Description:

Konnichiwa and hajimemashita! I made a vector drawing to create a pattern for a tiny kimono ATC. If you can cut and paste tiny pieces of paper, this is the trade for you!

You will send out 1 ATC to 1 person.

Have a look at the pattern:

The complete instructions & tips for the design are here:

Kimono ATC

â–º Please read the complete instructions & tips linked to above. Save the pattern from the WordPress [right click and choose "save image as"]; it should be scaled to fit on 2.5 x 3.5.

â–º You can use a variety of patterned papers from different sources. You do not need to specifically use Japanese papers.

â–º Maybe try making a tiny kimono ATC before you commit to the swap. It is tiny!

â–º Paper the back side so it looks finished. Please sign and date your work.

â–ºOK for newbies with filled out profiles and imperfect swappers that need redemption. Please have complete profiles and explanations.

â–º Include your screen name and the name of the swap in the envelope when you mail it.

â–º I will angel any flakes after you give them a 1 rating.

â–º Please message me with any problems with partners or any technical problems.

â–º Feel inspired, look at some photographs: Japanese Kimonos 1915 - 1940

I hope to carry on with this swap as an ongoing swap and we can all trade a variety of kimonos. I will renew this in the future and hopefully we can have our own kimonos wardrobe!

WARNING! Tiny kimonos may be addictive. ☺

This is so great! I want to swap more than one!

ARTG33K74 12/20/2012 #

@atcdesigner I will try to do this once a month so people can build up a bunch! ☺

SPuppet23 12/20/2012 #

Yay! I shall join. Loved making the last ones! ^_^

ARTG33K74 12/21/2012 #

@SPuppet23 Awesome!

stevado 01/ 1/2013 #

I do not understand the size, is it 2,5 x 3,5 cm (that is very small), or is it 2,5 x 3, 5 inch, or something else.

danushaj 01/ 7/2013 #

@ARTG33K74 only one partner this round?

ARTG33K74 01/12/2013 #

@danushaj Yes, I am sticking to one partner. It seems easier for people. I will host this ongoing. ☺

Lizard 01/14/2013 #

@stevado it is in inches. So three and a half inches by two and a half inches. That is the ATC size, the kimono will, of course, be a bit smaller than that.

stevado 01/14/2013 #

Thanks ARTG and Lizard, I realize this is my first tiny kimono, but I will make it a beautiful one...........

ARTG33K74 01/18/2013 #

Sorry so slow - partners are ready now! ☺ Thank you!

ARTG33K74 01/18/2013 #

I moved the send by date out to 2/04/2013 if that helps.

Gnoe 01/29/2013 #

Eeks! Something went wrong with my print so the kimono came out a little larger than 3.5" x 2.5". It became a A5 size ATC, hope that's okay?

Gnoe 01/29/2013 #

I wanted to add that I already sent it, you see, I only found out just now that it's too large. :(

ARTG33K74 01/30/2013 #

@Gnoe Size problems would be due to your printer settings and/or print driver software. The size variation is at the discretion of your recipient. I would return it request you make it the correct size if you had gotten me. Please communicate with whom you mailed it to. Standard ATC size has external boundaries of 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
