Comment: ooh I love the letter set you wrote on and thank you for the flat surprises c: I enjoy using my typewriters to write letters and scrapbook for sure! Sometimes my hand get too tired writing a lot, lol. And I would love to make my own paper one day, but I don't have all the materials just yet so more of just researching about it for now. I think you have such a cool job, and that event sounds so fun! Stay safe, Stephanie!
Response: You are welcome. Thank you so much for the nice feedback! Hope you are also staying safe and well!
Comment: Thank you for the notecard and postcard you included with your swap. I enjoyed reading about the birds you see often in your area. In my area, I do see one or two hawks flying around at times.

Comment: happy Christmas Stephanie! Thank you for your Special card, the Angel card, and Christmas PC. I really love them and it is pretty neat of the US capitol card! I have never had the chance to go to Washington DC. I have been every where else though. But I'm afraid my travelling days are long over. due the M.S. But anyway, I hope you & your loved ones have a very magical Christmas !
Response: Thank you for your very kind rating! I am glad that you liked the swap! Happy Christmas to you as well!

Comment: Thank you so much for the great ATC and really awesome note. I loved reading it - and I feel honoured that you took the time you did, both on the ATC and to read my profile and respond to it with such a lovely card. xoxoxo
Comment: Hi Stephanie! I absolutely LOVED your letter and everything in it!! The tattoo art stuff was amazing. Your envelope was so much fun to get in the mail, and I enjoyed your letter. Thank you so much! I know you said you don't do much mail art, but this was super cute...I hope you do more mail art in the future! If it would be ok, I'd love to send you some mail art in return!
Response: Hi, thank you very much for your nice feedback! Happy that you enjoyed the swap!!! Sure, I would love some new mail art, thanks!
Comment: Thank you Stephanie for quite the selection of bookmarks. Which I love! Kind of threw me a little, when you wrote Handmade bookmarks swap, when it is International Bookmarks-June. I went looking through my swaps and found you, hee ! But no problem hon. It's all good. Have a good one !
Response: You are welcome. Thanks for the nice rating! Sorry about writing a weird swap name! A sick blind kitten showed up here wanting help last week and I was a little rattled, I guess. He is feeling much better now in his new home and things are getting more calm for me as well.
Comment: Wow you found some really creepy legends, I like the one about the "presence" too. Thanks for making this swap so enjoyable to read and for the cute card, stickers, and fun bookmark too! Happy Halloween!Laura
Response: You are welcome. I really enjoyed this swap. Happy Halloween!
Comment: How neat, I've always wanted to do a DNA test to find out what kind if blood really flows through these muddy veins. I've always been told I have Irish, the names on the family tree are a clue this is true lol. I love the necklace! Funny coincidence, I also sent my partner a necklace depicting my Hispanic heritage!
Response: Thanks for the nice rating and message. Glad you like the necklace! I used 23andMe for the DNA test; I had always wondered about my ancestors too.
Comment: I'm stunned & aggrieved to know about this sobering matter. "reflects badly upon humans" ... indeed :( I hope they stop doing that! How much badly does THAT reflect? Maybe we should try to set up a counter-measures services ... p.s., Thanks for the beautiful extras!
Response: You are welcome! I was glad to get that off my chest, as they say!
Comment: Hi Stephanie! Thanks for the cool lizard! I think if you had attached it to a card a little bit bigger (like a standard postcard) it would have mailed naked fine. Just a thought for when you want to mail a lizard again. ;) P.S. I've named him Larry and he's going up on my wall!
Response: Thanks! I am still irked that he had to go in an envelope. But I am glad you like him! Thanks for the tip. That postal counter person lacks a sense of adventure, I think. :) Will follow up with something weird but less scary for the post office sub.
Comment: Hey Steph I got your mail today, and it genuely made me smile. I love how you've placed polar bears on top of the envelope, because of your bear dream. And flat goodies are the cutest. will use them for sure ❤ . I do research my dreams from time to time, but I not always know what they mean. I buy a lot of dream dictionary books (I'm not sure if that's what they call them in English) so when I wake up in can check my dreams when I still remember them. I'm happy you liked my swap, I'll host #3 at the end of the month. Hope you can join.
