Description:

I am totally new to journalling, so if anyone has any ideas/suggestions for making this swap better, please let me know.

We have been asked to do some journal page swaps to keep the cost of postage down.

This swap is for one journal page on any topic of the sender's choosing.

We will be doing a series of these swaps so that you can "build" your own journal by inserting the pages into a book/journal/binder or any other format that you like.

Only one side should be filled so that the page can be glued into a permanent journal.

Added Apr. 30: Please sign and date the the front of page in an inconspicuous corner.

Maximum page size: 5" x 8" (12.5 cm x 20 cm)
Minimum page size: 3" x 4" (7.5 cm x 10 cm)

You may use portrait or landscape orientation.

Your journal page should have both images/graphics and text/writing.

No artistic skills are required - if you do not want to try drawing/painting, you may use found images (e.g., online images, die cuts, judicious use of stickers, images from magazines, etc.), created images (e.g., die cuts) as well as non-paper embellishments (e.g., buttons, fiber, ribbon, beads, etc.) if you wish. Just please don't make it really chunky.

I have found some links with helpful information for those of us new to journalling:

Everyone is welcome to try this swap - and please be kind in rating and providing feedback. (";)

If you have any questions, please pm me as I do not check my swaps daily. Thx.

Have fun!

I was looking for some easy ways to make the actual journal/book to hold these journal pages we will be swapping.

Here is a really simple video tutorial from our very own @gooseberry She uses recycled materials too. (";)

Oh, I love working on my art journal! It's so much fun. So I a watching for now until it is closer to sign up date.

I love using layers, lots of layers. Can make some really cool backgrounds. I also like to use things that wont let my journal close back down, like flat bottle caps, charms, buttons, and what not! So much fun!

I've been slacking lately on working on my art journal but I have pictures of things I've done already on my Flickr if anyone needs ideas and what not.

I advised my partner yesterday that I could not send this swap until I don't know when due to RL. Paige has very kindly agreed to make and send it on my behalf. What an amazing woman she is! Thx so much Paige!
