Swap categories: Random Items  Miscellaneous  Letters & Writing
Number of people in swap:58
Location:Regional - USA
Type:Type 2: Flat mail
Last day to signup/drop:May 1, 2013
Date items must be sent by:May 3, 2013
Number of swap partners:5
Description:

My mail box is lonely and I have not hosted a seal and send swap in a long time.

So, here is how it goes.... You will have five partners. You will put anything in an envelope and seal it BEFORE your partners are assigned. When partners are assigned you will address and mail your envelopes.

What should you put in the envelope?

That is up to you. It should be simple, but something you would like to receive ( NO TRASH).

Ideas: Postcard Bookmark bag of tea A poem A joke A recipe Stickers

Senders choice- obviously because you SEAL the envelope before your partners are assigned.

No recent 1's or 3's. I have the right to ban anyone if I feel the need.

Happy swapping.

Aw, this sounds fun to join, but I'm too much of a control freak lol. I'll watch for now.

inskydiamonds 04/26/2013 #

Just got my envelopes ready!

slamophile 04/29/2013 #

You say -- "You will put anything in an envelope and seal it ......... " So does this mean I would put one item, only, in the envelope ?

cmdunderground 04/29/2013 #

@slamophile I know I plan on sending several items. I like to send what I would want to receive.. ..Just a suggestion

pinkqueen 04/30/2013 #

Yes you could put in one item. A recipe, a poem, joke,etc... you can always put more than one. As usacricket said, it is always a good idea to send something you would like to receive, however your partners should rate you 5 as long as you send something. (No Trash)

This is my first swap :) Really excited and I have a ton of ideas but not entirly sure how it all works. Will you e-mail us the addresses?

Sandyyoga 05/ 1/2013 #

Hi I have left this a bit late but may join anyway I live in the uk so anything I post to usa has customs form and limited so I would only be able to send "paper stuff" not chocolate, bads or tea bags for example is this ok

renderedarchaic 05/ 1/2013 #

@Sandyyoga this is listed as a regional USA swap, which means only people within the USA may join. Regional swaps are usually done to keep postage prices (and shipping times) down for all participants. You are welcome to join international swaps or regional UK swaps. :)

Sandyyoga 05/ 1/2013 #

Hi ok forget the above I have put the items in five envelopes already !!

inskydiamonds 05/ 1/2013 #

I'm hoping pinkqueen kicks anyone out not from the US. I really don't want to pay international postage. :-/

Sandyyoga 05/ 1/2013 #

Sorry only just read your reply I would be happy to pay the postage if anybody else was willing to do the swop?

user2637 05/ 1/2013 #

@NatalieBelle - when the partners are assigned (sometime after midnight S-B time, which is the same as NY time), you will get an email saying they have been assigned. Then you come back to this page and in the upper right, there will be a little box and one option will be "See the partners you send to". That is where you get the addresses.

Also, don't forget to click the "I have sent my items" (or something like that) after you mailed your envies. Alsoalso, you should fill out your profile. :)

@Sandyyoga why not host a swap of your own for that area of the world? That way your pre-sealed envelopes will not be wasted. Just ask, the host, but most hosts say sure and give a line of credit for her in your swap.

fawnscrafts 05/ 1/2013 #

This sounds like a great idea!

I would love to join, but I am heading out of town for a business trip and do nto want to be worrying about making the swap deadline.

Sandyyoga 05/ 2/2013 #

EricaAgPie 05/ 3/2013 #