Response: Thanks for your rating. I am glad you liked the swap! Yes, I have always called those kinds of books dream dictionaries. Hope to participate again when you next host the swap!

Response: Thank you for your nice rating. Happy swapping to you as well!
Comment: Loved everything you sent me. Thank you so much. I would go to this place too if I lived in Virginia. The parts that impressed me were the German expressions and French Impressionists galleries. Will try and check it out on their website. Happy swapping
Response: You are welcome. I am looking forward to returning to that museum!
Comment: Thank you for the tea. I love that you sent me something that I would LOVE to try :D
I note that you were worried that about feedback received for this swap. My card is very much like your link. Thank you for taking the time to make the card. I'm sure the hearts took ages to cut by hand. :D
Thank you again.
Response: Thank you for such a nice rating and your comments. I appreciate them. Enjoy the tea!
Comment: Thanks for the teas and cute card! You area of VA is lovely. My husband had a great aunt in Bridgewater and we loved visiting. We visited Harrisonsburg this spring this spring, Front Royal yesterday and are due for a trip to Luray for Thanksgiving. We love the Shenandoah Valley!

I have seen the mini-series of Jonathan Strange yet, but I'm looking forward to it!
Comment: Thank you for putting this little ephemera packet together for me. I will enjoy going through and seeing a bit about you through the eyes of your paper. :-) (And the little zippered pouch is awesome!) Thank you. :-)
Comment: Stephanie, this parcel is amazing!!!!! The spider eggs are so cool! I love the postcard - that is going in my journal, The stag ornament is gorgeous and is going straight on my tree, the wolf book looks terrific - can't wait to read it, but my absolute favourites are the frog items - I love frogs!!!! I love Unakite, but I did not know that about it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Response: You are welcome! I had a great time thinking of the transformations and picking out things! It was a fun swap!
Comment: Stephanie, thanks a million for a great Flamingo Package! I loved everything, especially the fairy garden flamingos! I've found a special home for these in some of my potted house plants. The fabric is also great... ooh... what will I make? The bookmarks are in use already as I'm reading several books. Everything was awesome and I will use all of it! Thank you so very much; I could never have found these items here in Maine... Flamingos are a little hard to come by, but if you ever want to swap Lobsters... I'd be golden!
Comment: I got your package today and loved looking through everything. It is so cool that you went to ASU. I did also and my daughter graduated last Spring and now has an awesome job. Let me know if you are ever back in Boone! Thanks again!
Response: Thanks! I love Boone! Congratulations also to your daughter!
Comment: Hi Stephanie! Thank you so much for the letter! I have three friends who are also librarians, so it was neat to see that is what you do as well! The butterfly card is stunning! I will hang that up in my sewing room! Thank you so much for such a sweet swap! I love the bookmarks! I always have several books going at the same time! :)
Response: You are welcome. Thank you for the nice rating! I remembered after I posted the letter that I have been to your state! I went to the Dells and rode the Ducks! And I bought some taffy to bring home. :)
Comment: EEEE! I love my needlepoint! I am going to read all my stories when I go to bed tonight. What a cool job you have! I'm sad little Rufus wasn't laid next to his mom too :(My dad always said that if we buried him in the sun we would be haunted too, but he has such a pretty spot picked out and he helped pick it out, I think he's good. Sometimes a little time changes the thought process. :) LOve it! Thank you!
Response: You are welcome. So glad you liked it! I loved this swap and had such fun with it!!!
Comment: Thank you very, very much for the wonderful swap! You chose an amazing variety of tea flavors to send me, half of which I haven't even tried. :) I am especially curious about the "matte chocolatte" flavor you sent. :) Also it was really kind of you to include some extra notecards and the awesome postcard! :) You rock as a swap partner. :D
Comment: Thank you so much for the great selection of teas, cute Shenandoah National Park stickers, and most of all your note! Funny, I love swapping with people all over the world, but I almost get most excited to 'meet' people who live closeby. :)
Comment: Wow! I wasn't expecting this so quickly! What a wonderful gift! I was born in New Mexico and love the incense so much! The bag is gorgeous, everything is super gorgeous!! I couldn't wait until Christmas though! Thank you dear
Response: You are welcome! This was one of my favorite swaps of the year! I'm glad you like it all!
