just wondering how many partners we will have??

ByNickiG 05/29/2012 #

@JustKath2u not sure if I understand your question but you only send one pattern for one thing ie. dress, shorts, pants, shawl, purse, top etc. and one FQ to make the item. Oh I just reread your question only one (1) partner.

ok thanks... somehow I have a few patterns of the same one... so I could have used more than one partner... will just do it for the next swap,,, hehe

Like we need an excuse to have another swap!!! I love these kinds of swaps. I have a couple go-to patterns that I use most often. I drew them on heavy stabilizer so I didn't wear them out. I'd be glad to share them with you all. It will take me longer to write up instructions than to actually sew the item!

@ByNickiG I am concerned about breaking any copyright laws/rules by making copies of the patterns I have purchases. The ones I have from the internet that we have shared in our Group could possibly be used but not LiberyJane, Simplicity, Butterick, McCalls, etc.

What exactly did you want us to swap? Maybe I'm not reading this correctly. Thanks. -C

I am unclear on this as well. Can it be a pattern we have bought, as long as it is the original or does it need to be something we have designed ourselves?

Hi Sorry for the delay. If you are giving someone a pattern I don't see the harm in it as long as you or the receiver are not mass coping it and selling it for profit I think it's ok. I have more than my share of all kind of patterns store bought, pdf's, selfmade and lots of duplicates. If credit is given where do I thinks its ok. This would be no different than finding patterns at a yard sale, rumage sale, goodwill or if you decided you didnt want to sew anymore and gave ALL your stuff away. We are nit selling them we are gifting/swapping them. Thats my thoughts . I just thought it would be fun to swap some patterns.
