Comment: Carrie Jean, I absolutely love the card you sent (big house with the porches on it!) Thank you! Autumn weather was here for a few days but is back to summer in Titusville, for now anyways. lol Have a wonderful day!
Comment: Thank you o much for the beautiful Jetoy PC and your note! I've never been able to grow plants of any kind but my grandfather could grow tomatoes and roses so plenteous they would almost bend the plants over to the ground. I've always envied those people with green thumbs. Have a wonderful day!
Comment: Wow, your cheery letter arrived on what's been a very trying day in the classroom, so thanks! Feels all uphill for me currently. The tuck-in are awesome; I especially like the Bob sticker! Great swap!
Comment: You should have heard me when I opened up your envelope. I gasped! I love what you sent. Thank you! Enjoy your weekend. I hope you watch something good. We will trying the new Cinderella on Amazon!
Comment: I love it, thank you!!! With my "me" time, I have way too many things I like to do - read, beadweaving, make greeting cards/notecards, catch up on some binge watching, play video games...this often results in me being stressed out that I don't have enough me time. It's a never ending cycle! :)
Comment: OMG, you deserve extra hearts! Not only did you add a cookie to my PC 🍪😁 but you also sent it written on and in an envie (hardly anyone reads that far down my profile page)….AND….wait for it….you mailed it using Star Wars postage stamps! YOU’RE AWESOME. I’m so grateful and impressed! Thank you for participating in the swap and being a real sender of the happiest of mail! 😉 BOLO something special sent your way soon.
Comment: What a beautiful card you sent me! We have a cute deli with fresh food and it's in a old house! SO relaxing, you can eat outside too. I am an artist on canvas. The note card is too cute! Great swap! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postalette! I haven’t been doing much penpalling as of late, but I started around 2016. Now, I spend all my free time manipulating yarn. Mainly, I crochet but I also knit, Tunisian crochet, and machine knit (but flat and circular). I hope you all have a safe yet fun time socializing and learning 😃
Comment: You are so amazing. I absolutely love everything!!!!!! Goodness where to start... All the vintage papers and the map are so great! The harry potter postcard is seriously one of my favorite scenes of Hermione raising her hand so high! And the cactus envie is so perfect and I am so excited to send the chicken card to my 12 year old cousin... She's obsessed with chickens. :) You spoil me with the unused postage.. so pretty!!! And the cute little owl envelope filled with succulent stickers, I just can't get enough!!!!! You are seriously the best and you totally made my day!!! I can't wait to add my new goodies into my journal!! 💙💙💙
Comment: Thanks for the witchy cat PC! Black cats with green eyes are my favorite. I always wanted one until my cat Judas fell into my possesion, who happens to be just that. I love finding people on here with similar tastes too! Lately I've been getting back into ATCs and HMPCs, but I really need to practice making resin projects more! I bought all the supplies and then my ADHD kicked in and I lost interest... lol!
Comment: Thank you! I loved GoT at first, but the last couple of season were just okay. I agree that the last season felt rushed, like they had the ending, but didn't have any idea how they were going to get there. I wish they would create a re-do season and try again!
Comment: Hi Carrie! Your nc was so cute, as were the stickers you used to decorate on the inside! So sweet of you to send so many goodies - thanks a ton! I moved to IL when I was a sophomore in high school but lived in MO which is right across the river, so always in the Midwest - so tons of heat and humidity here - yikes! My oldest moved to CO and after visiting two years in a row, I am ready for low to no humidity! LOL! I have heard it is so expensive to live in CA and one has to live within their means, so... That is great that you still visit WI and MN frequently, so you get to enjoy all that each area has to offer! Wishing you all the best in the new school year (masks or on-line teaching?) and please stay safe! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you so much for the "chunk"! What an awesome shape! I had no idea that could be sent through the mail. I'm glad you sent it, because it inspires me to be more creative with my chunks of cardboard! :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely card! How was the beach? Hot here too...my poor plants are burning up! I love the notecard and goodies! Thank you for being an educator! You seem so busy!! I started painting with acrylics 4 yrs ago and still love it! You will too! Thanks again!
Comment: Thank you, Carrie Jean, for the absolutely lovely swap! I love everything so much! I appreciate the time you took to find things that are very special (some too special! UFO PC is going right into the box of Precious) and lots of fun. This is a perfect swap! Thanks for the sweet note! Take care!
