Description:

The July 2012 Fandom in a Mini Bag swap is the Star Trek fandom. This is in honor of Star Trek: the next generation's 25th anniversary

Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite Star Trek shows/movies, characters, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 5 different items although more is certainly encouraged.

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, charms, ornaments, bookmarks, address labels, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fanfic drabbles/ficlets, etc.

More specific ideas: com badge, Starfleet Academy stickers or acceptance letter, lists of your favorite episodes/quotes, recipes to feed into a replicator, Earl Gray tea, ship blueprints or little models, tie-in books, holodeck program list, a small red shirt, "alien" vocabulary word cheat sheets, an ode to your favorite rule of aquisition.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 quart. You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a quart in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag and it should close.

Assemble your bags during the month of July and please send by the deadline (August 1).

NO FLAKING ALLOWED! All flakers will be beamed away to the most boring planet in the galaxy, never to return.

I like all Star Trek series, but my all-time favorite is TNG. In order of passion, I'd say: TNG, DS9, Enterprise, Reboot, Voyager, TOS, all non-reboot movies.

Favorite characters: anyone from TNG (but especially Picard, Riker, Geordi, Data, Wesley, Guinan, Q, Worf, Barclay), Jadzia Dax, Sisko, Odo, Bashir, O'Brien & family, Tom Paris, Harry Kim, Neelix, Kes (S1-S3), The Doctor, Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Archer, Trip, Reed, Sato, Phlox.

If I were in the Star Trek 'verse, I'd probably be random Engineering crew member #4 on the left. LOL

And the time travel episodes/storylines are my absolute favorites out of all the series/movies. I'm SUCH a sucker for time travel/time loop stories.

I love all the series but the original will always be the best. I love Capt. Kirk, Spock and Scotty. If I were in Star Trek, I would be a nurse working with the illustrious Bones.

I do love all Star Trek, but I especially love TNG (all the major players: Picard, Riker, Troy, Geordi, Data, Wesley, Worf), Enterprise (Archer, Hoshi, Porthos, Tripp, Phlox) & Reboot (Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu).

If I were in Star Trek I would probably be someone living on Risa...who got to casually meet one of the captains or someone from engineering. ;)
