Where do you get nice stamps in the UK?

mo13 03/30/2015 #

same in Spain… no idea. Even the post office uses a machine :(

Solstice3 04/ 1/2015 #

@CreativeJane you can ask for stamps at the post office - ask for pictoral stamps. Or if you buy your stamps in batch go to philatelink.co.uk it's a minimum spend of £20 but you get 20% off the value of the stamps so it's a cheaper option in the long run. I get all my nice stamps from there :D

Just as a side note, I rarely talk about my job or what I do. I can give general terms, will that suffice?

Blodwyn 04/ 3/2015 #

@CreativeJane @mo13 : my penpals from UK or Spain always send me letters with real stamps so I didn't think it was difficult to have real stamps, sorry. At French post office, we can have real stamps if we ask for it, even if the post office also use a machine. That's all I know unfortunately. If it can help, it doesn't have to be necessarily a "nice" stamp but just a "real" one (a stamp not a sticker from a machine).

@Solstice3, thank you for your help and informations. :)

@RareBlue : yes, you can give general terms, it's enough.:)

You can get nice stamps in the UK, but when new ones are released each Post Office only has a limited amount, which they sell quite quickly. My post office automatically print a gold sticker for everything I send.

Hi! I'm new member :( From Argentina!

lakeleilani 04/ 5/2015 #

@Solstice3 Thanks for the Philatelink info. I was going to order new stamps from the Royal Mail website, but Philatelink is much better as you can choose the values you want, rather than buying a whole set.
