I keep seeing button fairies everywhere but I am new to button "people" and want to try this new art form, so for all those who are new to button people or this type of craft this is the swap for you! I want this to be a swap for "Newbie" button doll makers. If this is your first or third try at making these dolls please sign up. Also please everyone who get a doll in the swap, be aware that everyone is a newbie and rate for effort, style and received- even if its not your style. If you want to know how to make these little gems check out flikr or do a quick search there are tons of pages on how to.

Anyone know where to get the faces from to make these.. I've looked online but I can't seem to find any faces like all the examples ive seen ?

Yea! So glad to find this. Been looking for a button fairy swap that is friendly to those that have not done it before. I have the same question as daffodilgirl - where does everyone find the cute faces and the pretty wings?

a lot of the photos used are old vintage style photos found online nad printed. I found a bunch of butterfly wings at my local scrapbook store that are perfect and easy to use. You can also do a search for just butterfly wings and print them on different styles of paper!

I found the link for the Button Fairy tutorial very Helpful. After looking at all the great Button Fairy Pictures. It sure helped me to keep an open eye for things you can use for these dolls. :)
