Description:

I recently joined a public swap that this is based on with some changes. The basic premise is to buy your notecards so that they actually benefit the artist that designed them. Direct from a studio or gallery, etsey shop, or web page. We will each have 2 partners to send a card to with a note written on it telling why your chose the card or if you know information about the artist. Maybe you will find something new that you like. You don't have to but if you like you can send an extra card for your partner to keep or use.

As some of you might have to order them I will give you a full month to find and send your cards. This will be international as it will only be one or two notecards so it should not cost over the basic mail rates.

Standard rules. I will angel if I have to but I don't want to as we are all good swappers.

The photo is not mine but it shows a sample of the type of cards that could be sent. The photo is from one of my favorite artists in California. The ones I will be sending support a Kansas Artist.

Just checking that it is OK for the cards to be reproduced work. Most of our local artists sell cards with printed reproductions of their work rather than cards with the original artwork done directly on them.

My question is the same as spinjenny's. My local Artist is now passed away and they sell reproductions of her work at her local gallery that I purchase.

Reproductions are fine as that is what they sell here. What I have seen here is the artists sell their original art piece but they also sell reproductions of pieces and lots of them also print notecards or postcards and sell them also. Either on the internet or through the galleries that participated in the monthly art walks here in town.
