Comment: Added 12/26: Oh my goodness, you really spoiled me! I LOVE IT ALL! If I were to put together a special package for myself, this would be it. Thank you for making me squeal like a five year old kid. ðŸŽ„ðŸ’Œâ˜ƒï¸ My number one elf told me that a package arrived from you today. Thank you! I’m looking forward to tearing it open on Christmas. Thank you for sharing your holiday cheer with me 🎄💌🎄
Response: I love squeals ;) So happy to make your holiday a little brighter. Happy New Year!
Comment: You know, can you believe I was just admiring the different shapes, colors and resiliency of the last fleeting leaves today while strolling thru the park(ing lot)? Felt a little wistful so thank you for the permanent ones ðŸðŸ‚🌧â„ï¸ðŸ’Œ
Response: I love fall leaves, and they seem over way too quickly. Thank you for the lovely thought.
Comment: Thank you for the awesome envelope, which I look forward to opening in December. n.n The piggy flying stamp is SOOOOO fantastic, instant love and heart on that alone. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season ahead. Thank you for sending so quickly! :)
Response: LOL Flying pigs are not really winter or holiday themed but I so could not resist using it. Glad it made you smile.
Comment: Oh boy! This is the first one to arrive! What a fun envelope decoration! I'm dragging my fake white Christmas tree downstairs to collect all of these on - so exciting!!! Thank you!
Update Dec 5: Beautiful Christmas card, and what a cute tiny one! Thank you!
Response: What a great way to keep them all together. So happy I could help decorate =o)
Comment: ha ha ha he he he hahahahah...
that was too cute!
I like the stickers that matched the joke. Maybe our houses will be near other on the coast. ;) It's a great postcard and the drawing you did is lovely.
Response: I would enjoy having you as a costal neighbor =o) Thanks for joining my swap.
Comment: Thank you for the beautifully illustrated PC. Orange makes such a brief appearance in the garden--some late spring tulips, and then the poppies (which always seem to peak just in time to be pummeled by a storm). Enjoy your journeys!
Response: Orange poppies are so glorious! Enjoy this time of year.
Comment: Holy cow, what an experience opening this was. I got the mail, saw a package locker key, got excited the book I ordered must be here, found a box from you, with a fridge in, and a ghost! I mean, you know what you sent but for the benefit of anyone perusing your ratings this was definitely the most surreal bit of mail I have ever had the joy of opening. Thank you!
Response: Thank you! I was so happy you were my partner for this...it let me get a little out there <3
Comment: Jury duty, packing and sorting- is there anything you *don't* enjoy?! Thank you for the finished copy of the a&p zine! Every page of it cracks me up. I sent you a picture on instagram of the state of your envelope when it arrived, fyi... methinks that sheet music has seen better days in terms of structural integrity.
Response: I am not particularly fond of mushrooms, or stuff getting lost in the mail! Oh I agree...the ' seen better days' and bird theme are what drew me to it, but me thinks it will be better served as a inner envelope or as part of a collage now. Glad it all made it to you any ways =o)
Comment: Your awesome bat card came through the post perfectly... I am just starting to look at my cards to see which would suit. Went on a beautiful cave tour in Northern Ireland long time ago, sheesh, 21 years ago! That's the only time... no maybe something in high school? Ah well, not really my thing!
Response: I like caves as long as they are big and have cool things to look at, and of course well lit LOL I think those guys that crawl through dark tight ones are crazy!
Comment: Loved your "Life on Mars" and happy to see someone else's results. Thanks also for the extra zine. I've been on the receiving end as two of my daughters are gardeners. I'm not. Always enjoy getting an extra zine.
Response: Wow I have tried to leave a comment here twice, hope the 3rd time's a charm. I too loved Life on Mars. Hope I could help you with those extra squash LOL
Comment: Thanks for the PC! My brother in law did the DNA test and it was so interesting to see his results. Did you know full siblings can have different results? I didn't think that was possible, but I looked it up and it turns out the results can be very different. My husband wants to do one now. Maybe for Christmas....
Response: I was just going to have one kid do the test...cuz of course they are the same till I also read that they can be very different. I am so interested to see the differences. Many of the test companies ate running specials right now. Maybe you should do yourself too? =o)
Comment: Hello Jeanette :-) . . . I am sorta scared and intimidated by watercolors too. I haven't even begun to think about doing mine yet; yours is so early! I was so excited to receive your huge envelope with the BIG carp on it. That's the largest piece of mail I've ever gotten. And inside, WOW! What a lovely painting Jeanette! You have done an excellent poppy painting and I love it. Thank you for a wonderful swap :-)
Response: I have to admit I did the painting before I signed up for the swap. I do that often if a swap sounds scary to me so I can be sure I can do it before being assigned. I really love poppies so that picture came from my heart. Thank you for the kind words. My PO people were thrilled with that carp too, even when I admitted I didn't draw it =o)
Comment: Hi Jeanette. This WAS an extra-special package, starting from from the envelope, the photos, the artistamps and everything in it. Always a joy to swap with you. And you've set the bar high by your contribution to the zine. Great job!
Response: Always a pleasure to connect with you David =o)
Comment: Thank you Jennifer for the pass and Paste Pc thwt arrived yesterday! What is the surface of the pc it had s very unusual feel to it! Your zine was fun to read and you were definitely out of the box with some of your ideas! I had a great smile reading it! Thank younso much. The seeds from an orange spaghetti squash sounds very interesting. Is that w cross between a pumpkin as well as a spaghetti squash to make it orange? Wow thank you! Thank you for your compliment on my profile. We just keep growing and I read yours and loved thta you love living in the PNW too! Have a great week and will look forward to making some art on your pc!
Response: I wondered about the orange in that squash too. It was a pretty color but still tasted like normal spaghetti squash. I would love to hear if yours grow =o)
Comment: The charms are excellent. I do scrap quilting and am in process of using the 3" squares I cut for a quilt back. Like you, I just do it! Many thanks for all you sent. Would you mind if I tuck the small wrapped gift in my holiday stocking for December? I am delighted with all the goodies inside the journal, plus the tea. I feel so special today because of your package. You went above and beyond!
Response: Absolutely go ahead...it will keep =o) Glad I could brighten your day.
Comment: Jeanette! Wow! What a package, I can celebrate many days this month! I love the eggs , the earrings, necklace, bookmark and really everything that you sent! Thank you so much, I will enjoy all of these beautiful items! Hugs, Patty
Comment: Love your artistamps! I actually like that they are bigger than normal. I love them all, but my favorite is definitely the bug baby, I just wanna pinch it's cute lil butt off and wipe it all over my shirt! Thanks Jeanette!
Response: LOl I wish the bug baby was mine...but I agree I love them too....I want to make some of my own =o)
Comment: Thank you for the peek into your brain (: I think most of us (especially us creative types around here) are balancing a lot of weird clutter up in our head noggins. And it's fun to think of what you imagine yourself as (that could be a whole other exercise) I like to think of myself as some dark brooding artistic type but I'm a lot closer to a big ball of sunshine. heh.
Response: I see you as sunshine...sometimes burning hot, sometimes draped in a bit of cloud. Thank you for the kind words. LOL and my kids think my craft space is cluttered! If they only knew.
