Comment: Thank you for the card with the Jaguars at the Fort Worth Zoo. We don't have any here. The cats our little zoo has are 3 lions, 2 mountain lions, 1 bobcat, 2 Sumatran tigers with 4 cubs (5 months old).
Comment: Fallon, I love the card with Grant's Tomb and the bi-plane flying over it! I agree, it has to be pretty old, especially with the stamp prices it has on it: 1 cent domestic, 2 cents foreign. Thanks so much for sharing such a treasure with me!!
Comment: Thank you so much for the holiday card and NYC postcard! It's awesome! I interned at an NYC theatre the summer of 1984 so the city holds a special place in my heart - despite the fact that I was there before Times Square was cleaned up ;-) I love it when I read about what it was like then vs. now and I know that I was there.Thank you again!
Comment: Hi Fallon, Fascinating to receive your card and read about Mothman. Australia has many mythical beings, Bunyip, Yowie and Drop Bear, to name a few. Not to mention beings from our first nations people as well. Thanks!
Comment: What a wonderful selection of attractions - the waterfalls PC is just gorgeous and the Blanchard Spring Caverns is very interesting. . . and who can resist a carousel!! Thanks again for the wonderful selection and hope to see you in future swaps ~~
Comment: Thank you for the journal! I'm sorry for rating so late, but something came up unexpectedly and therefore I didn't get a chance to access my mailbox for the past two weeks...
I love your taste in music as we seem to like the same songs & artists ♥ But even though I really like all the detailed drawings, I wish you would have written down the entire lyrics as some of the songs I didn't know yet, so it would have been great to get to know them. At least to me that's what the swap was all about...
Response: Hi! Thank you for the rating. Yes, I think that I misunderstood the swap :( for whatever reason, it registered in my head as just writing a particularly meaningful lyric and didn't actually occur to me that it meant to write the whole song until I received my partner's journal and had long since sent it off. If there is anything that you would like for me to do to make it up to you, please don't hesitate to ask.
Comment: Thanks Rachel for the beautiful Arkansas cliff hiking with sunset postcard. The postman saw me walking towards the gate from the side of the house but he still threw the postcard over the gate.Luckily it wasnt raining today, else i might be decoding your message.. Xixixiix
Comment: Hi Rachel! Today I found your letter in my mailbox. Thank you very much! I really enjoyed reading it. And I absolutely love the cute Christmas card with the owl on it :-) The letter paper is also great. And I will definitely write back as soon as I can. It probably can take some days as I will be away on vacation for a few days now.
Comment: Finally received your photos! Thank you! ^^
Response: Oh, gosh. I'm so glad that they finally arrived after all of that! I was really worried that these wouldn't be delivered either. Thank you again for your patience and for the generosity of still rating a 5.
Comment: Aww wow! Thank you so so much for my amazing package :D I loved them all <3 love American candy and really loved the peanut butter chocs (p.s what make are they?) X hehe my 1st Peep too and was very yummy like Fluff inside :D cute eggs too x wish I could give more <3s xxx
Response: You're certainly welcome! I'm glad you like it :D Umm... oh gosh. Trying to remember about the chocolate. It was most likely Reeses but I don't quite recall. Thank you so much for the heart!
Comment: I've thought long about whether to rate this swap a 3 or a 5, and I feel I must honestly rate a 3. For Week 3 we were to send a letter and include a recipe. However, I received a recipe with a quick written note on the bottom. When I brought it to your attention, you apologized and sent one (thank you!) with Week 4's blank postcard. But then 6 days after Week 5 should have been sent, you messaged (thank you!) to apologize that you'd inadvertently left it on your desk and said you'd mail with Week 6's mailing and they should both arrive at the same time. That was fine with me since Week 6 was scheduled to be mailed the next day, Jan. 21st. However, I received Weeks 5 and 6 in the same envelope on Feb 5th, and it wasn't postmarked Jan. 21st or even a few days after that, but was postmarked January 31st. And yet you marked this swap as Sent on Jan. 22nd - the postal metered stamp indicates it was sent Jan. 31st. I do really appreciate your communications regarding Week's 3 mishap and Week 5's, however. But for not mailing when you indicated you would, and marking the swap Sent 9 days before it actually was, I feel I should rate a 3.
Response: I understand. I did put it in the mail on the day that I marked it sent, so I don't know why it took that long to go out. It might have been the campus postal service. Since I send from our dorm's mailboxes, sometimes the sent mail gets overlooked I think. That might have been what happened because that's rather strange. In any case, I apologize for the late arrival and thank you for your patience. Your rating is justified and I appreciate your generosity in even giving me a 3 after all of that.
Comment: Thank you for the card! (It had a sticker from the post office telling me they had to "correct" the address and to please let the sender know. Peeling it off and seeing what you wrote, though, I have no idea what their problem is. Maybe their automatic sorting machines don't like your handwriting? I guess whatever it was is why it took a bit longer than usual to get to me, but I got it in the end and that's the important bit.)
Comment: Haha, what a funny coincidence! Actually, when I pulled your letter out of my mailbox, I thought, that the name sounded familiar ... anyway, thank you for a wonderful letter! I enjoyed reading very much and I'll be certainly writing back soon and flood you with information about me! :D Watch out for some fat mail in your mail box. :)
Comment: Hi Rachel, Got your cards over here in Ukraine. Giving you a heart just because you are from L.R. I have one daughter in Conway and one in N.L.R. Small world item. Been to both spots on your cards.
Happy New Year. May we swap again.
Comment: Received your email, thanks! And thank you for including the links where you could. I look forward to checking them out -- while I've heard of some of the artists, I don't recognize some of the songs, so look forward to hearing them.
Comment: Wow - your good deed was definitely good. Thank you for being so candid and I must say that I enjoyed learning so much about you. LOVED your drawings and ending scene. Thanks for joining this swap. Hopefully you'll be able to participate in part 2 <3 <3
