Description:

Easy swap. Newbies with filled out Profiles encouraged. I understand we all have to start somewhere and this is a great swap to do that. Send a stuffed envelope with assorted goodies to one partner. Please send, at least a long business size envelope that measures approximately 4 x 9 inches, however you can certainly choose to go bigger if you want to. There is no minimum or maximum number of items to send, just make sure your envelope is stuffed full. The items you send are SENDER'S CHOICE. This is not a Profile swap, so please do not spend a lot of money shopping for profile surprises. This is more for you to send items that you have on hand, that are in good usable condition. This does not mean you can send your trash, send only items in good, usable condition. Please do not send items like, your used candy wrappers, or written on apt. card, or loose memo papers or post it scraps, etc. Do send items from the list below. If you are unsure of items, you can ask me. Examples Include (but are not limited to )

Post cards,

Greeting Cards

Ribbons

Bookmarks

Buttons

Scrapbook papers, chipboard, etc ephemera

beads,charms

game pieces

altered art supplies

stickers

recipes/recipe cards

old photographs

small books

handmade items

craft supplies

teas/coffee/drink mixes

fabric scraps, sewing items

ribbons, yarns

rubber stamps or stamped images

movies/dvd's/cds

seeds

Or anything else you want to share that is in good, usable condition.

PLEASE REINFORCE your envelope with tape at the seams or use a larger envelope, if you think there is a chance it will explode during mailing. You may also choose to put stuff in a baggie in case the envelope tears in transit. This is a USA only swap. Have fun. No recent no sends allowed. Please rate your partner. No FLAKERS ALLOWED. Do Not Flake. As always, I reserve the right to ban individuals.

Please do not send individual scraps of memo paper/notebook/post-it type paper, etc. You may send the whole memo pad or notebook but scraps of note paper does not equal scrapbook papers.

New Swappers- Profile Help: To fill out your profile, go to Profile. Then select Edit Profile. Next select Personal. You will be brought to a screen where you can fill in the sections or add your own information. Things like favorite colors, crafts you do, items you collect, hobbies, likes/dislikes, etc...all help us get to know you and it helps your partner to send you items that you will like or that you can use.

Also, please read the Help! section (the link is on the top right hand side by the Forum and Group links), Swap-bot has a great FAQ and new user information section, that is a must read for new users.

USA Only. No recent unexplained low ratings.

this is supposed to be a 1-stamp, up-to-one-ounce kinda stuffed envie swap, correct?

wolfeagle 07/15/2014 #

No, the postage will depend on what you send your partner, how heavy it is, how you pack it (size) and how you send it (first class, media mail, priority, etc.) But in all cases, it should be more then one stamp, just because the envelope should be stuffed full and will be thick.

Ohhhh.... I can't join right now, but, I hope you repeat this swap again, sometime down the line.

wolfeagle 07/16/2014 #

I will. ;) See you next time around.

I am dying to see a Canadian/International version of this!!

wolfeagle 07/17/2014 #

I used to do an International version, but the postage just became to high for me to host. :(

JenniferKG 07/18/2014 #

Joined! :) Would you have any objection if I "stole" your swap - with your permission, of course - and hosted an international version? I can't commit to doing it RIGHT away, but I would be up for it. I love international mail. :)

wolfeagle 07/18/2014 #

Go for it, @JenniferKG Anyone can host a stuffed envelope type of swap, and I know there are many International swappers who would enjoy one. ;)

Kaylyn 07/22/2014 #

Waytobee 07/24/2014 #

We've packaged everything up now were just waitin on our partner! 😉

wolfeagle 07/24/2014 #

I've started checking profiles, and banning people. If you are banned, I will let you know why. If it's something you can correct before I assign partners, I can let you back in the swap...just let me know.

I just sent a package yesterday for a "Blind Wrapped Surprise Swap" that was international. Postage was $16.95 to Germany for a 9x12 bubble envelope weighing 14.40 ounces. I enjoyed choosing and wrapping my gifts for this swap and can't wait to receive my "surprise" package but like wolfeagle mentioned postage can be high..... also thanks wolfeagle for letting newbies participate---

wolfeagle 08/ 2/2014 #

Yes, International postage can be quite high. At least in the US, we can use flat rate envelopes and boxes for heavier mail. And, you are welcome. We were all new at one time.
