Description:

This is the USA/CANADA only version of the swap. Feel free to also sign up for the International version, if you wish. Same themes but the possibility of getting internationally stamped images!!

If you're into rubber stamping even a lil bit, you know they can be pretty expensive. Soooo, why not trade stamped images with one another and to put a twist on that, make it into a scavenger hunt??

Find and stamp ONE RUBBER STAMPED image, 5 times on a neautral (white, cream, brown, etc) cardstock, in black or brown ink, for each of the follow categories...

  1. a single flower
  2. can be eaten
  3. words only
  4. anything to do with summer or the beach
  5. anything with wings

Make sure your images are stamped completely, cleanly and neatly. Allow an inch around the edge of your stamped images and leave them just ink on paper (no embossing or coloring the images). This will allow your partner to "use as they choose". Please, no tiny or 1 in. stamps, unless you include those as extras!!

Just one partner. Please have at least a 4.7 and no, no sends w/in the last 3 mos. I will check before partners are set and will consider private swaps with anyone else. If more than 20 sign up, this may become a monthly swap, w/ different themes to "hunt" for... or we may combine the two into just one (feedback on that appreciated).

This is a swap you could already start stamping for now. Since its not partner or profile specific. If you want to wait, finding images that match your partner AND the list above, just might earn you a heart. You could also send more images than required or more than one image, per theme. Extras are extra and not required for a good rating, just hearts.

As long as you receive 25 images (5 each of 5 stamps), in a timely manner, a 5 should be recvd. If you don't like or can't find use of the images you receive, send them to someone who can or as an extra in another swap!!!

Keep in mind some of us have more variety or quanity in our collections of rubber stamps than others, and thats okay!! This is all about sharing what you have without your partner having to spend the money for the whole stamp.

Ps. If possible u may want to include the name of the company the stamp is from or any other identifing info, so if your partner REALLY loves it they might be able to track down and make a purchase!! This is also not required and would be considered extra. (ex: H196 "Bee-bop Bouquet" 2006 by Stampendous!)

How do people reuse the stamped images? I'm curious...

havehope76 06/29/2008 #

They can be used however you would use normally use rubber stamps. To make greeting cards, tags, altered books, ATC, collages, scrapbooking... it depends on what other type of crafting you do. You could cut them out, color them, embellish them, emboss them, glitter them up, distress them, mat them and use them however you choose. Hope that helps.

Putting them on sticker paper would be really helpful. Then you could use them to decorate the envelopes we use.

Very interesting idea, I never thought of using them that way. If you do that for this swap, that would be "extra".

KerrWriter 07/ 6/2008 #

oh, i like the sticker paper idea!

Can we use colored inks?

havehope76 07/10/2008 #

You may use colored inks on whatever extras you may want to include, but for the requirements of the swap, please keep it black or brown, these being neautral colors and making the images use-able, as the receiver sees fit.

btw, I have posted a round 2!!!

adoluxia 07/12/2008 #

this is sooo cool but i think having more than one partner would be better - you'd get a really great, huge selection.

havehope76 07/12/2008 #

More than 1 partner is something I might consider for future rounds, but the first TWO are set and just one partner. After partners are posted, if I dont end up being yours, I wouldnt mind swappin' one on one w/ you or with anyone.

I think fishing qualifies for summer fun!

Starwatcher 07/18/2008 #

It is for me! I look forward all winter long to fishing with my friend who comes up from California each summer just so we can go fishing together. It is much toocold to fish in the winter and even the Spring and the Fall is a trial. So indeed, fishing qualifies for summer fun!.
