Description:

For this swap, you will have one (1) partner. Your task is to write a letter to yourself, your future self. The letter can be about ANYthing. Perhaps you are setting a goal for yourself, perhaps you are struggling with something, etc. The letter should be at least one page 8" x11" or 2 pages of a letter set 5.5" x 7.5" The letter you write to yourself needs to be in a sealed envelope, with postage, and addressed to yourself.

Your sealed, stamped, and self-addressed envelope/letter will be sent to your partner. Write your partner a decent paragraph (5-6 sentences) about what you chose to write about and why. This can be a generic description if your letter is personal (hence why the letter to yourself is sealed).

At a random time in the future: a month from now . . . maybe six months . . . maybe longer . . . your partner is tasked with the responsibility of mailing you the letter you wrote to yourself. DO NOT tell your partner when you've mailed their letter back. The purpose of this swap is to be cathartic (present) and to reflect on where you've come from, how you've changed and progressed, or evaluate what you still need to work on (future).

Keep in mind, the longer partners wait to mail back the letters to yourself, the better!! You will likely forget about it, and then one day, there it is! Again, DO NOT tell your partner when you've mailed their letter back.

Notes

-Must have a 4.98 rating to participate.

-No unexplained 1s or 3s and no 1s or 3s within the past month (June 19-July 19).

-Sign up deadline is one week from today (July 19th), but you will have 3-4 weeks to write and send the letter. The send date is so far out just because some of these letters may not be easy to write.

-Ratings are expected once the letter and paragraph are received by your partner.

-This swap is highly on the honor system as we must be able to trust that our partners will not read our letters and will send it back.

-This swap is US only this time, but if there is a demand for an international version, I will consider hosting another.

-Letters to yourself may be typed, but the paragraph to your partner should be written in your own hand.

Love this swap idea! Let me know if you do an international - The swap will need to take into account different postage - Which I have unused US stamps!

International version is being hosted in the group: Idiosyncratic Unicorns. :)