Comment: Thanks so much for the wonderful rocks you sent me! I love them all, I love the articles you sent. It was a really nice package. I have the little coyote sitting on top of the "television stone"; he fits on it just right and I have him on my computer base keeping me company.
Response: Thank you for the nice rating. I am glad you liked the rocks package!
Comment: Oh my gosh! You did a GREAT job on this swap! It was so much fun for me to read your letter! I even called a couple of my friends and read it to them. You definitely have a talent for writing! Thank you for the teas, postcard and cool batiked notecard, too. That was a nice touch. Most excellent! ETA: My dog was disappointed when I told her your cats aren't actually coming. She thinks kitties look delicious and was all prepared to sample some. :-)
Response: Thank you for hosting such a fun swap and the nice feedback! I really enjoyed the creative writing.
I continue to look for altitude sickness medicine for my five cats and me in case we need to travel outside of Virginia in the future. ;)
Comment: What beautiful fish! They are amazingly clothed, love the fur coat and pants. and those fish eyes! And the Holy Grail of extras. You have outdone yourself. Definitely brought a smile to my face. I wish that I could send you a raft of coconuts. But I haven't got a lovely bunch of coconuts. And I the shipping might be a little steep. And the oarsmen might get a little lost. But the sentiment is there! You understand, of course, because you have crafted an amazing pair of fish ...
Response: This was a super fun swap. I am glad you like the fish and the grail! :) Thank you for hosting!
Comment: thank you Stephanie for your first letter i really appreciate it. Your first letter makes me to explore more about this swap bot.
Response: You are welcome. Thank you for the nice rating! I have seen your kind emails about wanting to reply to me and I think the best thing for you to do to find new friends here would be to join some pen pal swaps since swaps like this one I did are a one time communication. There are many good pen pal groups on the site! Did you see about the newbies helpers group that I suggested? I enjoyed swapping with you and am glad you enjoyed the quill pen letter that I wrote. :)
Comment: Hi Stephanie I received your package today. I love the little pig card and the little appliques. The material was really nice - what did you make out of the celestial piece? Thank you also for the handmade card. Hope we swap again sometime. Pat
Response: Hi! I am glad you like the items I sent! I bought the celestial fabric for you but have not used any of the fabric myself. They told me at the fabric store that it will glow in the dark. :) I am tempted to buy some for myself and make a glowing pillow.
Comment: Hi Stephanie,
The package arrived today and was an absolute delight! I really really like everything that you sent. The coasters are lovely and look great on my desk at work and I love the Indian bird key ring and wallet. The butterfly card is beautiful -- I'll save it for a special occasion and special person! It was really interesting to read some US information about Fair Trade -- I sent my partner some UK information and it's interesting to see how the different countries/cultures approach things. Thank you very much indeed for everything (including the postcards!) Your letter was great and I can see how much our workplaces and roles overlap with each other. I'll message you in response to it, but I'm trying to meet a couple of writing deadlines so might not manage to until later in the week. Thank you again. P.S. The tiny cookbook was amazing! It looks just like the one my mum had when I was little.
Response: I am so glad it got there and you like it all!!!
Comment: Hi Stephanie!
What a lovely owlish package you sent my way! I truly enjoyed reading about your experiences with owls and I LOVE the towel AND keychain--that was so generous to send two items! When I was driving in the country one day, I looked over at a barren cornfield and there was a HUGE owl just sitting in the middle of the field--I assume he was looking for critter snacks. I actually pulled over and watched him for the longest time. They are truly majestic aren't they? Did you know the collective noun for a group of owls is a "parliament of owls"? It even sounds regal! Thanks for sending such a lovely swap my way.
Response: Thank you for your nice rating and feedback! I really enjoyed compiling this swap and am glad you like the things I sent. I hadn't known about the parliment of owls but that does sound very fitting for such regal birds! I saw yet another news story yesterday on the snowy owl in this town. He may be the biggest ever local celebrity!!!
Comment: Thank you so much for the teas and postcards! The postcards are hilarious, they made my day. :) The Yogi tea you sent can't be bought from here so I'm really happy to receive that. (They sell only a few flavours here.) Thank you!
Response: You are welcome! I'm glad you liked the package!