Comment: Love your artistamps! I have to ask what does Mora mean? I ask because Mora is the name of the town just north of us. Is it an acronym for something? I especially love the big bug stamp! Thank you!
Response: Mora just sounded like a neat name for a place...I guess it stands for My Own (r adjective of choice) Art. I wish the bugs were mine...I need to make some now. =o)
Comment: I love your photos! Thanks for the extras and for the lovely note. I saw a huge owl in Yellowstone once (many, many photographers hanging around - including some with HUGE lenses I was drooling over), but it was too close to dark for me to get a good shot.
Response: How very cool to see a owl in the wild. I could hardly believe that one was just sitting there, we drove by and I had to think about what I had seen for a couple of minutes before I made my husband turn the car around! Some times the best camera though is our own eyes and brain =o)
Comment: Thank you so very much for the masterboards. I have yet to try this. I love the ones you sent and I will definitely put them to good use! I think the ATC is so cute. Snail mail? Yes please! And the tea. My whole family loves the smell of this kind when someone makes it. This was a wonderful swap. Thank you so much. As far as things to do in the Twin Cities, if you decide humongous, crowded, overpriced malls aren't your thing (can you tell how much I love the mall of America?) the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) is free and completely amazing. I try to go at least once a year.
Response: Thank you for the MAI suggestion...probably way more my style =o) Thank you for the kind comment.
Comment: WOW! That was an insanely fun envie to open up (carefully...very carefully)! You did awesome. I was scared to make them too. I love how you made different sizes and perforated the edges...I tried to do that with my sewing machine but didn't work well for me. Do you have special scissors? I'm going to have to hunt some down, it just adds that extra realness. Thanks so much!
Response: I too tried a sewing machine first but I can't sew a straight line and I didn't think the holes were big enough. Then I remembered those scissors left in my old scrapbook supplies and I think they were perfect. So happy you liked them =o) Thanks!
Comment: Hi Jeanette :-) . . . I also seldom do sketching, especially with pen (no erasing) so I found it to be a challenging swap too, but your drawing is good! Even without color I can tell pretty well what it looks like from your craft space window. What color is the fence, I'm curious. And I adore the Sun Stars and Moon hanging decoration. I'll bet it is really pretty in the light from the window. Thanks for a great postcard!
Response: i Grace. The fence was once white but it's been up and weathered for 25 years so is pretty 'distressed' looking =o) My brother sent me the moon hanging from a street fair in Arizona, it's mostly purple and makes me happy to look at too. Thanks for the comment <3
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful ATC, those great canvas pieces and the postal cards. I hope I didn't misinterpret this swap- I did not find such a beautiful treasure! I really love your background on this!
Response: My found object was the reason for creating this swap...it didn't deserve just hanging out in a box. Your interpretation of the swap was perfect... I feel like a slacker that mine was so easy =o) Thank you!
Comment: What an awesome kitty postcard :) I had such a good time deciphering the chocolate! I could live on chocolate alone...I consider it a whole separate food group! I love the kitty sticker and owl sticker - very cool!
Response: Thank you...the writing was the hardest part! Oh but it has to be good chocolate, but I agree =o)
Comment: Thank you so much for the Awesome ATC's! I love the foreign language print!! As far as volunteering goes, I help out at our local homeless shelter and domestic abuse shelter. During the colder months, I help out with an organization that buys warm winter clothing for children!! Glad to hear we are kindred spirits!! Keep up the good work!!!!
Response: Thank you! It takes us all to run the world =o)
Comment: I love the kangaroo in a hat! So coooool! Thanks. :) I haven't seen seahorses in their natural habitat. Maybe someday! I've seen them at the Monterey Bay Aquarium though. Love the seahorse stamps too. I have one, but it's really big.
Response: What I would really love to see in the 'wild' is a Leafy Sea Dragon. There were some here in our Aquarium and they were so ethereal. Thank you!
Comment: I'm glad this swap gave you a good excuse to make your first junk journal because it's a glorious junk journal. I love the painted fabric cover and what you used for some of the pages made me think, "why didn't I do that?!" (clever with the self-mailer and orca brochure ^_~) Thanks!
Response: I sweated a little sending to you Ms Journal Goddess....I am so happy you liked it =o)
Comment: What a lovely memory (: when my sister and I were young we would sit together on a quilt at the top of our grandparents' stairs and ride down it like a sled on a hill- so I can imagine four kids ending up in a pile down at the bottom. Thanks for passing your smile on to me. (:
Response: Happy to share a smile with you anytime =o)
Comment: Thanks for the funny card. It arrived while my granddaughter was visiting and reminded us of carrot harvest the last time she visited when we did find people shaped carrots and imagined them partying when we weren't about. nahTk oYu!
Response: What a lovely memory...thank you for sharing it with me! <3
Comment: Hi Jeanette :-)
I am utterly ashamed and guilty of rating late. I'm always planning to do it right away but procrastinating is a difficult bad habit to break.
I was wowed by your 10 X 10 getting to know you envelope. I found all of it to be helpful and inspiring for me to get mine done (3 days early!) Starting with the outer envelope decorated with the cute little house, I found all of your inclusions to be so creative, and I really loved all the bits of getting-to-know-you information you shared. Parts I really, really enjoyed were "Things I do to relax," "Top Secret," (maybe it isn't funny to you, but the disclosure about your husband cracked me up, the "COLLECT" zine, the lovely collage postcard you used for your traditions (wonderful traditions!), and the first entry on your list of things you would avoid (the T word) (me too!). Thanks for sending a great swap!
Response: Thank you so much for joining my swap! I made this up then felt a little intimidated by the whole thing when I finally sat down to do it...it was a lot of work! Thank you for the comment.
Comment: Thanks for this gorgeous swap! This one was a challenge for me too! Clouds are hard to do well! We had an entire week of potlucks, invitations and turkey meals with family and friends. We are still eating turkey soup. LOL Thanks for the zine too! A good way to get your feelings out on paper. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: Sounds like you had a lovely holiday. Thank you for the kind words <3
Comment: Oh I love the Griffin and Sabine artwork so much. Creepy zombie chickens or no. (: Thank you for the postcard- and I am very glad the dog painting held up to resin! You have to send me a picture of how the coasters turned out!
Comment: What a cool postcard, Jeanette! Thank you! We are mostly settled in...actually just got done assembling our new dining room table. That was the last piece of big furniture we really needed. :)
Response: A table just in time for Thanksgiving. :)
Comment: Ooh! Hand cancelled and one of my favorite stamps. Neat. Love the christmassy spaceneedle too, but rating these swaps based on the envelopes is reminding me just how much I love cancellations. (:
Response: I think I have been stretching your 'flat surprise' requirement, and I may have veered from the winter theme too but I am happy about each envie, and the PO guys have not complained once about having to hand cancel any of them. Thanks for hosting this fun swap!
