Description:

This swap is for us swappers who are also foodies! If you are someone who loves to go eat at a one-of-a-kind restaurants, try out the most popular place, or the (new) places everyone, magazines, new is raging about, etc. then this swap should be tons of yummy fun for you! ;D

This swap will be international so I can give everyone a chance to chime in the fun! And the best part is different countries have lots of different places with different kinds of food and this way we can call be introduced to something new and learn about something different too! Yay for culture exchange! Now on to the details so I can be more clear lol

You will be assigned one partner and you have 3 weeks time to start, finish and get this out to your partner. Since this theme is about bakeries, dessert bars, pastry houses, etc. you must either go to a bakery, dessert tea house or anything relating to desserts and pastries and you will be EATING THERE or if to go it if it's not a sit in place lol No restaurants or common chains (like Yum Yum Donuts, etc.) even if they have desserts there, this is a bakery/dessert theme and the fun in this is going to one of those places like you are on a foodie mission. You can definitely use this opportunity to go try out something new or use this as a reason to go out on a date or hang out with friends, family, etc. ;)

For this swap, you will:

make a greeting card inspired by the bakery you went to or about what you ordered or ate there. Everyone is super creative creative here and if you went to a French bakery, I'm sure you can craft up some fun meringue card with an Eiffel Tower decor or a cute strawberry shortcake card. Be creative, you can use stickers, markers, glitter, draw it or anything to make this a nummylicious project ^__~

write a letter (1-2 pages) to your partner about: how'd you find the place, why you chose that place, why it's your favorite, what you like about that place, what is your favorite dessert or pastry there, what you ordered, who recommended the place, etc. and basically everything relating to your visit there and of course the desserts!

a menu of the bakery or wherever you went and I know that some places don't have menus, so maybe a business card or a napkin (clean and unused) that has their business printed on it. There are some cases where they have nothing at all and if that is the case, then it is okay if you can't include this part of the swap, but if you have access, please do include.

a picture of you with the outside of the bakery and if you are camera shy, you can wear sunglasses, hate or any kind of funny disguise lol Make sure the business sign is in the picture too.

Sounds simple, yummy and fun? Who knows, you can probably make a new friend too! ^___^

I am making this newbie friendly, but for those with a well filled out profile (I will be checking) and the minimum rating for this 4.8 and no unexplained recent 1's or 3's. As this sounds like a simple swap, this swap does require a bit of work and time, so I would like to protect our wonderful swappers.

Please do not give your partners a low rating without contacting first. Some mails do get lost and some takes longer to get to you especially if it is delivered internationally. Please rate once you receive your swap from your partner and if they do include: a card, letter, picture and if possible a menu, then they deserve a 5 star because they have fulfilled the requirements. As with hearts, it is up to you to decide. <3

And, please don't go to Yum Yum Donuts, Auntie Anne's or fast chain places like that. It will just kill the fun in this and I don't think your partner would like it if they went out of their way to go to somewhere unique, did all that work and receive a swap from someone who went to a Wetzel Pretzel; that's just not cool. (Foodie shame and you definitely deserve a low ratiing!! <____<) There are some wonderful chain bakeries, but please use your best judgement to decide if it is high quality compared to something like Dunkin Donuts and think about if this is a place you would recommend to someone who has never been there or if it's a place you would personally love to share.

If this swap goes well, I would love to host another :)

Without further ado, happy swapping to all!
