Description:

For this swap, you will have 1 partner and send an envelope at least 6x9, but you can go bigger of course!! :)

You will send at least 15 items, which must include at least 3 hand-made items. Small items are considered as 1 regardless of quantity (for example, 10 stickers or labels count as 1 of your required items).

You can send a combination of recycled, upcycled, altered and new items for this swap.

Ideas/suggestions:

  • vintage/reproduction ephemera
  • magazine cutouts
  • hand-made postcards, tags etc
  • vintage postcards
  • photographs/cabinet cards
  • used postage stamps
  • die-cuts or punched shapes (nothing tiny and you must make sure they're not torn/broken)
  • CLEAN wrappers if they are unusual or foreign
  • envies (store-bought and hand-made but you must include at least 5 and they will count as 1 of your items - no tiny envies please unless you're sending them as extras/freebies for your partner :))
  • stickers (no reward or child/parenting type)
  • labels
  • post-its
  • memo sheets (at least 5 large or 10 small)
  • flag/tabs
  • maps
  • chipboard
  • journaling tags
  • buttons
  • washi tape

Hand-made items can include tags, envies, labels, etc.

Please only send clean items that don't have any strong odors and make sure to send fun, interesting things you'd love to get yourself. Sender's choice but check your partner's profile for dislikes (for example, please don't send religious items to someone who isn't into religion and conversely don't send something with a pentagram to someone who states they are Christian - obvious stuff like that :).

Remember to include your swapbot user name and the name of the swap, as well as a personal note to your swap partner.

I highly recommend taping the envelopes you send your swaps in - especially if it's not a bubble mailer - and making sure that you have accurate postage.

If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, feel free to PM me!

I wish this was USA, but this looks like a cool swap.

I'm making this international because flat swaps aren't as expensive to send - and it would be unfair to make all the swaps US only :)

I agree it is unfair to make all swaps US, but would you consider making this a US Swap too or next? I know it is flat, but I tend to overdo it and it ends up costing way too much. so I tend to only participate in US swaps.

would three handmade envies count as the 3 handmade items to be included?

sunshinegirl76 07/18/2013 #

You should not have 3 identical handmade items - I mean, it's ok if you want to include 2 handmade envies and then maybe a tag or something. Variety is key here! Also - for handmade envies I really want to make it clear that they should be a decent size and nice, not flimsy :)
