Swap details: Warning! This is going to be a bit of a labor intensive swap, but I believe that it will be really rewarding if the effort is put into it. :) This is going to be a swap where you send 12 letters to your partner all at once, meant to be opened one every month in the upcoming year 2015. You may wonder, "What am I going to write about?", but fear not! All will be revealed below.

♥ You will have 12 envelopes sealed and marked with the month, plus one envelope with an introduction letter explaining a little bit about yourself.

♥ Each envelope will have a minimum 1 page of substantial writing. 8.5 X 11 page written on one side lined or blank, but more is definitely welcome and appreciated. Typed is okay, but try to make it decorative! Not just Calibri size 11 font and blah. Handwriting is fine too.

♥ In addition, each envelope will contain a small flat item (bigger items are welcome). This can be anything from found art, a drawing, ATCs, stickers, bookmark, a 4X6 photo, paint chip colors you like. The only catch is that it has to be something you would like to share, or something that your partner would like, and you can't send the same thing twice.

♥ In addition to a small flat item and a letter, include a birthday card on your partner's birthday month, and one other card of your choice (Christmas, Easter, Valentines - whatever you would like.) As a guide, in each letter, half will be about yourself, and the other half will be about inspiring, or guiding your partner through the month. Eg. "It's summer now, don't be afraid to go out and get some sunshine."

NOTE: Some of these are the same as 2010 and 2011, others are new and different to write on. These are just random, open ended ones that I came up with, and if anyone has any other ideas, I'm open to adding them to the list :). EDIT: For the months that have more than one suggestion, choose either (or both!).

♥January: Fresh/Bold

♥February: Love

♥March: Create/Delight

♥April: Connect

♥May: Inspire/Delicacy

♥June: Continue/Travel

♥July: Beauty/Worthy

♥August: Miss

♥September: Hope/Strength

♥October: Spooky

♥November: Remember

♥December: Achieve

These are only ideas for what you can write about, as it can be hard to come up with so many ideas. If you have other ideas or something else to write about, that's 100% OK!

I would say that this is half sender's choice, and half partner related. You want to share information about yourself, and you also want to know facts about your partner such as if they are in a relationship, have kids, what their likes and dislikes are because you want to make this special for them. Something that can be started right away before partners are assigned are the envelope decorations, cards, and your part of the letter if you'd like, or there should be enough time after partners are assigned to make it.

EDIT: I have changed the send by date to January 10, 2015 to allow for more time to get everything prepared.

You should have a 5 rating (unrated welcome, but only with a filled out profile). No recent 1’s or 3’s. I will remove any questionable swappers.

Note! There is no cost limit/cost suggestion for this swap. You can very easily spend zero dollars, or very little (aside from postage!) depending on what you choose to do.

Also, you should rate your partner a 5 WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR PACKAGE if you receive your package with all the correct contents. Hearts are always welcome.

If you have questions, please message me, or comment below. (:

This sounds like a very interesting swap. So in total, it would be 13 envelopes with letters (1 intro and 12 for each month) plus 2 greetings cards (1 for birthday and 1 for another occasion). They would all need to be sent out altogether right?

Omi 12/ 4/2014 #

This sounds awesome, but the time between partners being assigned and having to mail is terribly short, especially considering so much of it is done taking your partner into consideration. I understand the reason for sending when it's marked (to arrive by January) but it's still... too quick for me, I think. If it were possible to change it, then maybe.

meganporter789 12/ 4/2014 #

I agree with Omi. This sounds like a very awesome swap but the time frame seems very short!!

NancyKz 12/ 5/2014 #

I would agree with the timeline but this idea is brilliant. If one got posted in November 2015 for 2016 I would totally do it!

ScrapHappyGabi 12/ 6/2014 #

This is completely up my alley but the turn around time is WAY too short considering the work that needs to go into it. If you want it done well - creatively---- not just tossed together, it would be so much better with a later send - if we send in MId January - the person will still receive IN January. Like I said-- LOVE this... love love love and would LOVE to participate but I just can't with such a soon send date.

Raniheartspaper: Yes, they all get sent out together.

Omi, Meganporter789, NancyKz, and ScrapHappyGai: I have taken into consideration your comments and have changed the send by date to January 10, 2015. This will allow for more time to get everything prepared.

@peach19 thank you for changing the swap! Before I join, I do have a question! I'm just a little confused as to what we're supposed to write each month. In January are we supposed to write something to encourage them to be Bold/Fresh? etc. Just want to make sure I have a full understanding of this before I join!

ScrapHappyGabi 12/ 6/2014 #

Good Question, @meganporter789 !!

peach19 12/ 7/2014 #

@meganporter789 and @scraphappygabi These are general ideas of what you can right about. So, yes, for January you can be encouraging them to be bold. You could include a poem, quote, or personal experience. Again, these are just ideas, if you have something else to write about that's 100% fine. Does this help? (:

meganporter789 12/10/2014 #

Yes it does! I will be joining then! Thanks @peach19

Mystic974 12/11/2014 #

Thanks for creating this swap. I wanted to join the other one, but didn't meet the swap quantity requirements. I'm really looking forward to this. :)

peach19 12/11/2014 #

@mystic974 I'm glad you are interested, however I do not see you on my list of participants.

Joyxke 12/12/2014 #

OMG, I'm excited! This sounds like a great swap! I have some spare time lying around so count me in :D.

"A bit of a labor intensive swap". It's a lot of work! Hahahahaha. How are you all doing? :)
