Description:

One of the January 2013 Fandom in a Bag swaps is the Star Wars fandom.

Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, movies/series,worlds, moments, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 7 different items although more is certainly encouraged (try to make it look full).

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, charms, ornaments, books, bookmarks, address labels, postcards, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fainfic, zines, etc.

More specific ideas: Jedi Academy exam sheet, podracing betting card/trick dice, hat/scarf to keep your partner warm on Hoth, mini light saber, mini versions of the droids your partner might be looking for, Han in carbonite ice cube trays, postcards or travel posters from different plants/systems, language dictionaries/cheat sheet, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 gallon (measures about 10 inches by 11 inches or 28cm by 26.5 cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a gallon in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of November and please send by the deadline (February 1).

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will be on the wrong side of a light saber.

My favorite characters are Obi-Wan Kenobi (especially Ewan!Obi, but I like older!Obi as well) and Qui-Gon Jinn. I adore the Jedi and think they're just fascinating as they go from peacekeepers to fighters to almost non-existent. I like Yoda, Luke, Leia, Han, C-3PO, R2-D2, Bail Organa, Ahsoka. and Wicket. I actually love the Ewocks because I was at the perfect age to love them when Return of the Jedi came out the first time. I love Star Wars LEGO sets, but I only have a couple and would love more (I do have two Obi-Wan LEGO keychains, so I don't need another). I also have all of the Jedi Apprentice series books. I like the Clone Wars TV series but mostly just because it's more Obi-Wan and I LOVE the master/apprentice dynamics & bond within the Jedi organization with Obi-Wan & Anakin and Anakin & Ahsoka. My favorite movies are: The Phantom Menace (I know, it's not so good, but I LOVE Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon SO MUCH, so I'll forgive it for everything else that is not great), A New Hope (I love good beginnings), and Return of the Jedi (I also adore happy endings). I love every prequel moment with Obi-Wan in it. Seriously. I love Ewan's Obi-Wan. If you make ATCs, I would LOVE ATCs of Obi or Qui (separate ATCs or together on one) or any other characters who are my favorites. I'm a fan of the "good guys" and the universe in general. Surprise me with any goodies to show me what you love about Star Wars too! :-)

My favorite episodes are The Empire Strikes Back, Return Of The Jedi and Revenge of The Sith. ;) I really like the Clone Wars movie/TV series, too. My favorite characters are Han Solo, Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, the Ewoks and Qui-Gon Jinn. The best Luke moments were in Return when he was giving Vader a formal Jedi funeral and the first battle with Vader in Empire. I ship Han/Leia. :) The best prequel moments was the part where young Anakin asks Padme if she is an angel in Phantom Menace, the scene where Anakin finds his mother in Attack Of The Clones, also the part where he and Padme get trapped in the factory and they're thrown in an arena with monsters and the scene where Anakin joins the sith and loses the battle on Mustafar with Obi Wan. I'm a life-long fan of Star Wars. :)

The first movie I saw in a theatre was Star Wars (A New Hope). I love the original three - A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of The Jedi. My fave characters are Yoda, Chewbacca, Han, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, R2D2, The Jedi. I even like the Ewoks and Jabba. Pretty much anyone in the originals. I have a large collection of Star Wars Lego. I also like the ships and vehicles (Millennium Falcon, AT-AT walkers, etc.). So anything related to the first movies - Stormtroopers, bounty hunters, whatever - is good for me. :)

My favorite episodes are the original three, but I think Empire Strikes Back is my overall favorite. I love the newer ones as well, though. My favorite characters are C-3PO, Yoda, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Leia, Darth Vader/Anakin, and anyone who isn't Jar Jar Binks. I think Lego Star Wars are the coolest things, but I don't have a very large collection. I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to Star Wars (:

I am a huge fan of the original three movies. Not so much the last three. Ewoks would probablly be the least favorite form the original three, but I like it all. Im a sucker for the retro!
