'em" cards - they're hysterical! And the article on the WW2 reenactment article was fascinating. I've only heard of Civil War reenactment, so this was very interesting. Thanks for all of it. I'd love to keep up a correspondence if you are interested! (P.S. Super Bonus! ALLLL the stamps on the envelope came UNcancelled! Whoohoo!)
Comment: Oh my gosh..I'm glad you messaged me...I really thought I had rated you..I just loved your letter and it was so much fun reading it...I loved reading about Kyla and your books and well..just everything......Thanks for a great swap.....Hugs 'n ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s
Comment: Thank you so much for celebrating our 3rd year with the nice card, scripture and long letter. I'm glad you are enjoying friendships in the group and yes, Ginabee and I were the original founders.
Comment: Loved loved loved your letter I received today (well, actually yesterday now since it's 1:58 am Saturday morning). After a long day at work and a long week, it was such a relief to my mind and body to just sit a spell with you in your letter this afternoon! Thank you SO much, Debi! A letter will be flying your way on Monday! PS: Left you a star on your rating, too! (as a host)
Comment: It was wonderful to receive your note and the pictures, Debi. Like you, I can't believe it is fall already, but I can walk outside and it sure feels like it today! :) Hope you have a wonderful October!
Comment: Sorry for the slightly delayed rating. Thank you SO much for the letter! It really made my day. I wish I had a cat like Kyla--she sounds amazing. And let's wish all the best to Prince George :)
Comment: Thanks so much for your wonderful letter and the cute puppy postcard. I love the quote too. Oh, I have a book you might be interested in: a collection of 4 Christian fiction titles in one volume. I'll inbox you about it a little later. Have a great day!
Comment: Wow, you wrote really nice notes! I just wrote things like: " You are loved!" etc. I didn't think about writing quotes! I put one already in a library book that is going back to the library on Monday. I used the one that you signed "Debi from Titusville, PA, so not only will they be blessed, but also confused! I stayed up until 2a.m. to finish the book! It was a Christian book called "Waking Up In Heaven" by Crystal McVea. I highly recommend it.
Comment: Loved it! Thanks so much for sharing your childhood with me! Part of me wishes I had grown up in on a farm rather than suburbia, but then I recognize that farm life is more work than just playing with all the animals. :D You and I are both similar in that we still basically live in the place where we grew up (although I've only seen about half the years of changes you have). I see that you don't necessarily penpal, but if you ever wish nothing more than a reciprocation letter about my childhood, just say the word. Thanks again! That was such enjoyable reading!
Response: I am so sorry that I'm late in responding but yes - I would love to get a letter from you about your childhood!! Will send you a message in case you don't see this. I'm glad you liked my letter. : )
Comment: Hi, Debi! Thank you for the lovely note and birthday wishes. You couldn't have known it, but the note card you sent is by a designer I like. I really love some of her fabrics and just pulling the card out of the envelope made me smile because I recognized her style right away. Thank you! (P.S.: The photo of your kitty on your profile is adorable!)
Comment: I loved YOUR letter!!!!! I got it when I came home for lunch and read it with my hubby. We LOVED your story! I think my babies wil just have to write you a letter to thank you themselves! Man, I wish I had a feline who liked to sit on my shoulder. My babies always run from me. Maybe it's cuz I am always grabing at them and trying to kiss them. Thank you again!!! I think our babies need to become pen pals. :-)
Comment: I love deer. Thanks for reminding me how far I have come! I too am grateful for the different life I have now and I am so happy that you are on this side enjoying life too! That I get a chance to meet you is a miracle. May the Lord always watch over you and guide you my Christian friend!
Response: Glenna, thanks so much for your kind words. I'm glad that you liked the card. : ) (Hugs)
Comment: Thanks for a very wonderful card. I like it very much. You're quite talented! I appreciated your note too. Yes, Middleburg is 50 miles North of Harrisburg (smack dab in the middle). We visited Erie last year on vacay. Loved it. Julie
Comment: Love the story of your cat...seems the kitty knew exactly who her new 'mistress' would be! I have 2 male cats, a Maine Coon named Data who just celebrated his 10th bday and Geordi, an American short hair tabby, who is 2.
Response: Thanks so much for the note, I'm glad you liked Kyla's story. : )
I sent you two pictures of her, were you able to see the pics?
By the way, I'd love to see a picture of yours if you'd like to send one!
Comment: Thanks for the email. :D Why do cats ALWAYS have to be as close to your face as possible when you're doing something!? They have no sense of personal space. Then again, its a cat.. all space is their personal space!
Response: Oh, you are so right about all space being their private space. lol. She's sooo spoiled! : )
Comment: You can see quite a bit from your window! I just see my neighbors that hate me :(
Response: Yeah, I'm on the side of the building to where I have a good view. I forgot to mention also that I live in a hi-rise building.
I'm sorry you don't have nice neighbors, that sure can make it miserable. : (. I have a while building full of nosey ones here. Blah! lol
Comment: Hi! I enjoyed reading your letter and devotional. The devotional was right on and so thought provoking! I am a cat lover also. I have a spoiled black cat named Missy.
Response: Hi Linda, I'm glad that you liked the devotional, I thought is was very thought provoking as well. Sorry it wasn't typed but no printer hooked up as of yet [maybe this week I'll get around to it. lol]
