Comment: Vivid writing, action vivid -- time line confusing,
(Why do so many young writers, are you are, enjoy writing about ugly people and ugly actions--it can't be the only thing you can do well. (I hope)
Response: Thank you, June. I'll add this: I deliberately experimented with time sequence in this story. Could probably do with a re-write.
Comment: Beautiful story, full of rich imagery! I loved it, and found myself wishing I could read on. Thank you! Hope you're well <3 AL
(PS- Did you use a typewriter? I'm a sucker for that sort of typed work. )
Response: Thank you for the wonderful response Alison. Indeed, I used a typewriter, a second-hand Imperial. Stay in touch & all the best
Comment: THANK you! My house is undergoing lots of renovations due to a flood, so everything is just everywhere and i am just now finding swaps I haven’t rated yet. Thanks again and happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you Dillon for recommending such intriguing books...such a variety and well worded reviews. You are a genius with your usage of words, esp pertaining to describing ppl and events. I look forward into looking even more into these books. Thank you.
Comment: How lucky I am that you got my name for another swap, Dillon! I loved your letter - it had me laughing like crazy when I read the poem (I shared it with my husband and now I'm scared he'll start comparing my face to a cut-open potato). You have such a wonderful way of writing letters - it certainly made my day receiving another piece of mail from you. Thank you so much!!
Comment: Thank you Dillon for the letter and the beautifully crafted poems. I thought you did an excellent job writing them! I really picked up on the Irish voice that you wrote into them - I can't choose which of them is my favorite, but I really liked the imagery you used in 'The Morning Statue'. Thank you so much again, and I do hope you host this swap regularly! I really enjoyed writing poems for my partner as well. Have a lovely day!