Comment: Amazing. I wonder how they got that tree up there. Thank you! :)
Response: Actually they are up there a lot. They decorate the top, put up American and 12th Man flags up there. Light fireworks from the top, a friends hubby's band even played a concert up there. I wouldn't want to hang out up there though =o)
Comment: Oh man, I got my own back! Bummer, LOL. Thanks for all the fun tidbits. No problem being a kitty person, I am one too. I am more like a cat than a dog. Oh and winter? What is that? It has been near 70F all month! Crazy! But I love it!!!
Response: Sorry I didn't have another to send you but I would just pass it along the next round, it's a great zine! We too have had unusually warm weather. I don't know whether to he happy or scared LOL
Comment: Oh how I wish I had friends with dogs that needed dogsitting. Literally all of my friends (who don't live with me) have cats and I'm so so allergic. :( LOVE the card and the doggie sticker on the back and the note. Thanks bunches!!
Response: If you lived close I could totally hook you up LOL Thanks for the <3
Comment: Thank you for sharing your world of literary favorites! Did you know that Milne never intended Winnie the Pooh for kids?! Where the Wild Things Are was the first children's book I owned as an adult! Great swap! xo
Response: I did not know that about Pooh, I should read it again with a adult eye...
I had the Wild Things memorized so I could 'read' it to them with my eyes closed on those long days LOL
Comment: Gee, now I feel a bit stingy for having only sent you a naked postcard! Thank you for the artsy envie, the two great postcards (love 'em both, as you knew I would), & the photo of the wall art. Everything served to distract me from thoughts of the "Big E" quite nicely! Congratulations on your upcoming trip.Hope it's just the start of your international explorations.
Response: I love them naked...all beat up and battered. So happy to take your mind off this Big E clown show even for a minute. I might not have fingernails left after next week! <3
Comment: Love the two sided graffiti zine! The Solitary zine expressed much without using much, it's so sad...The envelope is awesome, a whole 'nother swaps worth of awesome!! Many thanks for a great mail art experience!
Response: Thank you Carroll. I am glad the sadness came across, it made me sad too. <3
Comment: Hello Jeanette!
Your package was a puzzle solved soon after opening. I could not figure out who might be sending me a package from Seattle! Thank you for the several surprises--the ribbon is beautiful! I have yet to read anything by Neil Gaiman--I have assumed it will spook me. But I think I shall give Smoke & Mirrors a try. Thank you for sharing about your husband and sons. I hope to send you a fuller reply via post. :)
Response: Thank you! A book of short stories might be the perfect way to launch you into a Gaiman reading frenzy =o) Enjoy
Comment: Wow! this zine is turning out to be really nice!!! LOVE the gift card and will definetly use it in my mermaid altered book!! thanks so much! (im also impressed that the envelope is still being used!!! :) thanks! your page is gorgeous!!
Response: It is a really pretty zine. What a great use for that card...hmmm I may need to go back LOL I would love to see your altered mermaid book some day.
Comment: Thanks for a great swap! Pretty mailing envelope, nice envelope for the ATC's - all of which I really like! Then the fabulous vintage look Mickey postcards, plus a Starbucks card I don't have! You truly made this a wonderful mail day!
Response: So happy to put a smile on your face...thank you!!
Comment: Wow! I was really puzzled by your photo - at first, I thought it was some kind of a bridge! haha! The grass threw me off! I'm guessing it's an egg slicer. Thanks for the tea and the washi tape! Beautiful! Thanks so much and it was a great guessing game!
Response: You did a great job...I knew I would have to trick you a little with the photography to even make you pause on that. That one belonged to my mom...I love sliced egg sandwiches =o)
Comment: Hi Jeanette :-) . . . I like your postcard with the little yellow bud peeking out. Thanks very much! . . . .
You're the person I sent my one and only ever made assemblage box to for Sisters of the Holy Crap swap group that I briefly was a member of two years ago. (https://www.flickr.com/photos/gracesanford/15243946142/in/album-72157647611890442/) I sometimes wonder about it, if you still have it, etc.
Response: Hi Grace. Yes I do still have the Play assemblage box, though currently it's residing with my lovely niece who fell in love with it. (I still claim ownership =o) Thanks for your rating, and the flickr link...love your stamps.
Comment: Cool ATCs, Jeanette, thank you! We loved the envelope - my daughter held the mail on our way home and commented how cute the little nut family is. I have to see if I can't work them (and the big fella) into some mail art. Thanks for the cool stickers, too! We'll be going out to look at some houses tomorrow - we're all super-excited! :)
Response: Thank you...I just adored that little nut guy too =0) Good luck hunting!
Comment: Thank you so much for the outstanding photo card. They are so beautiful. I love the story about them too. I too love taking pictures of water as well. And as for the fabric...WOW it is very cool. I'll think on it for awhile about how to use it. Again, thanks for everything.
Response: Thank you! I knew that fabric I loved would find a good home with you =o)
Comment: Wow, I liked the big "eye" with the tentacles --- so friendly yet tentacular :) The painted canvas and "4" paperclip made the back as fun as the front. Oh, so tragic that there was not room for mangoes in the idiosyncratic rules!
Comment: Hearts x30! I love this button bracelet, and am wearing it right now! I have SO many buttons, this would be a delightful craft to make! Thank you for the "how to" booklet, another thing I will make. Stickles?!! My favorite, along with the papers, a big thank you!
Response: Oh yay..I love making them! You can make them smaller for a great napkin ring too =o) Let me know if you want any directions or tips =o) And thanks for the kind works.
Comment: I'm going to love working on your zine! Thank you for the absolutely wonderful goodies you sent along with it and I absolutely love your decorated envelope I'm going to use it in one of my journal pages! I'm also thrilled that you shared your "capture" with me! thanks for the photo of the mermaid!
Response: I knew you would be the perfect '1st' person...thank you! <3
Comment: Your lovely envelope was in quite a pile of wonderful mail today...I had such fun opening it! It was a bit like having a birthday with the different envelopes to open...I will be using them in a similar way to send off to my niece, she needs cheering up. The ATC is great with that cute little house...Thanks!
Response: Thank you Carroll...any excuse to use a fun envie is a good one =o) Hope you can cheer up your niece.
Comment: Hahaha! I love the postcard of Einstein saying what he surely looks like he could have been saying LOL. I'm putting this one out where I can enjoy it often. BTW, I love the "fussy cut" letters too. Thanks for the very cool zine too. You sure do have a lot of amazing street art surrounding you.
Response: Thank you! He must have been a pretty amazing guy =o)
Comment: What a great package of fun mailart! Many thanks so much for the thoughtful extras..! Both zines are fun, i really like your shots of the local graffiti... PS I have been gardening away like a gnome today and had the idea to plant some of your maple seeds, wonder if they will grow..?!
Response: Thank you Carroll. One of the best parts of living in a big city is the quantity of street art =o)
Comment: Adding garbanzo beans to cookies?! You've gone mad! (I just read through your zines and then the recipes. It's fresh in my mind.) Thank you so much for the zines, first off. I am also a big fan of Mr. Weebl and will have Narwhals stuck in my head for a while now. Love the Seattle street art as well. (: Thank you also for the recipes! They look amazing. I will let you know how I manage.
Response: I know...that was my first thought too but they came out really good, even my picky cookie purist son liked them. Do tell if you try them.
