Description:

This is a tip in style swap for an altered journal-we are sending pages instead of the whole book. You can either bind all your pages into a journal with covers you make OR you can cut 2 pages down to the 1" margin and glue the tip in page you receive between those cut off pages into an existing journal OR mount them in a frame OR keep them in a box till you decide what to do with them......

Create an art journal page with the theme of a Georgian October. We have awesome Octoberfests, pumpkin patches, those beautiful colored corn arrangements. gorgeous colored trees and of course trick or treat. Some people are not too fond of Halloween, so please check you partners profile if that's what you would be going for. The page should fit into a 5" x 7" journal. Besure to allow a 1 inch margin depending on what orientation your page would be inserted. What do you love about October in Georgia You will have 1 partner. You will only need to complete one side as one may want glue them onto another page. Be sure to sign the front just like any other beautiful art work you may do.

No restrictions on medium. You can do what you do best, drawing, collaging, fabric...whatever!

If this type swap is a hit, I'd love to do monthly ones.

Oh, gosh! I have no idea what a tip in journal is!
ducking for the GWTW toss that is surely to come from Taco

Really, I don't know what it is. Do you have a link or something for a poor, confused gooseberry?

ok...I did a search on the internet and came up with another swap here that says this: A tip in means it can be added to the journal by binding or glued into your partner's journal.

I'm ok now! Except that I don't have a journal...

What type paper do we use to make the tip-in on: ex. cardstock, or notebook paper?

Gooseberry,,,,go get you a journal...You can even use a composition notebook. Have a blast decorating the outside. Mine has rub on fairies, butterfly, flowers, some zentangles, few stick on jewels.

For type of paper, it would depend on what type of page you are doing. For example, I will be doing watercolor so will be using watercolor paper. For thinner paper that I've done acrylic on, I've gessoed it first. If you are doing a collage, maybe cardstock. Pen and ink or graphite, notebook paper would be adequate.
