Response: How very cool to see a owl in the wild. I could hardly believe that one was just sitting there, we drove by and I had to think about what I had seen for a couple of minutes before I made my husband turn the car around! Some times the best camera though is our own eyes and brain =o)

Response: Actually they are up there a lot. They decorate the top, put up American and 12th Man flags up there. Light fireworks from the top, a friends hubby's band even played a concert up there. I wouldn't want to hang out up there though =o)

Response: We took a cruise to Alaska many years ago. I remember being on a hillside in Juneau and looking across to Douglas. It seemed really remote until our driving trip when you could go hours without seeing any one or signs of humanity. Thanks for the comment!

Response: Funny story about the goat, we had just came over a hill and saw the sun setting and stopped the car so I could snap a picture. Days later I looked at the picture on the computer and saw the goat! Checking the map it seems that there was a goat farm (ranch?) just below where we stopped. Guess he was enjoying the sunset too.
