Description:

I love making "one ring journals," and they are a great surprise to receive in the mail! They are easy to make. Just find some journal cards or small pieces of interesting paper to use as the pages. To make them into pages, punch one hole and slide them into the ring. For this swap, I would like you to make a one ring journal with these requirements:

  • Sturdy covers

  • at least 5 pages (Some suggestions: pieces of scrapbook paper, doilies, large journal cards, and small book pages) Make sure that both sides of each page is decorated.

  • one if not more "dangles" (beads, tags, or bells)

  • some goodies hidden in pockets on the journal

Make your journal fun to touch and open. Send something you would like to receive!

What exactly are one ring journals? Do you have a picture? Thanks!

Are we using 3x4 or 4x6 journal cards?

A one ring journal should look like this:

You can use any size of journal cards, but journal cards are just a suggestion! You can use whatever piece of paper you have lying around. I have used painted card stock to great success.

Hope you join! Yours doesn't have to be so intricate. They are super fun to make!

I cannot get into this swap at this time but I sure hope you do it again!

Can these be mailed in padded envelopes? Otherwise how do you mail them?

homeandheart 08/ 8/2016 #

I too can't join now, but I hope to see it again!

I always mail things in padded envies. That way, nothing is damaged during transit. If you want to mail in a normal envie, you can bubble wrap it. Hope you join!