I want to see a narwhal. I have a contest with the other son to see the most different wild whales. The jerk just creeped ahead with some beluga sightings =oP
Comment: Thank you so much for the extra-special Inky package! My kids really enjoyed their treats (my son loved the pink bag for the dogs as well :) and I adore the colorful octopus art! What a way to brighten up this cooooold weekend -- thanks!
Response: Thank you for the fun swap! (I was hoping he was too young to care that the bag was pink but liked the drawstring =o) Have a great week.
Comment: Jeanette, what a lovely swap! I love the gooey duck pc. I've had it pass through my mail a few times. I may even have one tucked away for keeping. I have never tried it. Great cards. If I can get some time, I will answer your letter. Thank you:)
Response: I love that card too...I always keep one for myself. I would love to hear from you if you have the time. Thank you!
Comment: What a fun swap! You really didn't have to resend since "part 2" was so much fun! I love the teas, cappuccino and the wind chime. The part 1 froggy wind chime is awesome. You really did a great job. It was all profile related. Then, to make it even better, I love wind chimes and always look for unique ones. So, now I have 2 new wind chimes and one has a frog. If I could, I'd give you a ton more hearts. Thank you, thank you!!!!
Response: Thank you for being so sweet. I love my PO but they sure dropped it on this one.
I love wind chimes too so I am happy I could make you smile. Thanks!
Comment: My goodness, you spoiled me! At first, I couldn't see anything past that candy bar (greedy me!) but then I found the button flowers. How adorable they are! I'm going to keep them on my nightstand in a bud vase. Thank you so much, and also for taking the time to make such a neat, colorful instructions booklet. You deserve many hearts ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Response: I love making those flowers, pretty addictive =o)
Chocolate, caramel and salt...heck yeah <3
Comment: Ya, Its totally a 50/50 that someone else will either love the ATCs you pass on, or not...I've been surprised before about what ATCs my partners have liked from the ones I sent on...so I really love these swaps, even if I just end up keeping only one or two ATCs out of the pile :). Yay, another fabric lover...I won't lie, I rolled around in the fabric you sent before I even looked at the ATCs, you understand lol. Fabric is dangerous! I haven't quilted a whole lot, I usually make pouches and mostly kid stuff for all my nieces/nephews, but I've made a few easy strip quilts. Thanks so much for the ATC selection, the gorgeous butterfly ATC and the fabric...I was spoiled, yeeeee!
Response: Yep...I totally understand. I am happy to pass some along. I came across a sale today and picked up 8 yards of cotton for $8, some beautiful colors...yep a little giddy here too =o) Thanks!
Comment: I received the dotee a week or so ago, I rated but for some reason it never posted. Sorry about that. You definitely spent some time and thought on her. I have her hanging with the other two from this swap series. The pouch and the beads were nice extras, very thoughtful. Thanks for joining my swap!
Response: Thank you Donna....I have had the same thing happen. I am happy to hear she has a happy new home =o)
Comment: I always love getting ATC's from you. You come up with some of the silliest and neatest things. Also, very cool to get an envelope from you with the same ikea label stickers I used on your last letter! How fun! Thanks for sticking in the swap even though it was just the two of us. (:
Response: I loved those labels...I even just went to Ikea and bought 6 packs! This was a great swap...thank you!
Comment: Wow, what a fun package of goodies! The house is cute and I love the purple Lady Liberty necklace. Thanks also for the little Charley Harper cards. He is simply the BEST a capturing the essence of the animal. And I appreciate the vintage pansy stationery, the Year of the Monkey envies, and the fun sticker lettering you used. What a totally delightful package! Here are some extra hearts for you! <3 x 100
Response: Thank you...and thanks for the lovely note. I agree with you Harper draws the best birds =o)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcards, I particularly liked the Seattle and Oregon one, they were all nice though :) Thank you for the little cut outs you made, they are so pretty, they will be going in my journal :D I enjoyed reading what you wrote on your cards. I've not had a chance to visit America yet but hope to one day. Seeing all those birds must have been such a wonderful experience, and your note to a teenage self was inspiring. I also liked the zentangle you did for the doodle card :D Thank you for a great swap x
Response: Thank you! I am amazed how quickly everything got to you =o)
Comment: ♥ Thank you very much for the dolls. They remind me very much of "Miss Happiness and Miss Flower" a book my Mother read to us as a children that awoke a love of Japan. Wally and Søren appreciate the mention and send their love.
Response: Thank you for sharing this memory with me. I googled Miss Happiness and Miss Flower and it looks like a delightful book. Hugs
Comment: I love your Kite Dotee! And the mini letter was so cute. I can see using some of those buttons on dotees (the one that looks like a chinese hat caught my eye) or on a button fairy....thank you so much for this fun swap! I will be wrining you again soon....that's a threat...lol! I bought some disposable fountain pens and I just have to share.....
Response: I love your letters...they have made me step up my game =o) I am glad the kite arrived safely, the PO guy gave me a funny look mailing a pie slice container ha,ha.
Comment: OMG! OMG! This is am amazing swap! Not one, not two but THREE altered dominos I get! SQUEEEEE! They look awesome on my fridge. Great techniques on all of them. Then, the extras you sent for me took me over the top of the insanity! LOVE everything! Thank you for such a wonderful package of goodness!
Response: You know I live to make you 'SQUEEE' LOL Thank you!!
Comment: Can't thank you enough for these birds! I'm in love! I see they are going to get 'crazy cats'-so will wait for the dogs! thank you for beech tree cards. I too think they are lovely & the snow is their crown
Response: Ohhh cats? Really? I better start saving my pennies. Glad you loved the trees...I love them so.
Comment: Thanks for the collection of ATC! I am not really that "into" Zentangle. I have been drawing in a style similar to that for a long time and now its a thing?!?!?! LOL! Anywho, I have not tried the sheets that you are talking about. I will have to Google them! Thanks for joining!
Response: Thanks for the fun swap Fry. 'Doodling' is so 1970's! I guess you didn't get the memo ;) LOL
Comment: Jeanette, Thank you so much!!! It was like Christmas all over!!!! I love everything!!! The Dylusions ink spray(I didn't have these color) the alphabet stamps, spray bottle, Bird chipboard, punchanella(sp) and I Love your photos!!!! We don't have the swallow here and oh how I want to photograph an Eagle in the wild. Thank you again!! Happy swapping, Connie
Response: Oh my pleasure Connie. We stopped at one park in Alaska where there were about 50 eagles dining on salmon...it was almost like watching pigeons! LOL
Comment: WoW! Super fast shipping! I LOVE my lil critter cat Dotee! What a fabulous job you have done for your first ever Dotee! I am happy to be on the receiving end of this swap.
Be careful, these babies are very addictive!
Response: You are a doll....thank you for everything!
Comment: SQUEEEEEEE! Oh I love my box crammed wtih all the bits and bobbles! THe button bracelet is really cool. Love the totally awesome African luck charm and that dream box I can't wait to use. I am going to turn the crab into a fridge magnet. It is so prefect for me. Everything was! You did your home work! That means so much that you took the time to go over my profile. Ecspecially when on this swap it wasn't even a requirement. You da bomb baby! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Response: I totally love your response =o) And happy it all arrived safely. It helped that we have many likes in common. <3
Comment: Thank you! Both came through the mail just fine. They are both really good ideas. ......
