Description:

I recently participated in a leftover greeting card swap and got the nicest assortment of cards from Australia. I want to do this again! :)

This is an international swap. You will send two partners 5 different greeting cards each. No holiday cards -- but you can include birthday, thank you, congratulations, get well, etc. cards. Even pretty blank cards would be great. Please make each card different, and don't forget to include the envelopes!

These cards can be "leftovers" from a boxed set you have, or you can get new ones if you want. (So I'm not putting a dollar value on the swap.) Just make sure they're nice cards in good condition.

Have fun!

Note: I'll be dropping swappers with a rating of lower than 3.75.

P.S. On the question of handmade cards, I think that really nice ones can be great to receive! So here's the rule: if you want to send handmade cards, please don't send more than two to each partner (i.e. at least three should be store-bought cards). Thanks!

Can the cards be hand made? I have a ton of nice cards that I have made myself that I could use in this swap. Please advise. susi

Hey, why not? :) I certainly have no objections to that!

VelveteenRabbit 11/24/2006 #

Actually, just to be fair -- how about we say no more than two handmade cards out of the five per partner. I'll edit the swap instructions accordingly...

Hello. I'm new to Swap-bot, so I don't have any ratings yet. Does this mean that I may be dropped from the swap? I hope not..it sounds like fun! Diana :)

VelveteenRabbit 11/29/2006 #

Nope, you can participate. :) If you're new, most organizers only ask that you fill out the profile. You can't get a rating if you're not allowed to swap! :)

I received my first ever swap package but there is no name and no return address so I can't rate you. It has a beautiful green notecard and a desert blank card as 2 of them. If you mailed this to me please drop me an email so that I can rate you as a great timely swapper!

user5076 12/ 8/2006 #

I've gotten both of my card sets. Got the email from my mystery swapper too! Thank you ladies.

Mary Jane and Simone, I am so glad they arrived and are OK. This was fun.

MsMartiP, Thank you for the beautiful cards. I couldn't believe you gave me the "Dance Like there's nobody watching" as it is a fav. saying of mine! Did you make the pin? Thanks for all of it.

user5076 12/12/2006 #

You're very welcome Janet. Yes, I made the pin, one of my holiday obessions each year LOL. So glad you enjoyed the card. This was my very first swap and it turned out just peachy keen!

Simone... OH.MY.GOODNESS. Your greeting cards are fabulous. Thank you for taking the time to make the two blank cards. They're absolutely gorgeous. And your holiday postcard is so beautiful, did you make those for Christmas? The postcards you sent are so cute and I don't think I can bring myself to use any of them. lol. Again, thank you for such a great swap!

Mary Jane, I really love the greeting cards you sent. They're all so nice and on heavy card stock - love the feel of them. And you're too sweet to send extras for my little guy. I will definitely be using them. Thank you so much for a terrific swap!

Dear Ann H,

Thank you so much for the beautiful cards! I was very excited to recieve them! My boyfriend and I got a good laugh at the card with all of the smiles on it where one face is cut out.

Thank you so much! They are all very special!

LaDolceVita 12/15/2006 #

Mary Jane -- I got your cards! Thanks so much! They're wonderful!

VelveteenRabbit 12/20/2006 #

You're welcome FlouncyPenguin! :) Glad you all have enjoyed this swap! :) I'm eagerly awaiting my own package.

VelveteenRabbit 01/ 3/2007 #

Jenna, it appears that you and I will get nothing from "nothing". Unfortunately he or she did not have a rating when I started the swap so I had no way of knowing the result would be a no-send. In fact, I don't even remember seeing the name "nothing" -- that would have been a red flag for me. Hope you got something from your other swap partner, as I did!
