Vintage Market: Come Fly With Me!

This swap will be a tribute to the golden days of travel - you're invited to fasten your seatbelts and get to work on a fabulous swap featuring vintage travel ephemera!

Both genuine and reproduction vintage ephemera are ok for this swap. You'll find lots of great resources through Google, Flickr etc but you can also use Cavallini products and other art supplies, stamped images etc.

For this swap, you will make an envie with a vintage travel theme - you can pick a particular destination, airline, or just generally go all out about vintage travel. Please stick to the period of 1960s or earlier when choosing images as much as possible.

Envie sizes minimum 5x7 for international swap partners, 6x9 for stateside swap partners.

Envies can be store-bought, hand-made or upcycled from bills/junk mail so long as they're clean. You should decorate most if not all of the front and back of your envie, and you can use a combination of techniques ranging from collage to painting etc. The sky is the limit!

Include a flat surprise for your swap partner (maybe some images you clipped from a vintage magazine, a vintage coaster from a hotel, postcard, used/unused vintage postage) and a note to tell her about your past travels, future travel plans and/or what you love about vintage travel ephemera.

I'm leaving plenty of time so please be sure to make this a great quality piece of work for your swap partner.
