Description:

I know everyone seems to be reading the STEPHENIE MEYER'S book series---I thought that this could inspire us to creat some interesting ATC's! There are LOTS of themes in the Book series that you could use to create your cards--Vampires, Werewolves, Misty Forests of the Pacific Northwest. Well the list goes ON!BE CREATIVE!!! So in this swap we will have 2 partners and create 2 ATC's for each based on the TWILIGHT SERIES of books! (Hey there is a NEW one coming out in a early August-maybe MORE theme ideas?) People with ratings of 4.8 or higher to try and cut down on flakers, but Newbees can join if they message me first and have a completed Profile done! Between reading the novels-make a couple ATC's! Sounds like fun to me!

okeedokee...i've been avoiding trying something new for a long time now, but seems i can't do it anymore. i'm an atc newbie but for this topic, i'm totally willing to give it a shot! if anybody can point me in the general direction of creating atc's (size & medium ideas) i'd appreciate it. and if not, we'll i'm sure i can figure it out! ; )

Hey JustAnotherMaria - ATC's are just 2.5" x 3.5". I think that is your main limitation. I haven't made them in a while. I think you do whatever you want and they are only supposed to be traded, never sold but I see on ebay that people don't always adhere to that.

My 14-year-old daughter has blown through these books and was wondering if anyone would be willing to do a one-on-one swap with her (through me, of course!) for one ATC in the Twilight theme? If you are willing to trade with her (and I can show you pictures of her work on my website) then please pm me! Thanks! blessings, Gypsy

okay, someone pm'd me about doing a swap with my daughter, but I've lost the message---could you please pm me again?

I know GypsyDyann and Zoobekka did, but someone else did too! :)

Cobaltgypsy,

You could sign up for this swap and do the ATC's with your daughter. Every ATC swap I do, my 15 year old and I each make one. She is VERY talented and of course uses many mediums to create a work of art. It is great mother/daughter time.

also Just another Maria- along with the dimensions, just remember an ATC is a mini piece of art. Anything you use is fine, but the only bummer as an ATC'er is to be sent one where someone stuck a couple things quick on a piece of cardboard and called it complete. It should be something you put some time and creativity into to. I hope that helps a bit.

I am so excited about this one!! I started working on mine! woohoo!

nikirniemeier 10/23/2008 #

im getting so excited for this swap. i just finished making some edward cullen atc's for another swap, and had a marvelous time making them. these swaps inspired me to go get the official twilight font, and even bella, edward and jake's fonts as well. so fun!

I've read all the Twilight books and her new book "Host" [it's great, too]

I heard she canceled the next book in the series. It was supposed to be Twilight from Edwards POV, but someone posted it online when it was 3/4 done so she isn't writting any more of it. :(

I'm not sure I could do a Twilight ATC justice, but I'll try.

GypsyDyann 10/26/2008 #

It just has to be TWILIGHT INSPIRED, you can use other images to get the feeling you want to express.

I have not read the HOST book and didn't know about the Edwars POV idea either.....

Only another couple days to go on this and we'll have our Partners---I already have mine made!

nikirniemeier 10/27/2008 #

hey ladies .. you can actually check out 'midnight sun' on stephenie meyers website. it has about 10+ chapters i think. it is twilight from edward's point of view .. and a rough draft, but since it leeked on the web, i dont think she'd going to put it out.

its really neat because you actually get to see some more 'depth' to edward other than just being 'beautifully perfect'

dreamrains 10/28/2008 #

actually she said that she was planning on completing Midnight Sun... even though she was really upset that it got leaked.

zigg13pra 10/31/2008 #

Actually, she said that it's on hold indefinitely because of her mood about it getting leaked, if she finished it right now, the bad guys would win :D lol