I'm not doing any more shows this year. Sometime this month I will be in Ballard visiting my sister ~ will let you know when as soon as I know.
Response: Awesome. I would love to meet you for tea =o)
Comment: What a beautiful package filled with such wonderful thing So! I could gush about this forever! I. Saving the two wrapped gifts for my stocking, and I can't wait to start using all the rest of the goodies...and I'm REALLY looking forward to nibbling on the chocolate later tonight 😃
Response: I love Trader Joes and use any excuse to go in there LOL I am happy you are happy with the box and hope you find most of it useful =o)
Comment: Wonderful, wonderful cards as always. (and completely on the same note, awesome pen pal pack. I am over the moon, it was all so up my alley. I'll be getting something cool sent back to you as time allows!) Thank you! (:
Comment: Your non-lost card arrived today! Thank you so much for the cool anatomy PC. Usually, I'm not this jazzed about a PC with "anus" on it. And, yes, I do remember a lot of my GA to AK trip. This was in '84, so I did not have any gadgets to distract me from the ride. The Grand Canyon really stands out. Is your son in the military at Ft. Richardson? I will let you know if/when your lost cards arrive. Thanks again!
Response: I hoped you would find that card interesting =o) We spent a lot of our trip listening to stories on tape and watching for animals. Our son works for the US geological service in Anchorage.
Comment: Jeanette I wish I could give you 10 hearts. I love the variety of cards you sent, I especially love the little spoon. You have no idea how special that is to me. I hope you have a wonderful week.
Response: Awe thank you for the kind works. I read how special they are to you and that one has been sitting on my desk for the last year so I knew it was meant to go live with you. Big hugs.
Comment: Guess what I got today? Two gorgeous tryptichs! Beautiful and fun watercolor Suns. I will be sending one of them back to you. The sea glass and rocks are so very cool. I love the Washington coast, but only in the summer, too cool for me in the other months. The one tryptich came in a plastic body bag, only the tattered envelope and the ATC was in it along with a letter of apology from the post office. I have had several of those lately. The second one was in fine shape.thank you for a wonderful swap. I always love your work.
Response: Africa? You do live a charmed life! Take it easy on your shoulder and have a blast! Thank you!-----------------
Oct 14th....weird that this already had a response...hummm. I'm glad they both showed up. Yes the water here is cold, someday I will make it to Florida =o) Thanks!
Comment: Thank you so much for the swearsy cards! They are crude and creative both. I would be more than happy to do a private swap for any of the ones you have missed. (: The bonus Jeb ATC is AMAZING too thank you so much, you have no idea how much he made my day !
Response: Isn't it amazing when we find this little well of crudeness in ourselves? LOL I had been meaning to send you a Jeb care so getting you as a partner was fortuitous =o) Thank you!
Comment: Thanks for the engaging and imaginative PC! I would love to see that as well!!!! We just had 2 people here from the USGS installing a Volcano Particle Monitor in our back yard. Pretty darn cool and interesting too! I am home after a week in Kodiak and that is always a wonderful feeling! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: What a cool thing to have in your backyard...well the thought of it is cool anyways =o) I hope they share their results with you. Welcome back home!
Comment: Ah, the Zodiac Killer - I have read several books about him. While someone has claimed to have cracked the code for one of his letters, it has never been confirmed by the authorities. I am afraid he will go down in history unidentified, along with the likes of Jack the Ripper. Bah! Thanks for the PC! (";)
Response: I'm sorry it arrived in two pieces but I am happy they both made it to you. I think the 'someone' you are talking about was a man outing his father. I agree, I think he will be one of those never identified. Thanks!
Comment: I'm surprised , I am speechless, what a fantastic swap 've sent me and so generous. Every minute of unpacking was a feast. I hope you're not offended, but I can give you only one little heart, thank you very much! Big hug ♥ Stella.
Response: Hi Stella. I am very happy you can use much of what I was able to stuff into that poor envelope. I so wish international postage was not so much, I had some grand ideas. Thank you for the kind words and thoughts <3
Comment: Very cool Abstract PC. Thanks You. I really like how you did the darker colors on one side and the lighter colors on the other. Very cool effect. :)
Also the ghost story gave me chill bumps...I loved it! ♥
Response: Thank you...the card was very fun to make and I love the thought of my Dad's 'spirit' still hanging around =o)
Comment: Well wasn't this a nail biter? LOL I don't know what was more fun, the bird (and back up surprise) or the mystery as to where the bird disappeared off to...cue Twilight Zone *here*. Sure was fun!!!
Response: Ah the mystery continues....the bird was the replacement...glad at least it arrived =o)
Comment: Wow wow wow!!! All I can say is, I am blown away by your generosity and thoughtfulness! I love everything you sent, especially the vintage buttons and rusty nuts and bolt! And the Deli flower kit you sent, with the homemade booklet along with samples and supplies and vintage book too!!! Oh my gosh... You totally made my
day! Thank you so much!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜»ðŸŒž
Response: Your comments make me really happy Susie....I'm glad I brought a smile to your face. Reading your profile we could be kindred spirits =o)
Comment: Jeanette, your swap made me fall in love with swapping all over again! Thank you for your kind note, the inspiring paper treasures AND your hand stitched zine. I wish I could add more hearts. Cheers! :o)
Response: Thank you for your sweet note. Swappings mission is to bring a smile to your partners face!
Comment: I'll be delighted to add to your card! Thank you for sending it along. It is taking me awhile to draw out my cloissone pattern. I have to do that, so I can measure the length of wire I need to purchase.
Response: I'd love to see a picture when you are finished. Happy crafting and thank you =o)
Comment: Thank you so much! The sugar skull ATC is really beautiful!
Jeanette, thank you so so much for your generosity and adding the gorgeous snap pockets! I love them and can't wait to put them to use! That was incredibly sweet of you, I am very touched by your kindness and thoughtfulness! I am so lucky to have had you as a swap partner! Thank you!
Response: I am so happy it arrived safely and am glad you can use the snap things...I thought they were cute =o)
Comment: Oh,Jeanette-what wonderfulness arrived today in two packages-certainly made my day. Such thought went into it-all the things I love and in a teal colored bottle! Love the bracelet and it fits perfect. Such cute little scottie dogs and POE bandaids-you were really nice to me and paperdolls-been awhile since I added to my collection-thanks for being a super swap partner!
Response: I'm thrilled it all arrived safely. So many things for that jar just popped into place so were meant to be with you =o)
Comment: Sorry for the late rate. I absolutely love the Doodle Bomb Postcard, and the lovely photos you sent to me. Thank you! Your trip to Alaska sounded wonderful. My mom was born in Douglas.
Response: We took a cruise to Alaska many years ago. I remember being on a hillside in Juneau and looking across to Douglas. It seemed really remote until our driving trip when you could go hours without seeing any one or signs of humanity. Thanks for the comment!
Comment: What a fun package!! Everyone in the office was a-buzz about the container. So I opened it there. Thanks for the adorable windchime and all the fun things inside. I love everything and will make good use of it! One coworker loved a bookmarker so I gave it to her. The other two I will abandon for you. Thanks for making this an extra special surprise :D.
