Who doesn't love exciting gifts under the tree? Every year I decorate my tree and put some beautifully wrapped extras under there, just to add that special something!

In this swap you will have one partner who you will send 5 gifts to. The overall total spend will be £5. Obviously you can spend more but a minimum of £5. If you are a crafter you could make a gift to give you extra money to spend on the other 4. (But please use you common sense and don't stick a few stickers on something and call it Art!) You could send them something new from your personal stash. We all have been sent gifts that are lovely but not our taste or in someway unsuitable. All I ask is that you don't send anything cheap or nasty looking or obviously anything dirty or used. Every gift you send should make you smile and proud to send. The kind of gift that makes you wish you could see your partners face when they open it!

The gifts don't have to be profile based but obviously that would be a lovely gesture if you took the time to send at least one gift they want.

Every gift should be beautifully wrapped because remember it will be part of the receivers Christmas decor.

I am not putting too many restrictions on this but I will "vet" all participants and reserve the right to ban anyone who has unexplained 1s or hasn't got a well filled out profile (This usually says to me they don't intend on sticking around long.)

So we can buy everything we want ? ^^ Beauty products, decoration.... but of course we need to watch partner profile ? ^^

angelbear 11/19/2011 #

Hi Japansae, Yes you can buy/send the kind of things you would like to receive. Beauty items, craft items, Dvds, Cute stuff, Warm fluffy socks, sweet things, Toys, gadgets, interesting whimsies, candles, Books, bags, stationery. Anything that feels good to buy or send that you could imagine your partner smiling about on Christmas day. As you rightly say please do read your partners profile before you send just in case they have nut allergies and you have bought Peanut M & Ms! Or they are allergic to the scent of the bath oil you bought. Just be sensitive to their requests. and it might be nice to save buying at least one gift so you can send something off their wish list.

I have 2 bad ratings, but 1 of them is one the way to resolve. The other one, I'm still waiting for a response from a partner... Can I join in, please? I'm not a flaker! And is it possible to send something to my kids instead of me? They are so jealous that I get mail and they dont... Every time I go to the post office I see they disappointed look when there is nothing for them...

@Susiejude I am sorry you didn't want to join the swap. I can completely see where you are coming from. This did occur to me but by then it was too late. I guess I am hoping everyone sends as quickly as possible. And if the worst happens at least they will have some little gifts to look forward to after the big day.

Just a thought, buuuuut, for those of us in Europe, if the swap arrives too late for Christmas Day we could keep it till the 6th January - the feast of the 3 Kings and pretend we are Spanish. Traditionally Spanish children get their presents from the 3 Kings on 6th January and they leave their shoes out instead of stockings. I know some Spanish parents are starting to give the children their presents on Christmas Day nowadays but traditionally it was always the 6th January. I'm in U.K. and that's what I will do if it comes too late for Christmas.

I love your idea Gofeen, but I dont't think I can hold myself that long :). Is it possible for my partner to send something for my daughter too, just like anooshka? I recognize her problem as my daughter is very jealous too when I get mail.

angelbear 11/29/2011 #

I am so happy you guys are joining in the fun of this one. If we all try to send as quickly as possible there is no reason anyone should be disappointed and if they don't make it in time for the big day you can go with the Spanish idea and have a special day just for you a little later! I hope Ieloon and Anooshka's partners read their pleas. If you want to send gifts to my son that would be lovely too!

I would like an "I LOVE (city) shirt. I don't mind if I get only one present if you can get me one of those in stead. You would make my day
