Remember your grade school Valentine's Day Party? Putting your Valentine box out on your desk, walking around to each classmate's desk to deposit their little envelopes. And the best part, opening up your box and finding all those little love notes!

Purchase a box of those classroom valentine's, found at nearly every supermarket and dollar store. Pick your favorite cartoon or design, just like you did when you were a kid.

Your "class" will consist of 10 people. You'll send one valentine to each "classmate", don't forget to sign each one so they know who it's from!

Extras: For a special Valentine's Day treat, send those cards that come with a candy surprise! Or maybe a sheet of stickers.

You can NOT mail them in the small envelopes they come with. Just put each one in a larger envelope, with or without its small envelope.

Swappers with 4.9 rating and above and newbies with completely filled out profile welcome. No one with no-sends allowed. I will check all profiles and those with questionable ratings will be dropped.

Do these valentines need to have an envelope? Most that you buy now do not come with envelopes. Thanks.

mailjunkie 12/ 9/2014 #

I answered my own question. Missed it at the end the first time.

JennaZ 12/10/2014 #

No worries, mailjunkie! You're right, nowadays most do not come with envelopes any more, which is sad, that was one of my favorite parts when I was a kid, the surprise of opening them all!

This is so exciting I can't wait ! What a fun thoughtful idea. Those were fun times reading those cute little cards💌

spiffytiffy 12/30/2014 #

Be careful when you send the little valentines with the extra's, last year I had to pay a lot for extra postage to receive my swaps!

Ilene 01/ 4/2015 #

My first Swap Bot Swap! Looking forward to it...

sal410cat 01/ 5/2015 #

Oh my goodness this is cute. I can't wait.

Ilene 01/ 5/2015 #

Since I am a newbie, can you tell me how/when I get the Class List?

kimanets 01/ 6/2015 #

Do they have to be store bought valentines? I actually make my daughter's valentines for her class on photoshop, she often wants cards with a theme you can't find in a grocery store, like Doctor Who, or Full Metal Alchemist. We come up with cute things that tie into the show or theme to write on them and make them look like the ones you get in the store. Let me know if that's okay and I will join!

JennaZ 01/ 6/2015 #

Ilene, you will get your list of "classmates" after the signup date has passed. You will get an email saying it is time to start swapping, then just come back to the swap and click on "see the partners you send to."

JennaZ 01/ 6/2015 #

kimanets, in past years I have said handmade is fine IF store bought is not available. I want to replicate the classroom valentine experience as much as possible but I also know that occasionally you'd get a handmade one so I think this sounds fine. :)

Hi again, Jenna!

As a retired first/second grade teacher, I have really fond memories of the kids passing out and opening Valentines. I plan to make those little white envelopes if my box of Valentines doesn't have them. I am not sure if I have enough information on my "profile" since I just wrote it as a Newbie. Could you please look at it and let me know if I need to add more information...

khstarr10 01/ 9/2015 #

Oh I just love these. I can't wait-but will have to. Something to get excited about & look forward to. I'll definitely make a collage of them all to hang up afterward ! I think I did this the year before last. It was a lot of fun.

MiniQuilt 01/ 9/2015 #

I found a darling children's picture card as a 4-fold valentine card. It looks great, and I also can send the envelope with it. Does this work for you swap?

edgetorn 01/ 9/2015 #

I love little Valentine cards! I can't wait to buy mine and get started!

valentina22 01/10/2015 #

how about washi tape samples vs the pencils etc.?

craftybarbie 01/11/2015 #

This swap brings back good memories loved making the bags at school to put them in. I even kept a few so they are old ones. Can not wait to do this swap.

ladydy5 01/12/2015 #

Making a collage of them a good idea for another swap. Anyone interested in setting one up?

JennaZ 01/12/2015 #

MiniQuilt, I'm sure those would be just fine, they sound great!

AZmom875 01/13/2015 #

I have some older Hannah Montanna ones, (when Miley was sweet), and I hesitate to use them up, maybe someday the world will want proof and everyone else threw away their old HM stuff. I also have some High school musical ones. Again same thought = do I get rid of them or save them so my kids can sell my crap off in an estate sale when I die?

AllyZoldos 01/15/2015 #

I'm excited for this swap! Every year I would make homemade valentines for my employees. I do have some vintage ones that I found in my grandmothers attic, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to let go of those. I could possibly scan them.

Markybay 01/25/2015 #

Hi, I am a newbie and would like to join this swap. Does my profile look complete enough? Thank you :)

tweetyiscool29 01/25/2015 #

Doh! I was overly excited for this and signed up THEN noticed it was USA only. Oops! Ah well... (unless you've got room for a Canadian, lol) Have fun everyone!

JennaZ 01/26/2015 #

@Markybay looks good!

@tweetyiscool29 sorry USA only. Happy Valentine's Day anyway!

LittleDonnaGirl 02/ 1/2015 #

@JennaZ . . . I sent you a PM. :o) My items are ready to go today, but there is no Sunday pickup here. I mention this since the deadline listed to send is today (Feb.1). I was wondering if I should click "sent" or wait until tomorrow (day after the deadline) when I know the postman will pick them up.

dfirecracker 02/ 2/2015 #

LittleDonnaGirl: I recently joined 'SwapBot' and while looking through the FAQs, it said that as long as the package is complete, addressed, and in the mailbox - you're considered 'sent', even if it is a holiday or any other day that mail is not picked up. Hope that helps...! : )

dfirecracker 02/ 2/2015 #

** ... complete, addressed, and 'stamped', ready to go. ; )

artgirl29 02/ 2/2015 #

I also had the same issue and marked mine sent today because of the mail.

edgetorn 02/13/2015 #