Comment: I received the swap package today and was thrilled with the WARM winter scarf! Thank you so much! I love sewn things, but hate to actually sew, so this was perfect. I had always wondered about sewing/crafting with that material (fleece?...not sure what it's called) and now I have a great example of it. And the teas were perfect, too. Cute card and very nice note...I like to do about the same as you on cold winter days. Great swap! :)
Response: You are welcome. I am glad you like the scarf!!! Yes, it is made from fleece. I like fleece, it is so warm and was pretty easy to sew.
Comment: I sooo love everything u gave me. Thank u so much. I really love that little ziplock bag that has the little boy n girl and I love how the little boy has an Afro :-) makes me smile. I love everything thank u for such a cute package
Response: Oh good, I am glad you are enjoying it! Thanks for the nice rating.
Comment: Thank you for the fairy rocks! I had never heard of them before so the extra info on them made them that much more special. I also appreciate the postcards from the state and national parks. :)
Comment: I would not have joined this swap had I known that your gift would have melted in my mailbox. Please resend. It is 109 here today. Didnt you read my profile about not sending things that would melt?
Response: Thanks for the rating. I'll be sure to pack my comments in ice next time. ;)
Comment: I am so sorry this swap was conflicting with your summer plans, and I am glad you found time to comment and join anyway. I would have joined had the farting unicorns made house calls bring proactive with Justin Bieber.
Comment: Wow! Thank you, thank you! I wish I could give you 10 hearts. Your letter explaining about the rocks was awesome! The fairy stones are cute. I am a huge stone collector so your package made my day. Also, thank you for your kind words about my kitty :)
Response: Thanks!!! I'm glad you liked it. It was such fun to pick out and share the stones!
Comment: Thank you so much for a fabulous gardening book. I am so anxious to get out and dig in the dirt. We had snow today!!!! Unbelievable!!! The paint book has so many techniques to learn. I think it will be very cool using these on my Tags & ATC's. The tags and stickers are super cute. This was indeed a 100 star swap!!! Loved it all. Hugs, Moma
Response: I'm glad it got there quickly and you like everything!!! You are welcome.
Comment: Thank you so much for everything. What a nice swap you made for me. I like it all. I also have some friends who live in Virginia, so you gave me some new places to check out. That was a great swap idea too!!! =)
Comment: Thanks Stephanie for the fun children's book pictures! I'm sure there are some doozies in our collection too, but children's books scare me (they're small and sticky and hard to shelve!), so I tend to stay away from that section! Sorry it took me a while to rate, emails are hard for me to remember to rate because there's not something physical looking me in the face, lol. I usually keep unrated physical swaps right by my computer so I remember to rate them.
Response: Thanks for the rating and thanks again for thinking of this fun swap! Ew- "sticky" books, ha ha, but it is true. Library books, even the ones in good condition, used to gross me about a bit. I still dislike finding food and odd stains inside of them. Looking forward to seeing your weird book(s).
Comment: Stephanie ~ thank you so much for your kind words. And a BIG "thank you" for that awesome stuffed case! The things inside are increditable! Love the bracelet, love everything! Thank you so, so much! XO Kelly :)
Comment: Thank you for your thoughtful package - my man is wearing the T-Shirt today and I have the little flowerclip in my Hair since I opened it. I love that you donated in my name! What a good idea for this swap! And my little boy is fascinated with the putty - it seems you made the whole family happy :o)
Response: I'm glad to make you all happy! Happy 2013! I was sorry to hear the package was slowed down in the holiday mail but am glad you are enjoying it all.
Comment: Lovely! Love the fabric bookmark. I am sure that my sister will quickly steal the Yoda one from me :) Great little details on the envelope and card. I like the bunnies checking out the books under the tree. Thank you for the recommendations. I look forward to checking them out!