Comment: I so enjoyed receiving your postcard of California, having made many trips to visit family in Los Angelas (my Dads hometown) and San Francisco, and hearing many tales of my Dads fond childhood memories of time spent camping in Yosemite
I hope you and yours are also safe and well 💕
Comment: I always thought that macarons were like meringue too. They're supposed to be pretty hard to make, but I've seen the KIDS on the Gordon Ramsey cooking challenge show make them at least once, maybe twice. I like to think that I'm a pretty decent cook...until I see that show. Then I feel woefully inadequate! BTW, I think I've only ever eaten one macaron in my life so I can't really say anything about them.
Comment: ♥️♥️thank you so much for the awesome cards!! Straight off my favorites list. I will be hoarding the Where's Waldo for a while. Thanks also for the extra postage, i didnt know it went up until last week, after sending a few. Awesome swap♥️♥️
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful surprise! Where do you find your postcards? I loved the stamps and will probably keep them! They are too cool to mail away. Take care...
Response: I'm so glad you liked what I sent! :) I get postcards online on places like etsy or ebay, sometimes amazon, and I do a lot of swaps and postcrossing for blank postcards, too, which adds a lot of variety! Be well!
Comment: Hi Carrie Jean! 👋 Thank you so much for this thoughtful generous Valentine. 💌 I enjoyed your message & got a good chuckle from the flamingo 🦩 stickers. Such a unique movie, right!?! 😳 thanks too for the awesome African animals 🦏 sticker sheets, strawberry 🍓 postage stamps - I heart them. And I love the idea of the “secret message” heart ♥️ stickers. I can’t wait to try these out. P.S. you have beautiful penmanship. ✍️ Happy Swapping 📬 Take care 🤗
Comment: This card and envelope are fantastic! Thank you for the kitty stickers and memo sheets. They're purr-fect! My dad is a teacher, too, and it has been a struggle to work through the pandemic. His school is doing a combination of in-person and virtual. He really wishes they'd switch to all virtual. There have been several cases of COVID at the school but they won't close it down. I'm glad you're able to stay home to work. Stay safe and take care!
Comment: Hi Carrie Jean! I'm with you about the tuna ~ yuk. My ex-husband loved tuna fish casserole, did I say EX, lol We are doing pretty good here, all things considered. Love the unicorn sticker. Thanks for the pc ~ take care, Judy
Comment: I love everything you sent! Thank you for so many fun stickers and the pretty washi tape, notecard, postcard and strawberry stamps... I do love Strangers with Candy - big fan of both Sedaris and Colbert, so...
Comment: Thank you so much for the resend! Wonderful maps and thanks also for the extra - I have never seen a Lou Jasper pc and I love it! If the Post Office ever gets the original swap to me, I will send you a RAK for it!
Comment: Hi Carrie Jean! Thanks for the pretty Valentine card and mystery heart stickers. I enjoyed reading your note. Also, I appreciate the postage stamps. My nephew Zack just started his first teaching job this fall. He graduated a year ago and had to work in a restaurant and tutor for almost a year. He teaches Music at a charter elementary school and loves it. We have three teachers in the family. Teachers are the best!! Take care & thanks again ~ Judy
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card! I absolutely love the heart scratch off stickers and the stamps! Oh the stamps brought me a lot of joy, especially since they are international. Happy Valentine's Day!
Comment: Thank you for the playing card valentine card. I really like the mystery message stickers and the 3 cent stamps. We haven't made any plans yet. Our daughter's anniversary is 2/2, her birthday is 2/10 and son in laws birthday is 2/14, we usually do something with them around Valentine's to celebrate everything.
Comment: What a fun, bright card! I love the way you decorated it, it was so pretty! You asked about holiday plans for 2021: nothing overseas, we don't think, just stuff in Australia. We did a bit of a road trip just after Christmas which has meant that we are in self isolation now at home. First two covid tests came back negative, hopefully the final one on Saturday will too and we will be free to roam again! I hope 2021 has gotten off to a good start for you and yours: cat included! Mine is at the door reminding me it is tea time and that the dog has already been fed! Life is not fair sometimes! All the best, Tracy.
Comment: omg love the pc!! and extras :) i haven't lived in vermont very long, but i have lived in new england my whole life and i love all main streets in the smaller towns :) no matter where you are, it always feels like home :)
Comment: Thank you for the California postcard. It will fit in my collection nicely. Your 2021 plans sound great! I love old movies and should watch more and I need to do more art, too. It's so relaxing. Good luck and have fun!