Response: I agree that was a nice box LOL Thanks for abandoning for me and I'm happy you liked your crappy chime =o)
Comment: WOW, you really took this swap to a whole new level. I never would have thought of putting the entire book on the back of the frame. That's what I love about swapping...always a new idea:) Thank you also for the DOD matchbox---love it. Thank you for sharing your talent with me!!!
Response: Hi Lu. The project in my mind and the way the project turned out were so completely different ha, ha. But I am happy you are happy and it was such a fun swap. =o)
Comment: I love your sugar skull ATC so much! Thank you for sharing your talent with me. I love your note and cloudy notecard! Thank you for the cool koi postcard and cute cat stickers! I hope you get some cooler weather soon!
Response: Thank you...I really liked making that ATC too. It's a little cooler this weekend and at least I can do some laundry LOL
Comment: Thank yo u for a Georgia O'Keeffe inspired card. The note was wonderful as well as the extras! I met my hubby when my boss introduced us. He said he knew his first wife a short time too. He just knows what he wants.
Response: You gotta love a man who knows his mind =o) Thank you!
Comment: OMG- your card is so beautiful as it is. It will be hard to figure out how to add to it. Wish I had that kind of talent. Thanks for sharing. I know what you mean about getting them home. It seems to take a long time. I will add to and pass yours along in the next round. Thank you for the extras. Love the postcards.
Response: Awww you are so sweet. I look forward to seeing what you decide to add. Thank you!
Comment: Squeeeeeeal!! What a wonderful surprise to get almonds from Seattle! Thank you so much for thinking of my birthday when sending me your swap! That is truly thoughtful of you! Thank you for braving Pike's! I know how crowded and crazy it can get! (For future reference, I wouldn't mind some of that chocolate from the chocolatier you work with! You know, in case you get me for another swap around my birthday! wink wink!) LOL! Thank you again and have a great summer! I hope you have (or had) a wonderful birthday!
Response: I'm so glad they arrived safely...I was worried cuz it's been so hot here. It was fun to have an excuse to head downtown. We will have to hope for a christmas swap as that's the only time we do chocolate =o)
Comment: What a great assortment of goodies! Thank you so much! Orange and lilac are both my favorite colors AND my favorite scents so this swap was right up my alley - surprised me how difficult it ended up being, though. Thanks again, and happy swapping! <3
Response: Thank you for the kind rating. Now that I think about it I love orange and lilac scents too =o)
Comment: Loved them! I will be running more of these. And very glad to hear your menfolk ride proper motorbikes, not US ones.... ;-). We have two Yamahas and a Honda at the moment. Plus a Kawasaki in pieces lol. I'm a Triumph lover myself xx
Response: Ha, ha. When people say 'biker' I expect Harleys. Our house has a KLR, a couple of suzukis, a yamaha, and a bike with so many pieces replaced they have named it Frankenbike. "Back in the day" I owned a Honda but now am content to ride in back =o) I look forward to the next in the series.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful cards. I think you are an awesome photographer. My biggest problem will be giving them away. I will save them for my favorite friends. I plan on doing a lot of swimming and visiting with my grandsons this summer
Response: Thank you so much Sherry for the kind words. I too love picture cards and tend to hoard them. The best part about digital photography is you can easily reprint a specific photo.
Comment: Hi Jeanette, I had such a fun time opening my swap from you! First, the picture of the lady on the floor on her elbows with the blocks just cracked me up! I just love quirky pictures. And I just love the fabric you sent me! I can't wait to put it to use! Thank you so much.
Response: Hi Gretchen. That lady with the blocks name is Ruth. I bought her high school yearbook at a sale and that was one of the pictures stuffed inside. I think I might want to know her. =o)
Comment: I love your postcard...it is a sad day when I get no mail...you just feel lost. And what's even sadder is if the only mail is a silly junk postcard you're happy for that scrap. I always try to find something on junk mail to cut out for collage fodder:) Thanks for the great card and I'll have to check with my PO for the stamp you used...love i! They don't do many engraved ones anymore. Need to stock up on that one. Take care. Brenda PS did you put the pink on the flower or does it come that way....?
Response: It makes me sad to think that some day we might not even get mail any more. I hope that never happens!
I adore those embossed stamps, they hold color really well so I color every one...even the ones on bills =o) Thank you for the note!
Comment: I was just today thinking about how hard my "initialY" would be and bingo, a wonderful surprise from you. I love them both. I have a bird of all kinds collection and also trinket boxes. Many hearts. Thank you
Response: Oh good...I love that little chicken too, so sad he didn't have a friend =o)
Comment: Very nice pics! I'm glad you sent yours early - I was gong to leave my back blank, but now you gave me the idea to add pics to both sides! Thanks for the great pics and the TEA! Happy swapping!
Response: It's really all about me...I love taking pictures and sharing them. Your love of water just helped me along =o) Thank you!
Comment: This is an absolutely fabulous configuration! I love your interpretation of play - the little paint set, the book page scrolls, the atc backs - it's all perfect! I have a thing for rocks, so I think that is my favorite compartment. Thank you for such a creative and well done swap!
Response: Traci I am so happy you liked it. I wanted it to be useful. I love rocks too, we just returned from vacation at the beach with a shopping bag full, some to paint on but most I will have to find a place for =o)
Comment: I particular love zines that teach me new crafts so this was a particular pleasure to receive and read! And beautifully made too -- thank you so much. I hope you'll join my May zine swap. And thanks too for the postcards and the recipe!
Response: I love sharing new crafts, thank you for the lovely comments.
Comment: Thank you for joining my swap! Getting a swap from you is like getting a birthday present every time! ☺ ♥ ☺ I love "Zucchini Overload". Cooking Lite magazine once declared the need for "Sneak some Zucchini onto your neighbor's back porch" as being a needed holiday. :D
Response: Aww you are so sweet! I love that holiday idea. The last few years we have been out of town when they ripen so our 'lucky' neighbors get to deal with them anyways ;)
Comment: Like it? I LOVE it! The dress book is fascinating as I am addicted to Tudor/Elizabethan history and appreciate the historical clothing!!! The silk purse is an inspiration: I have dozens of ties and may start making some of those myself! And the bookmark is charming - so above-and-beyond with this one: thanks again! <3
Comment: Wow, great minds...I made an ATC with an Asian dialect too. Not sure if Korean or Japanese, but pages from a hymnal I scored recently at a garage sale. Thanks for both ATC's. Loved the blooms on a book page. Used them for my journal today. Will take a pic and send to you. Also, plan on participating in the Decorated Envie swap. Thanks for the invite. Happy Swapping!
