Description:

This is a swap for cultivating creativity and making art :)

You will sit down with these items (and these items ONLY!): a brown paper sack, one writing utensil, a magazine, one punch (hole or shape) a few rubber stamps and one stamp pad, adhesive of choice, scissors, one peice of yarn or ribbon, and one roll of decorative tape. Then.... You will create something :) :) Anything goes!!

This is completely and utterly SENDERS choice. It's about YOU listening to your creative voices and making something that stretches, pleases, or inspires you. When you have completed tour item please write a small note about the experience. also, add uour username and the name of the swap! Then you will package the item somehow (you may use other envelopes, boxes etc for this, the packaging is not part of the challenge.) and send it to your assigned partner :)

It is a swap for experienced swappers only. You need to have completed at least 10 level 3 swaps, have a filled out profile and be open minded about different types of art to join! You need a perfect rating (or to message me that you have a 3 or 1 from the past that you've tried to rectify or is unfair.) This is a USA swap and when you join you agree to complete the swap, send on time and rate when you receive.

If you have any questions, please message me or ask them here :) Lets get our craft on :)

I love the idea, but how about a little more time to complete it :)

Beth! You know I'm always willing to make my swaps more appealing to you!!

But, this time I think I'm going to leave it how it is, for 2 reasons.

1st, I'm going out of town the 29th. I wanted to insure I would be able to monitor that everyone had sent out and I have rated before I leave town.

And 2nd, the idea is that you sit down with these things and jist DO IT. Less thinking, less googling ways to make it better or even fixing your mistakes? I don't anticipate that everyone/anyone should complete it in one setting (maybe you need to let glue dry? Or only have twenty minutes to craft a day.) But I imagine anyone can find one or two days within the time limit to complete it.

If this goes well, and people enjoy it, I would like to host more like it, and the next one, I promise to allow more time :)

Plus, it's senders choice, so if you join today you have two weeks :) :) :)

I love the challenge of making something with limited supplies! Glad to see this swap.

Excellent idea. Use those creative minds.

Any length for the piece of yarn/ribbon?

snailmaillover 10/11/2013 #

Any length is fine. :) You can take the whole spool to the table, but don't get too crazy. Haha. Mostly, it's just one type. :)

this is an awesome swap, will be looking for the 2nd one, too much going on right now to join.

snailmaillover 10/14/2013 #

Thanks! @thequilterslink I'll let you know when I host it :)

Chaton13 10/15/2013 #

This sounds like a lot of fun! I'd like to join if possible! I already have ideas swimming around!

Chaton13 10/15/2013 #

What about scissors?

snailmaillover 10/15/2013 #

Yep. Scissors are listed.

snailmaillover 10/15/2013 #

And I'm sorry, Chaton13, you must be rated to join this one!