Comment: Thank you so much for the cute kitty card and all the goodies! I love those strawberry stamps and the Luna Lovegood postcard. She's my favorite Harry Potter character! I hope the end of the semester went well for you; I'm a college student so I know how stressful that can be. Happy New Year!
Comment: Thank you for the Harry Potter postcard. I do love the Harry Potter movies. The peel-and-eat shrimp is a wonderful tradition to carry on. On New Year's we usually watch the Fireworks at the Space Needle on tv but it has been cancelled like everything else this year. They didn't have it last year because of wind which should have been a sign of what 2020 was going to be like. Happy New Year!
Comment: Thanks for the awesome cards, plus the extra's. I love the shaped guitar. Hope you have a nice Christmas tomorrow. I'm praying that the New Year will be better than this past one. Thanks again!
Comment: Hi Carrie Jean, thanks so much for the adorable kitty card and the fun stickers! It'll start my Christmas sticker collection for next year. I hope your collaging is fun and relaxing for you during your holiday break. I hope to learn how to make vintage themed shadow boxes during the coming year. Will see how that goes! Wishing you and your loved ones the best this Christmas and in 2021!
Comment: I have this card to trade but it’s always cool to get one sent to you. It’s dumb to send to yourself right ? Hope you are still doing well. I’m just doing a lot of mail art and I added TUbi which has a lot of good content have a great holiday
Comment: I always stay out of the dog park, especially near Christmas and on street cleaning day! The faceless old woman knocks ornaments off our tree while we sleep. Does she do that at your house? (PS thanks for the cute card chunk!)
Response: She absolutely does. It keeps things interesting around here! LOL
Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the great pc! I intended to go all out this year with decorations, but once we brought all the bins upstairs, it was overwhelming and I changed my mind and said--get it out of my sight! Just a few decorations this year!
Comment: Thank you so much for the cute card. It's always really nice to recognize that someone read my profile. :-)
I love the fox!
I have a tradition since a few years, as my family doesn't celebrate christmas together. I spend the 24th alone, that's when we celebrate in germany, watching my favourite christmas movies, eating something special and drinking lots of tea. On the 25h my boyfriend comes over and we swap presents and then i visit my mom. :-)
Take care and stay safe.
Comment: Thank you for the cute panda Christmas card. Love the stamps too! I like stuffing/dressing along with mashed potatoes and gravy. I'm allergic to pumpkin spices so prefer cherry cheesecake. Happy Holidays!
Comment: Hey Carrie, Happy Holidays! I appreciate you sharing your traditions...I had a question though....you said you'll "watch some bad sci-fi films", any good (bad) recommendations? I've always liked to watch Event Horizon around Halloween, and generally anything MST3K/rifftracks, but I'm always looking for some good (bad) suggestions. Best, Rick
Response: Most anything produced for SyFy channel by The Asylum is fantastically bad in a way I love. 6-Headed Shark Attack is the latest I've watched. Soooo bad! Enjoy!
Comment: Thank you for your lovely card and stickers. I think my husband would love your Mother in law's stuffing recipe. He love's sausage. I don't eat meat, and my husband has to work Thanksgiving day, but the weekend after we will probably make a special holiday meal with lots of traditional goodies like sweet potatoes and green bean casserole - although it will be my first attempt to make it non dairy - so wish me luck.
Response: Good luck! I've heard that casserole can be quite delicious dairy-free. For years, we made our stuffing with a fake meat sausage alternative, and it was still tasty! :) Have a happy Thanksgiving!
Comment: Hello! Thank you for teaching! It’s a hard job!! Homeschooling is going way better. Now that we have our groove. I have said at times that is sucking my soul. It is definitely not for the weak. Hahahha. Thanks for asking! Stay safe and teachers Rock!!💌
Comment: thank you so so much for the note!! I'm a teacher too and being online is so hard! power to you!! I just moved to NorCal so no snow here but can also travel not TOO far to get to snow! thanks for the amazing boston terrier postcard too! Incredible!!
Comment: My condolences to you. Losing parents are difficult. I am glad that swap-bot and post crossing brought some light into your world. I have you on my pile to respond too in the future. Each day is a blessing. See you around the mailbox-- Hugs. P.S. I just adore those winnie the pooh p/cs you sent me. I get an inner happiness when I see winnie the pooh.
