My spectacular cat is a grey rescued boy named Ranger.

My cat will be two years old in May. His name is Archer. He is black and white... Long and thin. He has so much personality. He likes to think he runs the dog, but I am pretty sure the dog doesn't even know what he is up to. Archer has no other kitty friends and I think a kitty pen pal would be good for him =)~

There are 2 four legged kitties in this household. Squirrel is B&W longhair rescue from Wisconsin. He loves catnip and fried chicken and peanut butter. He's going on 10 or 11 now. Hasn't slowed him down much, but it is bringing out his lap cat tendencies. Zuki is a brown tabby with delusions of calico-hood. Adopted as a kitten here in Misawa, Japan when we were here last time. She is about 2 yrs younger than Squirrel and most certainly the Queen of the house! She likes catnip and salmon (raw!) and shrimp. She is Japanese! She's not a lap cat, but she has this fabulous ability to turn on her "black hole gravity" as I call it when she wants cuddles. What I see is her settle down next to me and suddenly I can't move. I'm completely caught in her gravity well! All there is to do is give her all the attention she wants.

Oh yeah, and Squirrel loves to meet other cats!

We have 3 kitties. Jadzia is a black super silky lap cat who is a chicken hawk. She is very vocal about being feed on schedule, which is funny since she is the thinnest of the 3. Skunky is my hubby's cat and the only male. He is a big hefty moose of a tuxedo cat, but has the most gentlest of souls. Last is our Siamese Suki who I swear has narcolepsy as she is usually passed out snoring somewhere. Her favorite spots to pass out are on the catnip scratching post, on a chair by the window or in the heap of blankets on our bed.

The are 2 kitties in the household. One is more hubbie's cat, Misty. She's a senior grey-haired feline. She's not friendly. She can hiss and is the queen of throw ups. She seems to like to take water from the shower tap now, waiting for you to help her. She likes me to feed her, and enjoys milk products of yogurt and ice cream. Yum!

My favourite is Vanessa, 3-year-old, also short grey-haired feline. She follows you around like a dog and now, with winter, is a wonderful scarf on your shoulders. She enjoys climbing and vocal at times. She's s small cat, but mighty in spirit and personality. She a wonderful pet to have.

My kitty, a 12 year old very active part Maine Coon named Diamond has been in my life since he was 5 weeks old. He was a family cat when I was in high school, lived through 2 house fires, and was unfortunately in a house full of dogs later in life. I rescued him from my mother and he now lives a peaceful life with me, getting all the attention he begs for (and table scraps, oops) as the Maine Coon in his makes him VERY dog-like in personality. He has served as a therapy cat for me, as I've been going through depression and anxiety for about 6 months. He is always there when he knows I'm not feeling well and he calms me down.

I also adopted a 12 year old Tortico in August, named Muffin, so Diamond has a buddy. They are the best of friends and both the sweetest and most friendly cats I've met in my life. I'm truly blessed.

My cat is 3 years old girl Nuppu. She's very friendly and cute tabby cat. Nuppu had a friend but she was sick and died some time ago so Nuppu needs new friends! She's very playful and loves all toys and also catnip treats :)

Nuppu is my best and dearest friend :) Without her I would be very lonely. She's always with me, beside me or in my lap :)

Mar will be 16 on March 7th! He is a 19 pound black and white panda-coon (his mom Micky is a maine coon!) He is a spoiled cat who happens to be my best friend. He has fought & won a battle with cancer! He has allergies - mostly to fleas and he hates flea meds. He loves pasta, doughnuts and any other type of Garfield like food!

My little ones are Earl Grey and Blackberry - guess what colors they are! Earl is the big brother and a TOTAL Mommy's boy. His favorite things are: Mommy, the electric blanket, food....probably in that order. Blackberry is the mischievous little sis -- she likes to sneak up on her brother and attack him, even though he outweighs her by a good few pounds. Her favorites are: her Da Bird toy, belly rubs and cat treats. They are BOTH very spoiled and have cat trees in pretty much every room of the house. They cuddle up in the people bed at night...or should I say they let me sleep in the big cat bed....

I have 3 kitties! Chompers, my boy, his birthday is on Valentine's Day! His name is Chompers for a reason but he has mellowed a lot in his years. He is a beautiful black and white shorthair and an excellent older brother to his 2 naughty little sisters! Beeky is my Princess Kitty! My little striped tabby who loves to cuddle and watch tv. And my newest baby at just 8 months old, Sweetpea! She is my sweet fluffy Tortoiseshell kitty and I love her to pieces! She is my little furry shadow and keeps me sane when life gets tough. All my kitties are spoiled and pampered and well loved!!!

I'm so loving the profiles of the fabulous felines here! Not only are the cats spoiled, pampered and adored, they are wonderful sanity-savers! We humans are so fortunate!

We have three cats--two inside and one outside--because he will not use the litter box--he's too territorial I guess. All are either rescued or adopted from a shelter.Geoffrey Chaucer (I'm retired English prof) was adopted as a kitten from a shelter in November 1999--he is the outside guy and is BFF with our German Shepherd, Bailey. He loves to bathe the dog who loves it immensely. Baxter was adopted as a kitten from the same shelter in 2010 as my birthday gift. Shortly after we adopted him, I was traveling to and presenting at several professional conferences--5 of them in 4 weeks. So it is not a surprise that he bonded with my hubby and is his cat. Baxter is wild, silly, reckless, curious, racing around the house much of the day. Our grandson (4 yr), says his long name should be "Baxter Mischievous, Rascal Oliver." Elsa joined us as a kitten on July 5, 2010 by default, so to speak. A colleague came to my office that morning since he knew I loved cats and asked for help rescuing the cat that apparently had ridden inside his engine all the way to campus. Several students joined me and persisted through countless times of catching her and losing her, only to have her race under yet another car. Hubby had the day off for the holiday--called him to bring a cat carrier for her to help use keep her once we caught her. He arrived just as we were getting a good grip on her under an SUV. He planned to take her to the shelter since we had just adopted Baxter in April--I reluctantly agreed. SURPRISE! The shelter was closed for the holiday. That sealed the deal--she was meant to be ours. Her name is from the lioness in the movie, Born Free that I loved so much as a child. Through numerous cats, I'd never had a female that didn't already have a name. I finally have my Elsa who so gentle, quiet, sweet, but just a bit skittish about being picked up even by us--and for good reasons! She is nearly 3 yr old now and still runs and looks like she did as a kitten. I could go on forever about other cats but will stop as they are no longer with us. Aren't cats the most wonderful, loving creatures in spite of the fact that many think they are aloof and indifferent. They are not that at all@