Response: An asian hymnal? What a cool find! I found a hebrew calligraphy guide yesterday. I look forward to seeing your journal page. =o)
Comment: Hi J, thank you for your lovely art , the flower and jar stamps. I love it. I also like your little note about the little libraries 😊 I don t know these abandonment cards but I love the idea! I guess it s my lucky day to found one in my mail. 📮
Response: I had not heard about abandoned art either so I looked it up on facebook. I am now working on some of my own art to abandon =o)
Comment: Well, well, well.... I am taken aback by the awesomeness of your package! Sent in a lunchbox, impressive! Thank you soooo much for the cool contents, The sea glass tile is so amazing! I don't live near the coast anymore, but even when I did, nothing cool like this stuff washed up! ♥
Response: I am so glad everything arrived fine. There are a few beaches here where the ocean is reclaiming it's beaches and has for many years, it eats houses and plants alike and spits back smooth garbage...fun =o)
Comment: When I saw it sitting on my chair I started laughing....wish I could have seen Jack's face when he got it out if the mailbox. Too cute! Thanks so much.
Response: You wouldn't believe the hassle the 'new' mail guy gave me about mailing it 'naked'. I kept insisting that yes I could mail it as is, the old clerk just looked at me, saw who it was and just smiled. I'm glad it made it ok, did the tracking sticker stay on the tummy? Did they put it in a bag as they threatened?
Comment: Hiya! Thanks for the cards from Alaska AND Hawaii. That was so sweet of you to send both!!! I've been to both places and they are both so magical in their own ways. I am aching to go back... especially to Alaska. I hope you get to go someplace fun again soon!
Have a good one!
Response: Thank you...I agree they are both magical. I could probably live in Alaska if not for the bugs LOL
Comment: Thank you for a beautiful postcard of lots of snow. You did the right thing by only visiting a few places in your Australian vacation. Next time you may be able to see the west, south or centre.
Response: We didn't get any snow this year...I think I may have been missing it. Next time we visit your country we want to rent a camper van and take a month or two =o)
Comment: Absolutely one of the better swaps I have received for 2015 :) Thank you for the wonderful ATC - I need to check out 'Me and my Houlton' to see the inspiration for this nifty artwork. The lovely note - you made me smile from ear to ear. Thank you for the author references and the Derwent inktense blocks sound great! All the little extras - swoon. Thank you for being a fantastic swap partner - you made my day :) :) :)
Response: Thank you! The images of those little trees bugged me till I was able to get it on paper =o)
Comment: What wonderful zine! It's funny because I just heard of zentangles last week, and someone had to explain to me what they were. I was totally intrigued, and then I got your entangle coloring book! I also LOVE the map, and the pretty drawing on the envelope. Thank you!
Response: I am just learning zentangles myself. There are some great tutorial sites on-line. Thanks!
Comment: First of all thanks for your kind wishes for my mom, thankfully she is feeling better :) I loved your photos, beautiful sights! I can't imagine how captured that goat :) Oh and thanks for the extra teas,I'm excited to try them :) Thanks again for everything!
Response: Funny story about the goat, we had just came over a hill and saw the sun setting and stopped the car so I could snap a picture. Days later I looked at the picture on the computer and saw the goat! Checking the map it seems that there was a goat farm (ranch?) just below where we stopped. Guess he was enjoying the sunset too.
Good news on your mom =o)
Comment: Hi Jeanette! First let me say the envelope was FANTABULOUS! I thought surely it was a mail art swap . . . I love the pants on fire quip. On to the photos . . . wow . . . you did a great job. I, too, have plenty of junk in my trunk so we're in GOOD COMPANY! Loved them all but the whales were just brilliant! What a treat! Thank you very much for sharing. Such fun for me to open!
Response: I loved to share my love of whales with you. That one Alaska boat trip we were our for about 7 hours and I took over 100 pictures, at least half were of whales. =o)
Comment: Thanks for the unique card. The postal system beat it up a little and oddly enough the butterfly and round design stayed with the card even though they were not physically attached. It is like the static cling kept them together.
Funny how much we have in common. We would probably be fast friends if we didn't live across country from each other. I visited the Seattle area about 10 years ago and had a great time!!
Response: I always view putting naked things into the mail as a leap of faith, will they arrive? Will they be battered? Intact? I love that the attachments remained together. Come back to Seattle for a visit =o) This week pre-superbowl is really exciting around here.
Comment: Happy New Year! & what a Glorious Swap! Thank you so much….. I love the card and can't wait to add GLITZ and GLITTER to it & the Giraffe and mom card is just TOO PRECIOUS….. I LOVE IT….and the ZENTANGLED card too….wow many many HEARTS to you…….
Response: It was an interesting card to work on....it took many days of thought. I wish we could see them all in their finished states =o) Happy 2015
Comment: LOVE the package you sent! Thank you for such a pretty card and extras (very cute embellishments and air mail envies!!!). Also thank you for ALL the time you took to wrap everything. I originally put everything in my stocking, but couldn't help myself and over a period of a few days (rough days actually) I opened them all and they added such cheer and joy! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the thought and care you put into this package and will put to good use EVERYTHING you sent! Let me know if you would like to do a private care package swap in 2015. I think that would be fun. :o) Merry Christmas!
Response: Oh I am so happy the little treats could bring you joy, it made me happy packing things for you. LOL I couldn't wait to open mine either. Yes I am always up for a private swap. Happy Holidays and I hope your days become less rough.
Comment: thank you so much for my altered journal! I totally love it very much! I love especially the big key on the inside with the ribbon and the old key on the cover! You did a great job!, I already started using it! I appreciate it...happy holidays and happy new year! Love & peace, el
you did a really excellent job and you're very creative I also love the pockets and the big and different kinds of paper clips you attach! I already started using it! Lol...it fits me perfectly thanks again and happy holidays to you!!!!!
Love & peace....el
Response: Wonderful! I am so happy when something I create make some one happy...you made my day =o)
Comment: WOW Jeanette! So Spectacular! I love your Klimt tree Postcard-so clever, and the flowers made it thru the post just fine! But thank you for the wonderful envie of RAK goodies, I was oohing and awwing at everything I pulled out! You clearly put a lot of thought and time into picking out those goodies for me and making your postcard! Those pressed flower stickers are really special and I love the Butterfly & Daisy stickers, the corner rub ons are fab, as are the square chip board pieces and the ephemera! I cant wait to use them in my crafts and I love the lil flowers you sent as extras for the postcard, I will use them for mail art too! Spectacular-made my day! :)
Response: Thank you for exposing me to the Klimt's tree. Now I want to make one for myself too =o)
Comment: Hi Jeanette, Thanks for the PC of the old steamship... I like boats and I'd love to go on a working ship, as a passenger.
I have NO desire to go on a cruise. I tell people that the only mode of travel that would take me where I want to go is a time machine. I can't think of anything worse than going to Paris for example, and seeing a Starbucks on one corner & a MacDonalds on the other. Love armchair travel though!!
Response: I'm with you. I want to see places as they used to be, not a pyramid next to a bazaar or a Sistine chapel next to Walmart. Thank you.
Comment: Oh my goodness!!! Thank you so very much! I'm looking forward to using the journal, lovely tags, and airmail embellishments! I love your photos and the stickers! Thank you again fir a beautiful package!
Response: Thank you Naomi, it tickles me to think of your students working harder for those stickers LOL
Comment: Jeanette- thank you for the black canyon pc! I love it! Thank you for sharing your camping trip with me! And that was meant all for you to experience first! You will be getting a message from me about the postcards! Thank you!
