Comment: Belated thank you for the vintage Black Heritage postcard, adorable owl washi, and lovely Thoreau postage, Nichole! I was grateful to attend my first World Stamp Show last summer (if only I had known about it as a kid, I would've asked to attend, since they're only once every decade) and wish I could make it to the national and regional ones. I collect stamps more to use them than preserve them :) Hope your end-of-summer has been going well!
Comment: Thank you for the simple yet wonderful postcard! I hope you enjoyed Clymer. I love people who can appreciate the hardwork of a garden. We have a huge one at our house and although many like to enjoy it, few know the hours and hours of work that went into it. Thank you for using such a fun stamp, i've been waiting to receive a card with one of them. It's amazing!
Comment: Wonderful magpie journal. I loved reading all the things about you and seeing all the ads from where you live. We have a Jamestown in North Dakota, too-but then I suppose there are even more in other states! Beautiful thread and fiber dangle. Thanks for being a great partner and sending such an interesting journal! Thanks for sharing and swapping!
Comment: What a beautiful manor! It looks like such a wonderful place to spend a weekend. Thanks for sharing with me.
8/28/17 Update: I got another postcard from you. I don't know if it was a mistake or not, but thanks.
Comment: Thank you for this wonderful memento of of one of my favorite rooms in one of my most favorite museums/places in my favorite city! The first time I had the pleasure to see the Unicorn Tapestries at The Cloisters, it was a cold, quiet February day -- walking through Fort Tryon Park was like going back in time. (I wish I had given into my urge to make a snow angel, which I still, to this day, have not done, since it obviously doesn't snow where I live :p) The floral detailing reminds me of the medieval-inspired textiles that Morris and Company would make in the 19th century. Thank you for bringing a piece of art history and nostalgia into my box :)
Comment: I am listening to Mr. Bowie's "Fashion" as I type this: Belated, belated thank you for the lovely Dorothy Height postage, pressed flower washi, and this fantastic card of Mr. Arnaz as Ricky Ricardo looking like an impresario or producer :D You are so lucky to live near the Lucy Museum! I Love Lucy was my first non-cartoon/"kids" show as a child, and recently I enjoyed happening upon episodes in a marathon one late night :) Hope you are having a good spring and that your box is full of happy mail ♥
Comment: (received 18-4-17) Thank you for the photo-postcard of Jamestown, I did not expect a sel-fprinted card for this type of swap but I do think it looks great :)
I noticed you wrote '1 of 2' so I have to mention thanks for sending me two postcards! Sadly the 2nd one did not arrive, but I am grateful for your generosity! <3
Response: Great I'm glad you enjoyed them happy swapping💓
Comment: Thank you for the stamps... the heart is for the Oscar de la Renta stamp you used on the envelope, and for the mint Oscar de la Renta stamp you included with the others. (If you cut out the Christmas tree stamp please be more careful next time... it's missing its entire left edge. If you sent it on to me from someone else, please check what you send for damaged stamps in the future before sending.)
Response: glad you enjoyed them. Thank you for the Heart!
Comment: I am not sure.. is it a PC is it mixed media..... that is definitely different but thank you for the effort. I see the potential for this card especially with embossing sanded and gesso over it
Comment: What a great selection of interesting postcards you sent, Nichole! Thanks also for the extra one, sent separately. Wonderful postcards, nice greeting card, pretty envelope and special postage stamps! 💖😄📬
Comment: Ohhhhhh! Lots of postcards! Thank you! I really like the one you made! Where did you get the template for the back side to print? I have been buying stick-on backs, but that can get expensive! Thanks for the blessing, sister!
Response: Me too. Postcards are super fun. I don't really remember. I think I got it out of a free box at a swap. 💓
Thank you so much for the beautiful postcard. The woman on the front is so very lovely. I want to display it somewhere in my place for company to see. And I also love the quote. Have a great week!
Comment: TWO PCs....and both fun...thanks for your generosity, Nichole. LUV your photo of brick roads!! And a Lucy/Desi PC...cool! Big hugs and hearts for your effort to exceed expectations....jinanne PS/ Pls don't forget to include swap name, etc.
Comment: Love the pc you made of the streets in Jamestown, my sister and I were in Jamestown last summer doing genealogy and we went to the cemetery where Lucille Ball is. We stop to see her and the people my sister was looking for. Then rode thought the whole cemetery which is really big. We even found some of the brick streets. Thanks
Response: I'm glad you came for a visit! Thank you!
Comment: You did a marvelous job of showcasing your town...I'd love to visit the Roger Tory Peterson museum...wow... he did some awesome work painting birds and other things. I hope the treatment you got for MS worked! My brother has Parkinson's so I know that there are a lot of horrible things out there. He told me in our family I got all the good genes and he ended up with the bad ones. Unfortunately for him, it's true. I'm 7 years older than he is and in much better health. Thank you very much for the journal. It's very interesting.
Response: Thank you💓 I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I'm sorry to hear about your brothers struggle. Thank you again.
Comment: Thank you for the post card that I received today. I liked it a lot. I didn't know that Lucy's hometown was Jamestown. I saw online that you all have a Lucille Desi Museum. I bet that's a fun place. Thanks again, Diana (delafuente)
Comment: You didn't exactly follow the guide lines of the swap but since it's a Christmas swap I am letting that go. In the future you might want to read the swap listing better. There are many on here that will mark you down for any little thing they can.
What you missed.....you were supposed to either write or type out recipes of your own not from mags. Plus each pocket was to have some type of cookie theme to it.
Thanks for joining my swap and have a wonderful Christmas
Response: Really. Lol. Merry Christmas to you as well. Mark away. I do this for fun.
Comment: Love the card you chose and the verses! Thanks for sharing...and for the nifty tuck-in! I love the "bonus round". You are sweet! God bless you, too...I hope there will be more of these kinds of thought-provoking swaps.
Response: I love swaps like this. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Great Pocket Letter! I love the picture of your dog in the snow and the leaf picture you took.
My daughter loves Christmas also. She starts in with the carols and Christmas movies in September. Thanks for the tea and coffee!
Response: Your welcome and thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I tried to be creative.
Comment: It is an adventure. Thank you so much. I've already flipped though some of the brochures...we've been talking about visiting NY. This may seal it....I'm ready. Thanks for joining my swap and thanks so much for all of the wonderful information! You are too kind!
Response: You are very welcome. I hope you do visit especially this time of year WNY is beautiful! 💓
Comment: Thank you Nichole for this great vintage PC and I think you solved my mystery! I've had a PC laying on my desk from last week "Greetings from Jamestown" with nothing written on it other than my address, was that from you? I'm pretty sure it was, thanks for sending another one because I hadn't had the time to figure out where this one came from LOL