Comment: Carrie, thanks so much for the lovely cat note card you send and the awesome message as well. You mentioned about missing the autumn colors and here they were really pretty this year (as they usually are) but most of the leaves are gone now ... well, more like they're not really gone but are all over the ground instead. lol Thank you so much for the stickers you sent - I am just starting a new journal and some will definitely be used to decorate some pages in it! As for me and how I ease stress - I do a lot of plastic canvas and that's usually my go to for stress - either that or reading and it seems I do quite a bit of both. (Not 'cuz I'm always stressed out but too, I enjoy doing them. 😀) Have a great rest of your weekend!
Comment: A little late LOL, but you put great stamps on it, and obviously read my profile. If it hadn't been sent in Oct. for a July swap I would have gladly given you a heart. Love everything though and thank you for catching up.
WOW, you really didn't have to send an extra card, but I'm so glad you did LOVE LOVE the stamps. Thank you so very much - I added that heart because this was such a wonderful thing to receive - a well deserved heart!
Stay positive, happy and healthy.
Response: Oh my gosh! I don't know how that happened because I get my swaps out on time, but I will happily send another card to try to apologize for whatever went wrong. So sorry!
Comment: Thank you for the cute christmas card🎄🐼. The panda bear is so cute. You are a minnesotan. lol. yes, eden prairie and Minnetonka are my neighboring suburbs. Where I live in Hopkins, is really mtka. I can use two zip codes 55434 and 55305 and still get my mail. If I go 10 feet west, I am in Minnetonka. I was born and partially raised in CA. I am a MN transplant. lol. Have a great day and merry christmas to you as well.
Comment: Thank you for the adorable kitty and owl card! <3
Best of luck with the new quarter. I've been teaching with a "blended model" (simultaneously teaching students in class and online) for 8 weeks so far this year.
I feel like I'm doing more tech support than teaching!
Comment: Congratulations on being published! And know that I am sending good vibes to you and your kitty. I too have had cats choose to be part of my family. Those are some of the best ones. Thank you for the stickers! They are soooo cute and I loved the inside of the envelope!
Comment: Perfect cards for me - I love them all so much! What an awesome Disneyland card from 19 years ago!, 2 amazing maps and then the adorable Pooh card! All new to me and going right in my collections, after I display them for awhile on my favorites rack. It will be the first time I display every card from one swap - that's how special they all are to me. Thank you also for the pretty heart stickers.
Comment: I know how you feel about finding nice quality AFFORDABLE postcards!! I would love to check out your shop! Sounds like an achievable dream, if not full time, at least part time working up to full time eventually! YOu can do it! Girl power!
Comment: I love your username, sleepykitty. : ) And OMG the cat's paw sticky notes! I'm so shook at how cute this whole note is. Thank you for the stickers, the personalization, the time you took, and all the positivity this note brought me. You truly did brighten my week! I hope things have been going okay since you started school again.
Response: I'm so glad! School has been going well. Thanks! :)
Comment: Cute notecard pic- all those puppies:) TY for the paperclip marker too:) You never said what you teach? It is a special blessing to find a type of 'work' in your life that feels like a 'treat'! Enjoy it and be blessed.
Response: I teach writing. It's a great job! I love it.
Comment: First of all, I LOVE the PC, thank you for picking such a cute one! Secondly, I'm incredibly jealous that you've actually witnessed the ball of twine - I dream of the day I can get back to the upper midwest and hit up some sights I've missed or didn't get enough time at (Wisconsin Dells, House on the Rock, etc...) Third, what is this toilet-riding business and are there photos?? 🚽🚽🚽
Response: The toilet-riding is very much alive in Silver Lake, MN, each non-pandemic summer. I have a BUNCH of pictures of grown adults, some in pairs, plunging their way down the main street of town. Literally with plungers, yes. It is awesome.
Comment: Awww i love my card and the tiny rooster stamp... Omg where did ya get that at... its so dang sweet. Nope i have no idea what that ones sticker is,,,haha but its ugly.. thank you for the fun swap.
Response: I think those little 1 cent rooster stamps came with an eBay order for 34- and 1-cent stamps. Luck of the draw! :) So glad you liked the card and stamp!
Comment: Oh my goodness! You have no idea how happy this happy mail made me!! From the succulent note pad, to the yoda stamp and mermaid sticker on the envelope, to the little red riding hood sugar skull art, I am absolutely in love. I wish I could give you more hearts!