Comment: Hi Stephanie! Thank you so much for the fine and detailed account of your theater ghost! Wow! You couldn't get much closer to the local haunting... unless you worked upstairs ha ha! I appreciate you for taking the time to write such a descriptive letter! I agree with your logic about the ghost probably not being Dr. Cole, but another professor or the reverend! My son had a similar experience to yours while jogging in Gettysburg near the battlefields! Spooky! I haven't had any encounters since the Ouija board at a middle school slumber party! Thank you also for the cute Halloween brads and stickers! You are very thoughtful! I will look for you in future swaps! Take care, Karen
Comment: What a great, beautifully decorated list! A few are ones I put on my list, a few I should have put on my list, a few I decided not to put on my list, and a few I've never read. Thanks so much for expanding my YA world with these books & wonderful summaries--makes me want to read them all (luckily, I just started the 4th Percy Jackson book, so there's #8 on your list accounted for). Thanks so much! Hope to see you in the next one in this series. Oh, and GO HOKIES! right back atcha :-)
Comment: Thank you for a great package! So many things to look at... write on... learn about... And I especially like the fact that you went into all this trouble to explain to me where and how you obtained the ephemera. Very much appreciated! :-)
Comment: I will be sending you a $20.00 comment, purchased last year at local winery as I think you should stay drunk for the duration of this swap - you need to be more spacey than normal. It will be delivered by dog sled from Canada as soon as we have more snow
Comment: I truly hope your GSHPA-group will get loads of members, and you can all share and work your Alpaca issues out. I feel for you, all those insensitive posters... please enjoy the potting unicorns left in other -more considerate- posts.
Comment: Wow, your random-ness is so very interesting and thoughtful! By the time I finish reading all the literature of the area I will know enough to be a tour guide! I love the tea card, mothers coaster, and library love too! Thanks for sharing and hosting. This was a fun swap!
Comment: It just hit me that the bookmark was for this swap! It was lovely, thank you!
Response: Hi! I'm glad you liked the bookmark. I'm thinking you mean the one I sent with the Getting to Know you Swap? Actually, I have some that I made just for you on the way for this swap. I mailed them last week so they should be there soon!
Comment: It's very interesting to read about apposition very different from my own! Archiving sounds like fun. I would love to hear more about the news articles once you start writing them. Lovely bookmark, thank you! Enjoy the Hunger Games books!
Comment: Stephanie you fab lady! This was such an awesome package. I loved hearing about your local lore and traditions. The drinks were so yummy, I wish we had those in Sweden! The vintage deer ornament was spot on, I love it! He's spent the holidays under my tiny tree with the rest of my deer-collection :)
This swap was so much fun, thank you for being a creative host and a wonderful partner! (Sorry for rating late, the holidays have been crazy)
Comment: Thanks for joining and sending me some great info! I'm going to look up the cemeteries in Wytheville, VA and possibly plan a visit! Where do you live, if you're close we could totally plan a cemetery tour or something of the area and do a bunch of picture taking! Thanks for joining and happy swapping!
Comment: It was a pleasure to swap with you again after so long! Thanks for all the amazing goodies. The cats LOVED the catnip toy -- the catnip was so potent that they thought the bubble wrap was a toy too. :D
Response: Thanks! I'm really enjoying the things you sent as well! Glad we did this swap! Also glad the cats are happy. :)
Comment: Thanks ever so much for the great antiques. You chose the paper so carefully with my profile in mind - I can just see you going through box after box of ephemera in antique malls to find these.
Comment: Neat-O! The envelope is really cute. The stamps don't even look cancelled--they weren't unused stamps, were they? The stickers you slipped inside will come in handy with my kids, too. I am hoping that I didn't misunderstand this swap though, because I decorated my envelope and then put stamps on it and mailed it!!! Thanks for sending my decorated envelope inside a protective bubble mailer! I'm hoping either way is fine, but I'm lucky because I'll get to enjoy the envie and use it too. Thanks again.
Response: Hi, I'm glad you like the envelope. Yes, I had a sheet of older unused stamps I was saving for such a crafting occasion. :)
Comment: Thank you stephanie for a lovely unbirthday package, i love the dotty socks the shopping bag will come in very useful i am always going out without one, i will keep it in my purse with my new notebook,
Comment: Thank you for the lovely unvbirthday card. It was a fun swap.
Sorry to be so late in rating. I had to buy a new computer. Then I had to wait for the internet provider to connect me. Then my family had to help me with some things. Your swap partner,Linda
Comment: I got your journal today! ♥ they are really amazing stories and I loved that one poem about the man in the stairs, it creeped me out really good, i knew i heard the first part from somewhere, but never actually looked up the poem!! thank you so much!! :D
Comment: Thank you so much for the sweet insight into your holiday traditions and for sharing them with me. I love that you collect a new wooden bowl every year and love the shape of the one you chose for me. I forgot to hit the "Save Ratings" button so this rating comes long after the opening of the package, but the joy of this swap still lingers. Thank you so much. Happy 2011!
