Description:

Ok all you polymer clay lovers, lets swap ATCs. This will be the first of a series of polymer Clay ATCs I plan to host. Just to get everyone started, create an ATC any way you like. Later swaps will be directed at specific techniques.

Here are the requirements of the swap:

  1. You will have 2 partners and will make 2 ATCs for each partner.

  2. The ATC must be made of polymer clay. However, feel free to embellish with other medium if you choose, but the predominant features of the card should be polymer clay.

  3. You must put some effort into your ATC. No simple marbling of two or three colors. However if you want to use marble as your background and add additional polymer clay elements on top. That is more than acceptable. If you are at a loss please see:

    http://www.polymerclaycentral.com/index.html

    or

    http://glassattic.com/

    These two sites are full of techniques.

  4. Existing Swap-botters must have a 4.7 rating

  5. No more than 2 no-send in the past 4 months.

  6. Newbies to swap-bot are welcome. You must have a full profile and you must PM me before joining the swap.

  7. New to polymer clay….please feel free to join also. But PM me and let me know you are new to the medium. I’d be happy to help direct you to some tutorials and answer any questions you may have. I have a web cam and would even be willing to walk you through some techniques if needed. Not making any promises on the quality of these walk-through I’m pretty new at doing webcasts.

Note: veterans to polymer clay, I am opening this up to newbies to polymer clay. Please be fair when rating and use swap-bot’s rating guidelines. From the Swap-bot FAQs page:

5- I got my stuff and it met posted swap requirements

3- I got my stuff, but it didn't meet the posted swap requirements

1- I never got anything

Keep in mind that you are NOT rating your partners on whether or not you liked what you received, only on if it met the requirements of the swap. The fun thing about swaps is that you never know what you are going to get, and that means that sometimes you may not be thrilled with what you receive. Also, remember that everyone (including the person you are rating) can see who you are and what ratings and comments you gave. It is important to rate participants honestly, but it is also good to be kind even if you have to give someone the lowest rating.

And my number 1 rule:

Above all….have fun! Isn’t that what Swap-Bot is all about anyway!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The ATCs in the picture above are ones I created for the first swap I joined on Swap-bot. I’ve been addicted to this site since then.
I have also started a Swap-bot Group for Polymer Clayers...please feel free to join. Polymer Clay Swappers Group
