Comment: Thanks for the PC! Interesting facts about Illinois. Utah is the 11th largest State, but we have a LOT of area in wilderness and desert where people can't live...No water in the desert, and high altitude mtns... Enjoy your State! My g-grandparents lived there for awhile.
Comment: Thank you for the postcards. I remember many trips into NYC when I was growing up, and I always loved Grand Central. So those cards are especially fun for me. And of course, Lantern Press are always great. Thank you!
Comment: So many cool goodies! Thanks so much! Especially love the vintage-style travel postcards! (Just a heads-up for your future swaps: I had to pick the envelope up at the post office because of insufficient postage.)
Comment: Thank you so much for the thoughtful envi <3 just next time tea should be kept in its package.. it ruined a lot of the post it notes of different neon colors you sent. oh used opened post its to. but the post cards were excellent!
Comment: Thanks for the items you put together for me! I must say, that the tea will be composted though, because they are old & all but one, is not sealed by the manufacturer! I can tell they're old, by smell & resonance feel. However, I do appreciate the thought. Now, the postcards, stamps, colored paper squares & doilie are definitely something I can use! The timing is wonderful for the pc's & stamps! I love the San Fran. & Nat. Parks pc's! Was running low on postcards! So these are a nice addition! The stamps will be used for some binder covers to keep my Happy Mail! Thanks. ~ Z
Comment: This was due to be sent 3/17. I sent a message that I had not received the swap 4/10 and today (4/17) I have received the swap and it was postmarked 4/10. However I never did get a response to my message. But I'm reading a 5 because the envelope meets so requirements aside from the send by date. Thank you for sending.
Comment: Thank you for the envie full of goodies. I especially like the map postcards. I'm sad that I can't use the teabags. I only use ones that are factory sealed. I think most of the members would agree with me. Oh, the foreign postage stamps are cool too.
Comment: Thank you so much for the cards! The only time I have been in Chicago was when I was in O'Hare Intl Airport. I loved seeing the view while flying over the city. My favorite band is also from there (Fall Our Boy).
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful chicago postcards! I am actually planning a trip down to the windy city in May to see Van Goughs art exhibit, hope your staying warm this winter hasn't been a joke 😁
Comment: Thank you so much for your beautiful Chicago nightview postcard:-) It brings back lots of good memories of the time when I was an Au Pair in Glenview 20 years ago. We used to come to Chicago as often as we could. I've always dreamed of coming back one day, and your postcard reminds me of that goal:-)
Comment: Thank you so much for this beautiful Hawaii postcard. I love it! And thank you for the information about the endangered species in the island, it makes me really sad to hear that a lot of the state native birds are extinct.
Comment: Hello, Matt! My name is May. I've received the package of postcard from you. It's awesome. Thank you! I hope you can visit my country one day (Bali is very popular I guess). I hope you have a great day. Stay safe. Love from Indonesia.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. I honestly should be rating a 3 since this postcard was mailed out a week after the deadline. I am however going to rate a 5 this one time. Deadlines are important so if you need extra time let us know :) thank you.
Comment: Hi Matt. Thank you for the wonderful Marshall Field's PC. I remember shopping at Field's when I was a child growing up in MA. Showed my 88 yr. old mum, brought back a lot of memories for her too!
Comment: Love the disney card as I didnt have it yet. The quote is so true. But I do not fish as I tell the old man I am smarter than the fish already and dont need a fishing pole to prove it, im more of a swim with the fish not catch the fish gal...
Comment: Thank you for the cute terrier postcard. I love terriers! Also thank you for the random facts about you. Congratulations on earning your Master's Degree! It is a huge accomplishment that I know you've worked hard for. Enjoy!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard from Florida. I love the ocean views. I wish we were able to go to the beach right now actually. This whole weekend is going to be 85 degrees which is unheard of in Portland this early.
Comment: hi Matt - thanks much for the lovely card & unique envelope ~ i am happy you have more time for swaps, maybe take a break from the studies > best of luck dealing with the boredom, growing your postcard collection + continued world challenges ahead!
Comment: Hello Matt - thank you for the postcard and letter. I am glad that you are able to continue school and work remotely during this time. I am lucky too and have been working at home as a Head Start teacher. My summer break starts May 24th though and I am really hoping to get to spend some time outside (fingers crossed) In my state it is not required to wear masks yet, but there is whispers that it will be that was soon, Stay safe and enjoy the little things....Justme72 (Martha) and thanks again for the smile mail
Comment: I had to laugh at this PC - I may or may not have "stalked" people online...you know, you can learn so much about a person from facebook, oops! I hope all is well with you, stay safe and stay healthy!
