This is a ribbon by the yard swap. You will swap 2 yards of ribbon with 2 different partners. You can use one yard of two different ribbons if you want but pieces must be at least one yard in length. If something happens that you can not complete the swap please withdraw before closing. Once the swap is closed you are considered as committed! Please make sure the ribbon you send is something useable, not stained or tattered (unless tattered is the type of ribbon- give only what you would like back in return. New swappers welcome - this is an easy one to test the waters with!

If you have 3 or more low rating responses I will have to ban you from the swap as I do not want ANY dissapointed swappers here. Thank you for understanding.

Is this international? I don't want to do any mailing that involves waiting in line at the PO until after the holidays!

user5051 12/ 1/2006 #

How would you send it? a padded envelope?

kcfroglady 12/ 1/2006 #

Yes, International swap most of the time this ribbon can be sent in a standard envie without having to fill out any custom forms or anything. I have never had a problem with that at all and I send often to others in several countries. ~~~Karyn

I am trying to weed out people with no sends as I don't want any dissapointments for this swap ~~~Karyn

I just sent a padded envelope with 15 different yards of ribbons to Poland (for another swap) and the post office made me fill out a customs form. Postage was fairly reasonable, around $3. I'm excited for this one too! :)

drewzel 12/ 4/2006 #

I'm new, so this would be one of my first swaps! Excited!

user3287 12/12/2006 #

Count me in! I recieved a load of ribbons from Polan just recently. Yeah! I love this, dont let me down!

user4258 12/12/2006 #

Hi! I just signed up and want to make sure I send the right thing...do you mean ribbon only in the strictest sense or borders in general? For example, are lace borders or something of irregular width ok?

VelveteenRabbit 12/12/2006 #

Ack, I have to drop out. Too much going on right now! Oh well, I'm sure there will be many more ribbon swaps in the future. Have fun! :)

kcfroglady 12/14/2006 #

CraftyFox - variety is ok - I don't really know what you mean by borders is that like rick-rack or something? ~~~Karyn

kcfroglady 12/14/2006 #

Oh VeleteenRabbit we will miss you but yes the ribbon swap will appear again LOL ~~~Karyn

user4258 12/14/2006 #

sorry, i've been crafting in German too long and got my terms mixed up :) what I meant to say was TRIM. I've got loads of different trims, and some are really fun, but I wouldn't necessarily call them ribbon, although they can of course be used for the same purposes. I'll keep things simple and stick to ribbon and maybe just throw in something else as an extra treat. Thanks for your reply! ~tatjana

Hi Diana Glad you liked the ribbons and the paper too. It was bought in a local homewares shop as wrapping paper but it looks slightly Japanese. Cheers Helle
