Description:

NON-CHRISTMAS SWAP – FOR EVERYONE & ANYONE!

I like the holiday season. I DO! But it’s not even mid-November yet, and I’m already on Christmas overload. Christmas commercials on TV. Christmas music on the radio. Christmas displays in the stores. Christmas swaps on Swap-Bot.

So… It’s not that I’m against Christmas. I’m NOT. I just feel a little left out because I don’t celebrate Christmas. I celebrate the season! (My holiday is “Hanuchristmakwanstice,” an all-inclusive holiday to encompass and embrace everyone and anyone.) As such, I need a nice, fun, non-Christmas themed swap to occupy my attention right now. Since I couldn’t find one, I’m making one. To all you Christmas-lovers out there, you are WELCOME in this swap! Please, join us! This is NOT a Christmas-hating swap. It simply does not have a Christmas theme.

OK, what are we doing in this swap? Well, I figured with all the pressure of the holidays upon us, we should do something easy. You will send one hand-made item of your choosing to your partner. Any hand-made item!

  • Does your partner collect or love sending postcards? Make a couple of postcards! (If you decide to send hand-made postcards or cards, please send at least two.)
  • Does your partner love magnets? Make a magnet!
  • Does your partner love journaling? Make a journal!
  • Does your partner love jewelry? Make a pair of earrings!

The item you make and send may be simple, but that does not mean sloppy. Please only send something that you would like to receive. If you make postcards, be sure they will withstand being sent in the mail. If you make a magnet, make sure it will stick to the fridge! Do not send junk.

Please include a nice little note along with your hand-made item that tells your partner a little bit about you and why you sent the item you made.

You guys get the idea. This swap is nice and easy, right? Of course, the item you send should NOT be Christmas- or holiday-themed. No red and green, no Christmas trees, no Santa Claus, no ornaments. It’s just a regular, plain-old swap.

This is an international swap, so you must have enough time and money to send a small package to a partner who may live outside of your country. If you don’t have these kinds of resources, please skip this swap. This is a flake-free zone.

This is not a profile-based swap. However, hearts (as always) are at the discretion of your partner and may be earned if you check your partner’s profile and make an item or pick colors/designs your partner loves. :)

On a personal note, this is only my fourth time hosting a swap – so let’s make it great! The minimum rating for this swap is 4.98; no unexplained 1s or 3s; you must have completed and been rated for at least five (5) Type 3 Swaps or ten (10) Type 2 swaps; and you must have a profile that is filled out well. I reserve the right to ban for any reason. I will angel this swap if necessary after you rate your partner a 1 – but please don’t make me!

HAPPY SWAPPING!

Ahh I wish I wasn't a newbie so I could participate! I hope to see this swap again after I have done some more swaps (:

I look forward to having you participate in my swaps once you're a more seasoned Swap-Botter, @setwhatoff :)