Comment: Hah-- how delightfully anti-profile this package was! :) The bunny has a bright future as a bingo prize, and will find a nice home amid the Saltine packets and balled-up tissues on some elderly lady's dresser. I actually dig the bookmark, and fully intend to use it! :) The Hello Kitty stickers were a nice touch! Well-played, my friend!
Response: Awesome! I'm glad you um... "like" everything. ;) It was fun to make the bookmark. There was another woman at the bead store who buying all the princess beads with great sincerity for her daughter. I actually found the bunny to be a bit scary but am glad to hear it may find a loving home anyway!
Comment: When I got this, it wasn't quite what I expected (I guess we all had our own ideas, no? :) But the more I looked through it, the more I liked it. Thanks for all the work you put into it. I especially like the giant woodchuck eating the little man. That one got a good giggle out of me. :) Take Care, Jenna83
Response: Jenna83, thanks. :) I am glad you like it and don't mind the quirkiness. The giant woodchuck was obnoxious but made me laugh too while making it. :)
Comment: i just opened your packet and looked through everything! i sort of want to move to VA now. :-) i love the comment about the donkey and horse pull being just like burning man --- they're probably more alike than we realize! i'm going to take my time going through it all again over the next few days.
Comment: Very cute socks! I often lack coherentness to the point where I need directions for my socks. I am also ornery enough to want to wear them on the wrong foot just because. I have lots of ways to get amusement out of these socks. Thank you!
Comment: Thank you so much for your thoughtful package. My son helped me open it andwe both were saying "ooh, pretty" about those beautiful notecards. I haven't had a chance to read the literature you included, but your home sounds so lovely. Everything is wonderful, but I especially love the rock. I can't believe you found a heart. This swap has been such a pleasure, thank you so much for hosting!
Comment: I LOVED your letter. It was so fun hearing about your life. The bandana is really pretty and great addition to my collection. I have been using them everyday in this heat (over 100f). The postcards are adorable and were such a fun surprise. Thank you so much and I am hoping to write back.
Comment: Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful Aunt, her tales and her fascinating finds with moi. I would have loved to gone to the voodoo shops with her AND visit the Holy Lands. I love her eccentric and varied tastes. Fossils, art, ghost stories, crazy swedish art. Mwah!
Comment: Wonderful letter that transported me to a place and time I have never visited. Your use of language was totally convincing. Thanks also for the modern letter with web links where I can learn more about your stories. Thanks especially for the lovely basket that will come in handy on my own farm!
Comment: Bat arrived today toting a (very cool) big ole embroidery book and boy were his winglets tired:) I've fed and watered and let him spend quality bat time with the buddy bat hanging at my crib. Chirping and sonaring away they are.
Thanks so much <3 !
Comment: Wow! Thanks!
This was such a fun swap, and I love what you sent!
I can tell you put a ton of time into this. You are a fantastic storryteller and I would encourage you to continue writing!
This package really made my day...thank you SO MUCH!
Comment: You are a person who truly understands the concept of "Goodie Box." Man, that was a big 'ole box crammed to the brim with goodies. Everything inside was great, but my absolute favorites are the handmade dish towel with squid, and the nickname letter! Thank you.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful altered calendar that you made just for ME! I love it!! It's so fun looking at all of the little details and personalizations! I'll really enjoy using it all of next year! :D
Comment: The Blue Ridge Mountains came to my doorstep in the form of a glorious package sent to me by the lovely and incredible swapper Changeling. Hand-dipped old-style crafted candles, a true Quill, a book of Ghost stories from the area, a collection of hand-written recipes like shoe-fly pie were among the things so beautifully presented. I have a colorful fabric scented herb pouch, a collection of wooden and metal whimsies,to include a hand carved wooden spoon, literature galore and a detailed well written letter describing the people, culture, music and history of the area. It was also so nice hearing about your talented family. I can just hear the old ballads, the fiddle and banjos and taste the lavender lemonade and herb treats. I also appreciate how you described your expierences with the recent tragic history of the area. You are a true historian, combining the past with the present and making it relevant to the future. Thank you so much.