Response: It was truly a unexpected surprise as we stopped there just overnight on our way further south. I need to plan a trip to actually explore that area more. Thanks =o)
Comment: GORGEOUS postcard, Jeanette. I think the little girl is reacting to my disheveled face after yanking her out of the mailbox so violently. That's my theory.... You really took the time to read my profile. You are a thoughtful swapper for sure! :)
Response: A much better synopsis than my scared theory. Hugs =o)
Comment: Thanks for the Maine postcard. I love Maine. You have to go there one day. Eat some Lobstahhh! Thanks for participating in the ALS challenge and letting me know. Pretty darn cool of you!! :) Leanne
Response: I hope to get there someday, it looks so pretty. Thank you.
Comment: He IS a soulful cat! Soo this town of Talkeetna, Alaska's mayor is a CAT? I need. to. live. there! Aand he was sleeping? LOL for sure. I am very interested in this. And all cats. It's actually sad, I now have 3 and my husband's mom has recently aquired to kittens, Mia & RJ (Regular Joe) mostly because I'm the crazy cat lady, it seems to be rubbing off. Get your hubby some Zyrtec and get some cats!!! Tis the key to happiness ha ha. Take care swap friend, Ally
Response: Yes a cat...look him up on Wikipedia his name is Stubbs. I think he is getting up there in years so sleeps a lot. We did try drugs and hubby was still gasping like a stranded fish...someday. LOL
Comment: Wow!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful package!! I love everything! You put so much thought into this swap and absolutely made my day ^_^ The books are fantastic! I'm especially excited for the Finnish version 'Trojan Odyssey' by Clive Cussler ^_^ Fantastic!! And I love the shaker! How thoughtful! Everything is wonderful and I wish I could give you a million hearts >_<
Response: Aww...thank you! I have to admit some of the books almost didn't make it into your box, I think they were cool too. I'm so happy I could make your day...you made mine =o)
Comment: WOW---I'm a lucky girl! I got two mousetrap message clips!!! I'm not sure which is my favorite, 'cuz I love them both!! Thanks for reading my profile and sending me "crap" for my bottlecap art!!
Response: Thanks for the fun swap Lu. I never would have thought of using mousetraps to make art!
Comment: Wow, your photo's are lovely- Cannon Beach & Haystack rock was our favorite camping location when we lived in Seattle. And those Rocks in Idaho- I'd like to see that some time. Very cool, I will be doing some reading on those. The photo mounting, background, etc. on a card is top quality. I don't think I could ever send them away! Did you ever buy Haystack bread at the Canon Beach bakery? Yum!
Response: Thank you Kathleen...it helps to have a great subject =o)
Comment: Thank you so much for the card. I LOVE IT. I have seen this set online and have been curious about it. Now I know what one of the cards looks like. :) Nice to meet another mermaid kindred spirit. :) I probably wouldn't give up my mermaid tail for a prince, but maybe I would for a princess. ;)
Response: Message me if you want another of the Fox cards, I think they are fun too but not every ones cup of tea. The princess would have to be very special, you wouldn't want to give up a perfectly good tail for just any one ;o)
Comment: Hello Jeanette! Love the beautiful postcard you send to me for the swap - Japanese PC showing woman in kimono. Also, thank you for PC view of Vintage Place De La Bastille, Paris. Yes, I've been to Paris - back in Spring 1970!
Comment: Jeanette, you are so creative! The PC really was so well done. Thank you for including my interests in the story. Now I want to do more of these swaps! You are super awesome. I <3 pie! Love, Tiffany
Response: Thank you Tiffany...I bought that card before I had thought up a story, after days of stressing over a story I dreamt about that old nursery rhyme and it came to me. I am with you, now I want to do more of these swaps =o)
Comment: Thanks for the card! Sounds like we do have a lot in common. I hope you have the chance to explore wyo someday--it's a neat state. I grew up in port townsend so I know washington too is gorgeous.
Response: Thank you. We spent the day visiting family in Port Ludlow and caught a few garage sales in Port Townsend. It's a beautiful town and would be a great place to grow up.
Comment: Beautiful photography. I can't thank you enough. You do excellent work. My favorite is the sunlight coming through the trees. I haven't even given this swap a lot of thought yet. Been wrapped up doing sewing ones now. Thanks again.
Response: Thank you so much. As you can see I had a hard time deciding which ones to send. The light through the trees is a special favorite moment for me, it's amazing when a picture looks just like the actual scene. Happy Spring, and beautiful skies.
Comment: Thank you so much! :) I love everything..the swan, the snacks (which were JUST in time for a camping trip with the children), the lovely tea cup and saucer...we are playing and enjoying the cd's, and the book will be devoured too I am sure. ;) Thank you very much again! ♥
Response: Thank you Tressa. I hope your camping trip was a great success. You have my admiration keeping up with such a big flock =o)
Comment: Jeanette!!! Words can't even begin to describe how amazing your package is! Thank you so so so much for everything, I love it! It's definitely a nice treat for dead week (next week is finals, so the week before is known as "dead week" because everyone's dead from studying.) I wish I could give you multiple hearts! :)
Response: Hooray. I do remember my kids going through dead week, I hope you get to enjoy a little down time.
Comment: Jeanette, your package was a delight to receive. If I could give you more than one heart, I would. I truly appreciate the thought and effort you put into it, your kind words, and loved your colouring book zine. I see tiny meditative colouring in my future. Thank you so much. :D
Response: Thank you Teli. You were a fun partner to get to send to. I think I may have a new mini zine addiction =o)
Comment: I've never had such a big smile on my face as today! I felt extremely spoilt and am absolutely in love with every single item, I feel as though you captured everything I love in one envelope!! Asia and Christmas and stickers, have I died and gone to heaven? Thank you so much for every single beautiful item wonderful woman!! :D 1000 hearts! UPDATE : Also received a humorous and interesting postcard from this lovely lady today which the entire family LOVED! Right up our alley ! Thank you so much, I shall treasure it!
Response: I am so happy! I loved reading your profile (I think cats rule too) and hope we can connect again in the future =o)
Comment: Wow!!!!! Your package is amazing!!! I don't even know where to start :) I love everything!!! Me lovely surprise after another :) I'm so excited to use the lovely envelopes and the coins will be a perfect addition to my collection :) I could go on and on... You outdid yourself! Thank you so very much :) and I'm glad you enjoyed looking at my dolls :) Happy camping and geocaching! Hope I get the chance to swap with you on the flip side :)
Response: Thank you Sarah...what a fun swap.I too hope to connect with you again sometime =o)
Comment: Thanks for your postcard. I always try to find out more about the items/postcards I receive. It's an amazing statue and I've found a picture on the internet of it with less chains!
Response: I'm so glad you liked that picture. Did you look at pictures of the inside of that church on the internet? It's so beautiful. That orange cat was sleeping on the alter the day we visited too.
Comment: Thank you! The card is just amazing :D I've seen a picture of this card somewhere before and now I have it myself, how cool!
Edit 29.1. WOW! Two cards! Just got the other, the Pumpkin one, this is so cool too! :)
Response: Hi! I had never seen that image before and found it a little creepy but in a Nightmare Before Christmas kind of way. I'm so happy you liked it.