Comment: I ABSOLUTELY LOVEDDDDDDDD THIS PC!!!!! I love all things vintage and pinup girl, and i have never seen this one before. (It just might be the best card i have received all month, but shhh don’t tell the others ;) thanks so much again,
Harley (has Hilary) ;)
Comment: Hi Matt! Thanks for your card ands the quote, very thoughtful! Heres a related quote for you:
“I never had a dream in my life because a dream is what you want to do but still haven’t pursued. I knew what I wanted and did it til it was done, so I’ve lived the dream that I wanted so since day one!”
—-“Lucy” by Aesop Rock
Comment: Hi Matt!
Thanks so much for the PC and the quote on the back by Jerry Brown. When I was at the San Francisco opera last summer, he was there also and I rode in an elevator with him. I didn't talk to him or anything, but it's an interesting thing to tell people. LOL
Comment: Matt, thanks for the card and quote from Walt. I really like the postcard, it gave me a chuckle :) postcards of awkward Americana sound like fun! I hope you are well, and have a happy Thanksgiving! -- RJ
Comment: Thank you for the great card of Commander David Scott on the moon. I loved everything about the space program especially after I met Dr Von Braun when we lived in Huntsville, AL when I was 14 in 1961. He came to my school and told us all about the rocket he was developing for the moon launch.
Comment: Thanks for the great PC and the quote.
The Turboliners never, as far as I know, operated on the Northeast Corridor so I never rode one. It wasn't until after 2000 that I travelled by rail in the midwest and they were all gone by then.
Comment: Great PC, Thanks.
Whenever I'm asked to "rate the pain on a scale of one to ten." I always tell them that I have never broken a bone or given birth to a child. That usually evokes a chuckle or a strange look as I am a male.
Comment: Blank card with no message or explanation of the history. |Card not signed with any name. I have to say it was a disappointing swap. First blank card I've received from any of my swap bot partners.
Comment: Thanks for the vintage Orlando PC Matt! I'm actually from the Chicago area originally, so I keep hearing complaints from friends and about the snow, haha! Seems like it starts earlier every year.
Comment: Thanks for the Chicago skyline postcard featuring (what I'd still call) the Sears Tower. Maybe buildings, like sports stadiums and arenas can have naming rights purchased these days? lol take care!
Comment: I just got this cool black and white NY pc today. I realized this swap is from November 2017 WOW...I can't believe it arrived after all this time. For sure got lost in the way since USA-Mexico mail arrives within 6 weeks at the most. Thank you so much! Sad we will never know the adventures of your postcard!
Comment: Love the PC! I have relatives there and have visited several times and lived there for a few months back in the 80's! Never had to live through a winter, don't think I would have survived! Thank you!
Comment: This was 2 month's late. My address was correct. Post card is nice. I have been late and rated badly for it. A message would have been appreciated it. I'm on watch for your other swaps, but will discontinue. it's disappointing and don't want to continue with this.
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful Chicago PC! We really enjoyed our visit there. I even left part of myself there. I tripped on the uneven sidewalk stones around John Hancock tower and left some of my arm and shoulder there. So graceful. LOL!
Comment: Hi, Matt! Can you tell me more about the postcard you sent? It has lots of, what looks like, swapbot names and it indicates there was a Postcrossing event in May. I'm part of Postcrossing as well and did not know about that event. :)
Comment: thank you, for the card. I got to spend only one night in chicago a few years ago and i spent the day at the art institute, its a great museum. Its 46 degrees here tonight, but I know that seems super warm compared to there! stay warm over there!
Comment: I got your card....you didn't put your swap-bot name, so I'm guessing it was from you. I'm not sure, because it was mailed on Nov. 5th and this swap ended on Sept. 26th, so please let me know if I am wrong.
Comment: Thank you for your postcard. and your comment "here's your postcard, please rerate." I did.... update 10/27 WOW! I appreciate you wanting to make things right but my gods you went overboard. Thank you for the cards. Many blessings.
Comment: Matt, thank you for the postcard of Chicago. I lived outside of the city in a small town called Woodridge. Only stayed for 2 1/2 years. Didn't like the weather although MA wasn't any better. NC is much better, not much snow. Shirley
Comment: I'm actually one of the half dozen people who hates Star Wars! :) And it was so intensely Star Wars-y. It works just fine though because I like anything post office and stamps related. Thank you.
Comment: What a cool postcard! Long live 80's Rock! And definitely go for grad school...too few good people willing to take on the school councilor role these days. Thanks for the facts and the neat PC
Comment: I love Hawaii. I haven't been to Oahu but I have been to the Big Island and Maui. Thank you for hosting!
For the ratings checking nazis: this swap was postmarked August 28, well before the last day to send!
