Description:

Once again, the Zine-Go-Round is leaving the station. All aboard!

Let's get those zines circulating again in Round 24!

Return rider?

Complete the next page in the last zine you received and pass it on! Just added the last page to a zine? Send it back to its owner! Now you can start a new zine or check the forums to see if someone has an extra that needs extra contributors. If at any time you lose interest or choose not to participate, please contact me so that the zines can continue to circulate! Good communication will continue to make these swaps successful!

New riders welcome!

Mini zines are small, self-published pieces of work. There is a good description of them here. For this collaborative project you will design the cover, pass it on, and six others will join in!

Please do the following:

For your first swap you will prepare one mini zine. Online video tutorial here and non-video tutorial here.

Choose a theme and design the front and back covers for your zine. -- On the back cover you may choose to leave space for each contributor to sign. Just make it clear by design or in your description note that this is what you want. (It should not be left blank.)

Include your mailing address and a short note describing your theme or anything related to the zine that you would like your partner to know. This will be included with your zine as it is passed on.

Once all of the inside pages have been filled, your zine will be sent back to you! Be sure that your return mailing address is printed clearly on the zine or in a note accompanying the zine.

Be aware that you are committing to send a completed zine back to it's owner by participating in this swap.

Additional notes:

If you choose to jump on the zine-go-round, realize that it will take six rounds to complete your zine if you create a typical six-page minizine! You are expected to continue participating in swaps during the rotation of your zine. That's part of the fun of a collaborative project :)

Zines may be sent flat or folded (the latter will save you on postage).

Participants are expected to post on the Zine-Go-Round forum on ZMACS as zines are sent and received.

Open to all ZMACS members in good standing.

Thanks to starmccoy for her kind permission to use the image of her zine.

Should the zine page be the final photocopied version or the original taped/glued and pieced together version? (Does this make sense? :-/)

You are sending the same original from person to person in this swap. Sometimes the owner of the zine makes copies for everybody when they receive their completed zine back with each page done by each "stop" on the zine trail.

Here is a clicky-link for the most popular style of minizine I've seen on the ZGR
